I came in on Sunday, may 11th because my dog was vomiting and refused to eat over the course of 3 days. Julie, the vet, was extremely easy going and informative. Very professional. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about the woman at the front desk. Can’t recall her name, and I don’t know if it’s because of how annoyed I gradually became as I spoke with her, or because it naturally didnt feel important because she wasn’t the one examining my dog. She seems to be extremely unaware of her loud and aggressive condescending behavior towards the owners. Her quiz-like responses suggest she’s annoyed when talking to owners and comes off as a huge red flag. I might’ve given this review a higher score had the possible outcome of my dogs health been more accurate in regards to taking him home despite not getting all the scans and tests recommended. The plan was leaning towards an aggressive treatment, including x-rays, ultrasounds, urine-analysis’, and potentially hospitalized medical care and or surgery. I left that night after only doing the required exam, voluntary blood work, anti-nausea medicine, and subcutaneous fluids. Today, he is exploding with personality, energy, and an appetite like you would never believe... Turns out our little buddy was just severely dehydrated and needed a little boost to get him back on track. I feel disappointed. I expected a lot more from an emergency clinic whose business model surrounds the worst of the worst.

Animal Emergency Center Of The Quad Cities Introduce

Welcome to the introduction of the Animal Emergency Center Of The Quad Cities, a local establishment categorized under 'Pet Hospital', specializing in emergency veterinary services. Located at 2810 State St, Bettendorf, IA 52722, USA, they can be reached by phone at (563) 344-9599 or mobile at +1 563-344-9599. As an emergency-focused Pet Hospital, their primary aim is to provide immediate medical care for pets during critical situations outside of regular veterinary clinic hours. To offer an objective view, we've compiled information from the provided customer reviews.

The reviews present a mixed but overall positive picture of the Animal Emergency Center Of The Quad Cities. One reviewer who visited due to their dog's vomiting and lack of appetite over three days had a positive experience with the veterinarian, Julie, describing her as "extremely easy going and informative" and "very professional." However, this reviewer had a less favorable interaction with a front desk staff member, noting what they perceived as "loud and aggressive condescending behavior" and a sense of annoyance when speaking with pet owners. This highlights a potential area for improvement in customer service at the front desk.

Despite the initial concerns about the front desk interaction, the reviewer also expressed disappointment that the diagnostic workup wasn't more thorough, as their dog ultimately recovered quickly with basic treatment for dehydration. This suggests that while the veterinary care provided by Julie was appreciated, there might be differing expectations regarding the level of intervention in an emergency setting.

In contrast, other reviewers have overwhelmingly positive experiences. One long-term customer praises the emergency animal hospital for consistently being there for their dog "over the years," handling issues from "minor" to "more serious emergencies." They describe the staff as "kind, compassionate, and always quick to respond in times of need." This speaks to the reliability and caring nature of the team during stressful times.

Another deeply touching review recounts the support received when their dog passed away. They highlight the staff's incredible support, grace, and understanding during this difficult process, noting that the hospital "truly went above and beyond" to ensure their well-being. This underscores the compassionate aspect of their care, extending beyond just the animal's medical needs to the emotional needs of the owners.

Furthermore, this same reviewer shares a positive experience with their new puppy, stating that the care and attention provided are "top-notch," giving them confidence that their pet is in good hands with this "exceptional team." This indicates that the hospital's quality of care extends to routine situations as well, even though their primary focus is emergency services.

Based on these reviews, the features of the Animal Emergency Center Of The Quad Cities include having knowledgeable and professional veterinarians like Julie, a generally kind and compassionate staff who are quick to respond in emergencies, and a supportive approach to pet owners, even during difficult times like the loss of a pet. However, the experience with the front desk staff, as mentioned by one reviewer, could be a point of consideration for local users.

As an emergency Pet Hospital, the environment is likely equipped to handle urgent medical situations. This would include facilities for immediate assessment, diagnostics (such as X-rays and potentially ultrasound, as mentioned in one review's treatment plan), and treatment. They would have the capacity for administering medications, providing supportive care like subcutaneous fluids, and potentially performing emergency surgeries. The focus is on rapid response and stabilization of critical cases.

Services offered would primarily revolve around emergency veterinary care. This includes immediate treatment for injuries, sudden illnesses, and acute conditions that cannot wait for a regular veterinary appointment. They would likely offer diagnostic services to quickly assess the nature of the emergency and provide appropriate medical or surgical intervention. While one review mentioned the potential for urine analysis, x-rays, and ultrasounds, the availability of specific advanced diagnostics might vary depending on the immediate needs of the emergency.

Promotional information is not evident in the provided reviews. Emergency animal hospitals typically do not rely on promotions, as their services are needed urgently when a pet is in crisis. Local users should be aware that emergency veterinary care often involves higher costs due to the nature of immediate and often after-hours service.

For local users in the Quad Cities area, the Animal Emergency Center appears to be a reliable option for urgent pet care needs. The positive experiences highlight a caring and responsive team, particularly the veterinary staff. While one reviewer noted a less positive interaction with the front desk, the overall sentiment, especially regarding the care provided to pets in various emergency and even end-of-life situations, is commendable. If your pet experiences a medical emergency outside of regular clinic hours, this center is equipped to provide immediate attention.

To understand the full scope of their emergency services, the types of diagnostic equipment available, and their protocols for handling different emergencies, local users may wish to contact them directly. While they primarily handle emergencies, knowing their capabilities can be crucial for pet owners in the region.

In conclusion, the Animal Emergency Center Of The Quad Cities offers emergency veterinary services with a team that is generally regarded as kind, compassionate, and responsive. While one customer reported a negative experience with a front desk staff member, the overall feedback, particularly concerning the veterinary care and support during critical times, is positive. For emergency pet care in the Bettendorf area, this center is a resource to consider.

I cannot say enough good things about the emergency animal hospital that has taken care of our beloved dog Storm over the years. From minor issues to more serious emergencies, they have always been there for us and our furry family member. The staff is kind, compassionate, and always quick to respond in times of need. When our dog passed away, they were incredibly supportive and helped us navigate through the difficult process with grace and understanding. They truly went above and beyond to make sure we were okay during that heartbreaking time. We miss her so much. Now, we have a new puppy and they have been just as amazing with her. The care and attention they provide is top-notch, and we feel confident knowing that she is in good hands with this exceptional team. I highly recommend this emergency animal hospital to anyone in need of quality care for their beloved pets. They have truly been a blessing to our family and we are so grateful for all they have done for us over the years. Thank you for everything.

I called them last night. 3/27/2025 to see my cat with FIP. I informed the lady that answered the phone that my cats belly was very full of fluid to the point of rupture and needed it drained. It was an emergency! She put me on hold to talk to the doctor. When she returned on the phone she told me that the doctor didn't do that. I was shocked! They refused to see and help my cat that was suffering. Got up early this morning to find that she had passed. Shame on you for turning away an animal in need of emergency care. Unfortunately, they are the only ER place around for our animals. I would NEVER recommend your place to anyone!

This ER office has been a god send for me! A few years ago, my little black male cat had a urinary blockage that was very bad and he was in pain and needed emergency care urgently!! I was so grateful for the staff and doctors, literally anyone who helped my little guy with his recovery! He is now thriving since then! We’ve had to take our other cat to this same ER for some major constipation and they treat us and our pets with so much care! I am forever grateful for them!

The women who work at this center are some of the sweetest people I've ever met. I felt like my baby was in the safest hands possible they were always so transparent on everything going on. She was so nervous and they were so patient with her. I can't thank you guys enough!
