Animal Clinic of Alsip

Very nice and clean place. The nurses are exceptional and Doctor is so knowledgeable. You can tell everyone loves what they do and how much they care for the animals. Definitely would recommend if your looking for a great animal clinic

From the receptionist to the aids to the doctor were helpful. The doctor even though deaf still was communicating with me and had the aid relay as well. His handling of my dog was fine. I was running late for a follow up and was still seen. my first visit I misunderstood the receptionist and came with no appointment ( allergies shots can be done with out an appointment I forgot to tell her I was a new patient doctor has to seem them first) but they still got me in took great care of my dog and explaining everything to me meds are working great and the prices too was great. Definitely recommend! 🐾🦴

Today was my fur baby's first appointment and we have found our new veterinarian clinic! Amanda is absolutely amazing!!!!! She is so thorough and knowledgeable and extremely gentle with the fur babies. Her customer service is unmatched! Dr. McDavitt is wonderful and you can see the passion he has for his patients. The kind lady at the front desk is also the sweetest! I am so satisfied with the service this clinic provided for my family! Take your fur baby to a team you can trust bring them to Animal Clinic of Alsip!!!!!!!

I’ve been going to Dr. McDavitt for about 12 years now. He is very smart, compassionate, always willing to give you the best of advice for your dog. The way he loves my dog, is amazing always trying to play with her to make it feel lighthearted. He can be busy but he’s amazing at his job. I couldn’t be more grateful to have a doctor like him to treat my pets.

I chose this spot because they had some good reviews and seemed affordable but that was not our experience. We brought our senior dog Piper in for a UTI and the vet apparently was deaf, but no one told us this. It was totally fine, but no one was talking or communicating to us what they were going to do or what was going on and then he just started examining her very roughly. I was cringing the whole time but didn’t feel like I could say something because he wouldn’t be able to hear me, but my dog looked so uncomfortable just staring at me completely terrified. His level of roughness was totally uncalled for and looking back I wish I would’ve just stopped the exam. They then said they would call us within a couple days with the results and gave us some antibiotics to take temporarily but said they might switch to different ones depending on her results. Well a week went by and I called five times with no answer. I left messages with nobody calling me back. When I finally got a hold of the receptionist, she said “ oh you’re probably on our callback list that I was just getting to” but then couldn’t even find our information as I waited on the phone. Once she finally found it, she just told us to keep taking the same antibiotics. A couple weeks after we finish the anabiotic Piper got an insane allergic reaction and has been itching all over her body on her paws and the insides of her legs on her stomach and it’s gotten severe. I will not be bringing her back here.
