I am so happy with this vet! They got me in almost immediately on Saturday when I was worried about how my dog was acting. Needless to say, my dog is fine. All is good! I've been going here since 2004 with all 4 of the dogs that I've had and have. Highly recommend Fairview Animal Hospital.

Animal Hospital-Fairview Park Introduce
Welcome, local pet owners, to an in-depth introduction to Animal Hospital-Fairview Park, a dedicated pet hospital located at 4480 W 220th St, Cleveland, OH 44126, USA. As a vital part of the Pet Hospital category, Animal Hospital-Fairview Park strives to provide comprehensive and compassionate care for your cherished animal companions. You can reach them at (440) 777-2700 or via mobile at +1 440-777-2700.
Based on available information, Animal Hospital-Fairview Park has been serving the local community for a significant period. One long-term customer, who has been visiting since 2004 with four different dogs, speaks highly of their experience, particularly noting their ability to accommodate urgent appointments on a Saturday and expressing overall satisfaction with the care provided over the years. This positive feedback suggests a history of reliable and responsive service.
However, it's important to present a balanced view by also considering more recent customer experiences. One review details a negative grooming experience. According to the customer, their dog's nails were not properly trimmed during a scheduled grooming appointment, leaving them excessively long. The customer reported difficulty in getting a timely follow-up appointment for the nail trim, which was part of the initially paid service. While the manager eventually intervened to provide a same-day appointment, the subsequent nail trimming experience was described as traumatic for the dog. The reviewer alleges that the technician cut the nails too short, causing the dog to cry, scream, and bleed, ultimately leading to the customer halting the procedure before all nails were trimmed. This customer expressed significant distress and vowed not to return.
In a follow-up update to this review, the customer mentioned a response from Fairview Animal Hospital on the Better Business Bureau (BBB). The customer disputes the hospital's claim that their dog attempted to bite the technician. They also highlight the hospital's seemingly contradictory statement acknowledging the dog's typically calm and cooperative demeanor. The customer further clarifies that the initial grooming did not include nail clipping and that they were the one who instructed the technician to stop due to the dog's distress. This update underscores the customer's dissatisfaction with the hospital's handling of the situation and their response.
Another customer also expressed initial positive sentiments, stating they liked the doctors and had been a long-term client. However, their recent experience echoed the grooming issues, specifically mentioning that their dog's nails were not cut during a grooming appointment and were left so long they were causing the dog to trip. This customer also reported poor service from the reception staff regarding rescheduling the nail trim. While the manager resolved the immediate scheduling issue, the subsequent nail trimming by a technician resulted in the dog's nails being cut too short, causing pain and bleeding. This reviewer also mentioned a witness in the waiting room who was concerned by the dog's cries and concluded that the technician acted excessively. The customer reported attempting to speak with the manager but being transferred to the technician involved, further exacerbating their negative experience and leading to their decision not to return.
Considering these reviews, it appears that while Animal Hospital-Fairview Park may have a history of providing satisfactory veterinary care, there are recent concerns regarding their grooming services, particularly nail trimming, and potentially customer service aspects related to these issues. Prospective local users should be aware of these varied experiences.

Feb 24, 2025 · SRX****Update 8/16***** this complaint was submitted on BBB. Fairview animal hospital has responded claiming that my dog tried to BITE the technican. This NEVER happened. They also added at the end of the paragraph how great my dog is, which is absolutely true she is always calm and cooperative they tell me this every single time I pick her up! Unbelievable! And to clarify , the nails were not clipped on initial grooming. I am the one who told the tech to stop because my dog was screaming. There are things that you can let slide like an undercooked burger and everyone has a bad day but you don’t involve hurting an animal. Lying is completely unacceptable and this lady needs to be held accountable!!!! Someone who truly loves animals would never do that. Their response to me has been added in the below images.******** I thought this was a good animal hospital to go to and I do like the doctors. I have been going for years, until today. My dog had a grooming appointment where her nails were not cut and LONG they were hitting the ground, I could hear them scraping causing her to trip. I was told she had to wait a week to get her nails trimmed for a service I already paid for a week ago. Finally had to speak with the manager who got me in same day. Poor service and not a good business look from receiption who should have got me in. The TECH who cut her nails cut them down to stubs!!! Making excuses that they were not long and her quick is too long. Well she took her anger out on her my dog was screaming crying and bleeding. I had to tell her to stop. We left with 3 nails unclipped because I couldn’t bare watching her go through that. Even a customer in the waiting room said she could hear her cry’s and was concerned. ***She took too much off on purpose!!!*** I will never come back here again!! I am beyond upset and horrified at this behavior and so sad that my dog had to go through this. Check your employees. Customer lost! **we called to speak with Manager only to be transferred to the Tech who did this** Photos added - the sore was already there from prior injury this is AFTER and the before you can see her nails are touching the ground the tech took half of her nail off when all she needed was a trim. Awful!

Feb 19, 2025 · Amanda McKinnieThey gave my baby a fighting chance. Dr. Malinich went above and beyond. She did a wonderful job to help care for my pup. Everyone in this office is supportive and caring. They stuck by my little baby until the end. I have nothing but gratitude for their support and compassion. They did their best and so did my baby. Everyone there is so kind and caring, I can't express how much it means to me. They understood how important Izzy is...I've had her for more than half my life. I highly recommend this clinic.
