Animal Hospital of Shawnee Hills

We’ve been coming here since right after my first chihuahua passed away in 2019. First for my Brittany, Maddie, and then for my new Chihuahua Peso. They are always so sweet, thorough, and clear at visits but also in following up. I get texts or calls after vaccinations or surgeries checking in. It was always easy to work with them when Maddie needed meds, and they were good for a laugh (like when Mads had her last dental and was causing a bit of a ruckus with her crying). Last week, Maddie unexpectedly had a medical issue. Thankfully my husband was home, and called the vet. He was told to come right in, and they saw her immediately. Unfortunately, things weren’t good and we were given three possible prognosis. They further consulted in the case, and unfortunately we had to make a tough decision. I felt confident though I was doing what was best based on the information we were able to receive from the vet. I was able to come up and be there, and that experience was made as positive as possible all things considered. I felt the warmth and care I’ve come to expect here. We’ve since received a condolences card, with numerous hand written care messages from names I’ve come to know through the years. I’m so happy to call this our vet, and hope for a very long relationship with Peso. We appreciate everything they do.

We are established customers, but our Yorkie was not feeling well before we were leaving for a trip. They were able to get us in quickly and she was on the mend before we had to leave. Peace of mind for us!

When i rescued my pup 10 years ago he was already seen here a few times, so i felt obligated to continue to use the clinic. Typically id read reviews, and find the best place for him. To say we got lucky and hit the lottery is an understatement. My boy has had more than his fair share of issues over the years, every time I'm overly impressed with how they help us. Ive had a technician drop off meds at my house on her way home, i had a doctor come in after hours on a weekend when my boy was hurt, and the list goes on a on. It has a family feel and everyone you work with will give you that type of help and attention. With everything that has happened with my boy, he could be in a lot worse shape or not with us anymore. I feel confident in saying, the Animal Hospital of Shawnee Hills has saved his life and given him good quality years. Thank you!

We love all of the doctors and vet techs at Animal Hospital of Shawnee Hills! They give exceptional love and care to our Senior dog, and make scheduling and ordering medication very easy!

The staff is very responsive and helpful when we need help with our dog. They care for their patients and give helpful steps for care. The front desk goes above and beyond to help in the moment and ease our concerns. I really appreciate the staff and everyone there.
