I was so worried about my three year old dog Mama when I got there and from the receptionist to Sarah to Dr. G I couldn’t have been happier with the care that they showed me for my girl. I am sure I am one of the lucky ones that walked out of there, knowing that her site was going to be fine. They were very compassionate. They ran several tests and I have recommended them already as soon as I got out the door and got on the phone. I told my friends about them if they ever have eye problems dog or cat that is a place to go. I gave them a rating of five if there would’ve been more choices I would’ve given them whatever the highest was thank you so much Animal Eye Consultants and God, my prayers were answered and I’ll see you in six months.

While specific details about the clinic's environment are not explicitly provided in the given information, one can infer the presence of a professional and likely comfortable setting designed to cater to the needs of both pets and their owners. A specialized pet hospital like Animal Eye Consultants typically features examination rooms equipped with the necessary diagnostic tools and equipment for thorough ophthalmic evaluations. You can likely expect a reception area where pet owners can check in and wait, and potentially designated areas for specialized procedures or treatments. The emphasis on compassionate care, as highlighted in a positive customer review, suggests a welcoming and reassuring atmosphere for animals who may be experiencing discomfort or anxiety related to their eye conditions.
The core service offered by Animal Eye Consultants is specialized veterinary ophthalmology. This encompasses a wide array of diagnostic, treatment, and surgical interventions for various eye diseases and conditions affecting pets, primarily dogs and cats, as indicated by a satisfied customer. Their expertise likely includes comprehensive eye examinations, intraocular pressure measurements (tonometry), corneal staining to detect ulcers or abrasions, and potentially advanced imaging techniques to assess the internal structures of the eye. They are equipped to handle conditions ranging from common issues like conjunctivitis and dry eye to more complex problems such as cataracts, glaucoma, retinal diseases, and eye injuries.
Based on the positive testimonial, a significant feature of Animal Eye Consultants appears to be their compassionate and attentive approach to patient care. The reviewer specifically mentioned the kindness and support shown by the entire team, from the receptionist to the veterinary staff, during a time of worry for their pet. This emphasis on empathy and understanding can be crucial in alleviating the stress often associated with veterinary visits, especially when dealing with a sensitive issue like vision problems. The thoroughness of their diagnostic process is also evident in the review, as the customer mentioned that "several tests" were conducted to accurately assess their dog's condition.
However, it is important to present a balanced perspective, and one review highlighted a significant issue with customer service, specifically regarding appointment wait times. This feedback indicates that while the quality of medical care might be commendable, there may be areas for improvement in terms of scheduling efficiency and communication to ensure a smoother and more respectful experience for pet owners. The reviewer expressed frustration over a substantial delay in being seen and a further wait for discharge paperwork, suggesting that time management and client communication are aspects that potential clients might want to consider.
Despite the negative feedback regarding waiting times, the positive review strongly recommends Animal Eye Consultants for pet owners whose dogs or cats are experiencing eye problems. The reviewer's willingness to recommend them immediately after their visit underscores the positive impact of the care received and the confidence they have in the expertise of the veterinary team. Nov 08, 2024 · Connie ClagueHorrible customer service. Dr. G, you have a lot of gall to lecture me on patience. We waited over an hour for you. (appointment was for 2:15, finally saw you at 3:35) If we had been an hour or more late I'm sure you would have canceled the appointment and charged us anyway. We also waited 10-15 more minutes for this discharge letter. I'm not frustrated with the dog. I'm frustrated that you think this is an acceptable way to run a business. This type of behavior will not help you either...
Mar 21, 2025 · Jack AddingtonHad the unfortunate event of having to take our daushund here after noticing vision issues. The vet techs were friendly and made sure to explain all the tests that were being done. The veterinarian was very thorough and reassuring through the process. The price is high, but that is expected for this level of care and specialty.
Jan 25, 2024 · Nicole HotzDr. G quickly identified the problem with my puppies’ eyes and we started an aggressive treatment plan that saved their eyes and vision. And the staff is so nice! So glad we had this resource close to us. (Before treatment and after treatment pictures)
May 28, 2024 · Kate HalterExpensive egomaniac. If you ask a question he becomes aggressive as if you are questioning his ability but you are only asking to make sure you understand… since he is the doctor and you are not. The exaggerated expense for any kind of surgery is absolutely ridiculous. It has nothing to do with surgeries it’s the hundreds of dollars you spend on medications that you animal “needs”. Then let’s not forget the follow up visits that are astronomical. Then after an extensive wait time to be seen, you have to wait an additional 20 to 30 minutes for them to take your money.Just do your homework before seeking any kind of care from here. And G, I don’t need you to respond with your long winded response explanation of how everything was said up front and that it takes time blah blah blah. Just do better, be kinder, and remember these are people and their loved pets you are dealing with not a research lab.
