These people were very caring. Harry Dawg my 88 pound Golden Doddle lover boy was attacked by a not so friendly nor trained German Shepard. They allowed me to remain with my boy since he was more nervous about being separated from me than from the open wounds in his neck. The doctor and staff politely allowed me to provide reassuring comfort to my frightened dog in the examination room all the way up to and including the administration of the anesthesia staying with him as its effects took place. That was important to me and my buddy. They did a very nice job in surgery with stitches and drainage tubes explaining everything in a calming manner to my wife and myself. They were very helpful on a emotional level with me as well as with Harry's disposition. The pricing was VERY fair. Quite reasonable compared to other experiences in the past were I felt victimized being in a vulnerable moment. Even the post care with multiple return visits, removing drainage tubes and stitches, the staff and Doctor were friendly and without annoying additional charges. I wish my regular vets over the years were as kind. I don't often post reviews. But in an emergency, as you might read this when your pet is in trouble, it is good to know, from my perspective, that there is a safe and welcoming place to bring your beloved animal friend. Two thumbs up!

Animal Emergency Hospital of Redmond Introduce
For pet owners in Redmond, Washington, the well-being of their beloved animal companions is paramount. When unexpected health crises or injuries occur, having access to a reliable and capable "Pet Hospital" becomes essential. The Animal Emergency Hospital of Redmond, situated at 8451 164th Ave NE Suite 100, Redmond, WA 98052, USA, stands as a critical resource for the local community, offering immediate veterinary care when it's needed most. With readily available contact numbers, (425) 250-7090 and +1 425-250-7090, they provide a lifeline for pet owners facing urgent medical situations.
Based on the testimonials from actual pet owners, the Animal Emergency Hospital of Redmond distinguishes itself through the exceptional compassion and care exhibited by its staff. One particularly moving account details the experience of a pet owner whose Golden Doodle was traumatically injured. The reviewer specifically highlighted the staff's understanding and accommodation in allowing the owner to remain with their distressed dog throughout the initial examination and even during the induction of anesthesia. This thoughtful approach, recognizing the pet's anxiety and the owner's need to provide comfort, speaks volumes about the hospital's commitment to emotional well-being alongside medical treatment. The detailed explanation of the surgical procedure and post-operative care further underscores their dedication to clear communication and support for pet owners during stressful times.
Furthermore, this reviewer explicitly praised the fair and reasonable pricing of the services, contrasting it favorably with previous emergency veterinary experiences where they felt financially burdened during a vulnerable period. The transparency in billing, even during follow-up visits for necessary post-operative care, reinforces the impression of an ethical and patient-focused practice. This is a crucial aspect for pet owners who may be concerned about the often-high costs associated with emergency veterinary interventions.
Another pet owner shared a positive experience concerning an urgent, albeit not immediately life-threatening, medical issue. They specifically appreciated the prompt attention received, noting the absence of a wait time, which is a significant advantage when a pet is unwell. The hospital's willingness to work within the owner's preferences regarding treatment, specifically avoiding sedation for a high-risk animal, demonstrates a collaborative approach to pet care. While this reviewer noted a minor communication lapse during the initial assessment, they ultimately felt that the hospital provided effective care and engaged in necessary discussions before proceeding with any invasive treatments. The acknowledgment that the costs were reasonable for an after-hours clinic aligns with the general understanding of emergency veterinary service pricing.

Mar 20, 2025 · Jeff WhittingtonWe had a reasonably good experience here with an urgent (not emergent) medical condition. No wait, which was great, and they did their best to help my dog with his infected anal gland without sedation and discharged us with medical management which is what I requested as I am not comfortable with my dog being sedated outside of a true hospital setting as he is high risk for anesthesia. The 1 star off is because as I was finishing paperwork I was told they were going to examine my dog and then come talk to me before rendering any treatment, however I was waiting a long time and asked the front if they could check on him, and what actually happened is they had already been treating him in the back. I would have appreciated a quick chat about the diagnosis and what treatment they were planning before proceeding given that it wasn't immediately life-threatening, not for cost reasons, but just so I could make an informed decision. In the end I believe they did their best to help my dog and they did discuss with me before proceeding with anything invasive like sedation. Costs are reasonable given that it's an after hours clinic.
Jan 31, 2025 · Annikka Frostad-ThomasI spoke to a friendly voice on the phone explaining my cat's issues and my desperate attempt to find relief for her coughing and sneezing. I explained that I didn't have a much cash. A couple of hundred and if it would be more could they work with me. The voice on the line assured me that it was imperative I bring my cat in asap and everything else will be worked out when I arrived. When I arrived, front door was locked, not sure why and I explained who I was etc. She took my cat and asked me to sit in the lobby. A few min later she took me to an examining room. I waited for less then 5 min and the Vet came in and sat down and said .. "your not going to get very far on what you can afford. My initial fee for just seeing your cat is what you have so I can't do any tests but .... Blah blah blah .. ". I will never ever speak highly of this Vet. She is only interested in your bank roll and has no empathy or sympathy for your animals suffering or your agony from worry. Not recommended.
Dec 28, 2024 · Jennifer SheridanWe are so grateful and happy for the amazing care and service we received for our kitty last week. He ingested something he should not have and we were worried about internal bleeding. Dr Kane and her assistant were awesome, they took him right back and examined him. Unfortunately the only option was surgery to get the issue resolved. They took great care of our boy, all were professional and kind. Highly recommend!
Sep 09, 2024 · Sarah HooksPlease, please, please do not take your animal here for any reason. My friend’s kitten died here today after being misdiagnosed. A male vet told her yesterday her kitten had an abdominal obstruction and needed surgery this morning. This morning a female vet told my friend her kitten didn’t need surgery because she’d just tested this kitten for FPV, the kitten was positive for the virus and needed to be euthanized. My friend called me in severe distress and asked if I’d advocate for her and speak to this vet on speakerphone and try to find out what was happening. I was on the phone when the vet came into the room and my friend asked if she’d talk with both of us to understand what was happening. The vet forcefully yelled into the phone, “NO!” and left the room, slamming the door behind her. There are too many troubling things that happened at this clinic to detail. But overall, the kitten’s health had deteriorated to such an untenable condition while in this clinic’s care overnight that he was on oxygen, had completely white gums and couldn’t open his eyes. He had be euthanized before he could be moved to an authentic critical care vet ER. Yes, the website states that this clinic specializes in critical care as well as emergency medicine, as shown in the picture, but my friend was told her kitten needed a critical care criticalist and was given a list of clinics, as shown in the picture, where she could take her dying kitten to an authentic, licensed and trained critical care vet facility. Incompetence and cruelty at every step. No one at this clinic should not be allowed to practice medicine. In reading over all of the one star reviews of this clinic, they all share the same theme. Please learn from these reviews and take your animal a few blocks down to VEG. VEG recently treated my dog when she ingested raisins. It was the best vet ER experience we’ve ever had due to the high level of professionalism and care. My dog never left my side and they even have a dedicated bedroom where you can spend the night with your sick animal. Best group of vets in Redmond. VEG also has a fund called VEG Cares that will help with your vet ER bills if you qualify for it due to financial hardship. WSAHF also has a program called Vets Helping Pets where any vet in WA can contact them and ask for a grant to help cover your vet ER medical bills if you qualify due to financial hardship. Please keep these things in mind and read the reviews. This place is terrifying, deceptively and grossly incompetent and inhumane.
