This veterinary clinic showed a concerning lack of care and professionalism. They refused to examine our cat to determine what was wrong, instead suggesting that we take him to Cornell without first ensuring he was stable. They even asked if we wanted to euthanize him but were unwilling to reassess his condition based on his previous care. There was no compassion for the life of our pet. Fortunately, another local vet was willing to examine him, stabilize him, and provide the necessary care. It’s heartbreaking to think he might not have survived the trip to Cornell. I strongly recommend seeking a more compassionate and thorough veterinarian before bringing your pet here.

As a facility categorized as a 'Pet Hospital', it's natural for pet owners to expect a comprehensive range of services, including emergency care, diagnostics, and compassionate treatment for their animals.
The Animal Hospital - Endwell NY presents itself as a facility equipped to handle various aspects of pet health. Typically, a pet hospital of this nature aims to provide a broad spectrum of veterinary services, ranging from routine wellness checks and vaccinations to more complex medical and surgical interventions. For local users, the convenience of having a dedicated pet hospital in the community means a potential resource for immediate needs and ongoing care. In terms of goods for sale, veterinary clinics often offer a selection of prescription pet foods, preventative medications such as flea and tick treatments, and sometimes even specialized pet care products. This allows pet owners to conveniently acquire necessary items recommended by their veterinarian directly from the facility.
Regarding the environment of such a facility, a pet hospital generally strives to create a calming and hygienic atmosphere for both pets and their owners. This often includes separate waiting areas for cats and dogs to reduce stress, examination rooms designed for comfort and ease of access, and clean, well-maintained treatment areas. A professional and welcoming front desk staff is also a common feature, providing assistance with appointments, billing, and general inquiries. The overall environment aims to instill confidence in pet owners that their animals are in a safe and caring place. However, it's important to note that specific details about the interior design or precise amenities of Animal Hospital - Endwell NY are not widely available in public information. Pet hospitals are also typically equipped with diagnostic tools such as X-ray machines, ultrasound equipment, and in-house laboratories to facilitate rapid and accurate diagnoses. Surgical suites are also standard for performing various procedures, from routine spays and neuters to more involved operations.
In terms of services, a typical pet hospital aims to offer a full suite of veterinary care. This usually encompasses:
Preventative Care: This includes routine wellness exams, vaccinations tailored to a pet’s lifestyle and risk factors, parasite prevention and control (fleas, ticks, heartworm, intestinal parasites), and nutritional counseling to help pets maintain a healthy weight and diet.
Diagnostic Services: Common diagnostic tools include blood work (CBC, chemistry panels), urinalysis, fecal examinations, digital radiography (X-rays), ultrasound, and sometimes specialized tests for specific conditions. These services are crucial for identifying health issues early and accurately.
Medical Treatment: Management of acute and chronic illnesses, including allergies, dermatological conditions, gastrointestinal issues, respiratory problems, and various infectious diseases. This often involves prescribing medications, fluid therapy, and supportive care.
Surgical Services: Ranging from routine spay and neuter procedures to soft tissue surgeries (e.g., tumor removal, foreign body removal) and potentially some orthopedic procedures, depending on the hospital’s specialization and equipment.
Dental Care: Professional dental cleanings, extractions, and management of periodontal disease are vital for a pet's overall health.
Emergency and Urgent Care: While the term "hospital" often implies emergency capabilities, the extent can vary. True emergency hospitals are typically staffed 24/7 with specialized equipment for critical cases. Standard pet hospitals may offer urgent care during business hours or be equipped to stabilize critical patients before referral.
Pain Management: Strategies for managing acute and chronic pain, often involving a combination of medications and other therapies.
Geriatric Care: Tailored care plans for older pets, focusing on managing age-related conditions and maintaining quality of life.
Specific details about the full range of services offered by Animal Hospital - Endwell NY would typically be found on their official website or by directly contacting them. However, based on the general category of "Pet Hospital," these are the common services one would anticipate.

A facility’s features can include advanced medical technology, a team of experienced and specialized veterinarians, and a supportive administrative staff. Some hospitals may also offer boarding services, grooming, or specialized rehabilitation therapies, which can be additional convenient features for pet owners.
Promotional information for a pet hospital typically highlights its commitment to animal welfare, the expertise of its staff, and the range of services it provides. This might include testimonials from satisfied clients, special offers for new patients, or details about their approach to patient care. For Animal Hospital - Endwell NY, any promotional efforts would likely focus on their local presence and their role in the Endwell community's pet health landscape. This could involve promoting annual wellness plans, discounted initial examinations for new clients, or special campaigns for vaccinations or dental health awareness. Often, veterinary practices will engage in community outreach, offering educational seminars or participating in local events to build relationships with pet owners.
However, it is also important to acknowledge the public perception and feedback available. Online reviews provide insights into customer experiences, and in the case of Animal Hospital - Endwell NY, some concerning feedback has been shared. One review describes a situation where the clinic allegedly "showed a concerning lack of care and professionalism," refusing to examine a cat in distress and suggesting euthanasia without reassessment. The reviewer emphasizes a perceived "zero compassion" and a lack of willingness to stabilize the pet before referral. Another review echoes this sentiment, stating they "wouldn’t even check our cat to see if he was stable" during an emergency, despite the facility being labeled as a "hospital." These reviews suggest that while the facility is categorized as a "Pet Hospital," which implies a certain level of emergency and comprehensive care, individual experiences can vary significantly. Such feedback is a critical part of the objective introduction as it provides a multi-faceted view of the establishment. It highlights the importance for prospective clients to conduct their own due diligence, perhaps by visiting the facility or speaking with staff, to determine if it aligns with their expectations for veterinary care and compassion.
In summary, Animal Hospital - Endwell NY, as a 'Pet Hospital' located at 373 Hooper Rd, Endwell, NY, aims to be a resource for pet owners in the area. While the general expectations for a pet hospital include a clean environment, a comprehensive range of medical services, and potentially the sale of pet-related goods, specific customer experiences, as reflected in available reviews, indicate areas where expectations regarding emergency care and compassionate treatment may not always be met. Prospective clients are encouraged to consider all available information when choosing a veterinary provider for their pets.

Mar 24, 2025 · Brandon PotterCame here with an emergency as this place is labeled as a hospital. Clearly they are not as they wouldn’t even check our cat to see if he was stable. Had zero compassion and couldn’t care less if our cat died.
Mar 24, 2025 · Debra PotterHorrible customer service. They do not actually care about animals. They were willing to let our cat die rather than check him out. Do not go here!
Mar 24, 2025 · Brayson PotterI can’t say enough positive comments about Dr Elmore. We had a sick dog that ended up passing away. Prior to his passing, Dr Elmore researched and thoroughly spent time on what the problem could be. He called us back after several phone calls and visits trying to figure out what route to take. The time he spent on our dog and his professionalism will always be remembered during such a difficult time for our family. We are lucky to have him as our vet.
Dec 14, 2023 · Emily TochenyCan charge $200 for 5 mins of work but can't have $30 light fixed in the waiting room that is putting out a very high pitch noise. Not only was it bothering me but my kitty wasn't to happy having that blasted in her ears waiting for her appointment and sure all the other pets are not to happy listening to that. I told the persons working the reception desk and told me "well you get used too it".
