Services

As a "Pet Hospital," Animal Health Center is expected to provide a foundational range of veterinary services to address the common health needs of companion animals, primarily dogs and cats. While a detailed list of all services is not explicitly provided, a clinic of this nature typically offers the following core services:

  • General Wellness and Preventive Care: This forms the cornerstone of proactive pet health. It would include routine physical examinations, which are essential for monitoring a pet's overall health and detecting any issues early. Vaccinations are a critical part of preventive care, protecting pets from various infectious diseases. Guidance on parasite control, including prevention and treatment for fleas, ticks, and internal parasites, would also be a standard offering.

  • Diagnosis and Treatment of Illnesses and Injuries: Animal Health Center would be equipped to assess and manage a variety of common pet ailments, from minor injuries to general illnesses. This involves conducting examinations to diagnose conditions and developing appropriate treatment plans. While specific diagnostic capabilities (like X-rays or in-house lab equipment) are not detailed, a functional veterinary clinic would either have these tools available or utilize external laboratory services for comprehensive diagnostic insights.

  • Minor Surgical Procedures: Many general veterinary practices perform routine surgical interventions. This would typically include spaying and neutering, which are crucial for population control and preventing certain health conditions. They might also handle minor soft tissue surgeries such as small mass removals or laceration repairs.

  • Dental Care: Basic dental services, such as dental examinations and professional cleanings, are often provided to maintain a pet's oral health, which is closely linked to their overall well-being.

  • Prescription Medications: The clinic would dispense necessary prescription medications to treat various conditions, likely from an in-house pharmacy for immediate needs or through prescription services.

  • Nutritional Counseling: Offering advice on appropriate pet nutrition helps owners make informed decisions about their pet's diet, contributing to their long-term health and vitality.

The ability to secure "quick and easy" appointments suggests an operational model that prioritizes timely access to these services, which is particularly beneficial for pet owners when their animals are in distress or require prompt attention.

Being new to area, I called around to ALL the other vet clinics as far away as 1.5 hrs, and no one would see my pet rats for humane euthanasia MY way (meaning they stayed in my hands through the entire process), not passing them off to a complete stranger during their most stressful and final time here on earth. No one except Dr. Foster agreed to do this for me. He mentioned surgery as a possibility to euthanasia, and I was so happy to hear that because euthanasia is the last choice of kindness I can for my beloved rats when there are no alternatives. These rats mean as much to me as do dogs & cats to their owners. I am looking forward to my first meeting with Dr. Foster, as I have heard nothing but wonderful things about him. ~The Cajun Mischief 馃悂馃悁

The sign was to small for me to see notice off the highway. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I would recommend getting your furry baby spayed or neutered here. The price is more reasonable then other places. They only keep your baby overnight a upon request. So be warned your little one will be very sleepy and act like they are drunk when walking or standing.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS TO THIS VETS OFFICE! What a total waste of money. My sister took her Boston Terrier who had puppies in yesterday afternoon. The vet took one look at her, did not do a through check and acted like my brother in law was an idiot for bringing her in. His exact words were "this is not her first rodeo and she will be fine". This morning we got up and found her dead. When my sister called their office to inform them that she would not be paying the bill (she was upset and hung up on her after she said what she needed to say)the receptionist called back and was extremely rude trying to state how great of a vet he is (obviously not) and that she would be billed regardless even though the dog died. Absolutely no remorse and was very argumentative and extremely rude. Hope the $25 collection bill is worth it for this guy and his sideshow of idiots that runs his office. 55 years of experience doesn't mean jack if you don't perform your job correctly. Absolutely disgusting the way they handled this situation and the conversation with his receptionist after the fact. Do yourself a favor and do not take your animals to these hacks. No one should be going through what my sister is going through now over their lack of care.
