My family and I have been coming to this vet for over 10 years. When I moved out on my own I got a cat and took him here. I called this morning because he has been throwing up all weekend. I was told they can see him in 3 weeks because it’s been longer than 3 years since they’ve seen him and he’s now considered a new patient. He has been young and healthy so I haven’t had a reason to bring him in. As a vet, you should understand that he couldn’t go 3 weeks without being seen if he’s throwing up. I understand that he’s considered a new patient, but if you’ve been seeing our family for 10 plus years you should have a heart and urgency to get him in. I have nothing but good things to say about the actual veterinarians there, but their receptionist staff needs some help with compassion with their long standing visitors. When I told her that he’s vomiting and we can’t wait three weeks her response was “I guess you should call around”. Edited to add: I called another vet close by and as soon as I said he was vomiting, they got him in a few hours later. That’s when you know the vet cares more about the animals than their schedule or anything else.

While direct comprehensive information about the clinic's environment, specific services, and promotional offers is not readily available online, we can infer some aspects based on the general nature of a pet hospital and the limited information provided, including customer reviews.
Typically, a pet hospital like the Animal Clinic of Woodruff would strive to offer a welcoming and comfortable environment for both pets and their owners. This would ideally include a clean and organized reception area, examination rooms where veterinarians can assess and treat animals, and potentially separate areas for different types of animals to minimize stress. Depending on the scope of their services, they might also have surgical suites, radiology facilities, and recovery areas for animals undergoing procedures or treatment.
Pet hospitals generally offer a range of medical services to address the health needs of companion animals. Based on the category "Pet Hospital," the Animal Clinic of Woodruff likely provides services such as:

Features that might distinguish the Animal Clinic of Woodruff could include the experience and qualifications of their veterinarians and support staff, the availability of specialized equipment or services, and their approach to patient care. A dedicated and compassionate team is often a hallmark of a well-regarded pet hospital. However, the provided customer reviews offer a mixed perspective on this aspect.
One review mentions positive experiences with the actual veterinarians over a long period, suggesting a level of expertise and care. However, this review also raises concerns about the compassion and responsiveness of the receptionist staff, particularly in an urgent situation involving a sick pet. The experience described highlights a potential disconnect between the perceived care provided by the veterinarians and the initial point of contact and scheduling practices of the clinic.
Another review expresses significant dissatisfaction with the clinic's pricing, alleging that it is "outrageous" compared to nearby vets and that prices have been increasing over time. The reviewer further claims that this has led to many clients leaving the clinic and advises potential customers to research feedback on social media platforms. These are serious concerns regarding the affordability and transparency of the clinic's services.
Based on the publicly available information, there is no specific promotional information provided for the Animal Clinic of Woodruff. Pet hospitals sometimes offer promotions such as discounts on initial check-ups for new clients, seasonal specials on vaccinations or parasite prevention, or package deals for routine procedures like spaying/neutering. To learn about any current promotions or special offers at the Animal Clinic of Woodruff, it is recommended to contact them directly at (864) 576-9800 or +1 864-576-9800.
Given the conflicting feedback from the customer reviews, local users searching for a "Pet Hospital Near Me" should consider these points alongside the potential services offered by the Animal Clinic of Woodruff. While the veterinarians may be experienced, the concerns raised about appointment scheduling in urgent situations and the perceived high prices are important factors to take into account. It would be prudent for potential clients to contact the clinic directly to inquire about their policies, pricing, and to address any concerns they may have based on the reviews.
In conclusion, the Animal Clinic of Woodruff, located in Woodruff, SC, is a local pet hospital that likely offers a range of veterinary services for pets. While specific details about their environment and current promotions are not available online, customer reviews suggest a potential disparity between the quality of veterinary care provided and the administrative aspects of the clinic, particularly regarding appointment scheduling and pricing. Local users are encouraged to contact the clinic directly to gather more information and make an informed decision about their pet's healthcare needs.

Feb 27, 2025 · Lexie RuddyOutrageous prices compared to other nearby vets. It’s sad to see the prices go up every month that we visit. I pulled out invoices from 6 months ago- now for charges we take on every month. My animals are my children and this place has exploited me and others. Do your research. Type this clinic in the search bar of fb and you will see for yourself. Everyone is leaving due to their selfish practices. Do not recommend.
Jan 28, 2025 · M LThe staff and Dr here are so kind and they truly care about your pets. They even do a follow up call after the first visit to check on your pet after you become a new client. They handled my little one lbs Chihuahua puppy with utmost care and assured me they would be gentle with her when she had her first exam and set of shots. They are wonderful and I would recommend them to anyone who has a pet for genuine, great care. Dr. Troutman is very nice and thorough. Really feel comfortable and confident about my pet being seen here!
Jul 12, 2024 · lovelyj 75We are an older couple who have had many animals and Dr. Crenshaw is one of the best vets we’ve ever worked with. She always explained our options in the care of our grand dog. And you can tell she really loves animals. Thank you for making our final trip to your clinic so caring.
