This is only the second time I brought my cat here to be groomed, she is long haired and needs to be shaved in certain areas where she gets mats. This time the groomer asked me if I wanted to give her a bath, but failed to tell me it would be $78 just for a bath. She doesn’t need a bath it’s not necessary, she mostly needed to be shaved. So I ended up spending over $100 to get my cat groomed. When I told them I was never informed about the cost they did apologize, but an apology doesn’t take away the $78 charge. They offered me a punch card that every time you spend $100 you get a punch and on your 16th punch you’ll get a $100 credit. So they want a person to spend $1600 to just get $100 back… not a good deal at all. The punch card is useless to me. They did do a good job with her actual shaving, but they are not transparent about the prices. Ask about cost!!!!

Animal Care Clinic Introduce

Introducing Animal Care Clinic, a Pet Hospital located at 1096 Wellington Way #120, Lexington, KY 40513, USA. Operating within the platform category of Pet Hospitals, Animal Care Clinic provides a range of services, including veterinary care and grooming, and likely offers related goods for pet health and maintenance. Local users can contact them at (859) 223-8866 or via mobile at +1 859-223-8866.

Based on the customer reviews, the environment of Animal Care Clinic appears to have both positive and negative aspects in terms of service transparency. One reviewer who brought their long-haired cat for grooming experienced an unexpected $78 charge for a bath that they felt was unnecessary and were not explicitly informed about beforehand. While the clinic apologized for this lack of transparency regarding the cost, the charge remained. This suggests that while the grooming service itself (specifically the shaving) was deemed good, there might be inconsistencies in communicating the full cost of services upfront. On the other hand, another reviewer who brought their cat for an annual visit with Dr. Butch and Lori reported a positive experience, describing them as "extremely friendly, helpful," and thorough in their explanations. This suggests that the environment for veterinary consultations is perceived as caring and informative.

The services offered at Animal Care Clinic include veterinary examinations (as indicated by the annual visit review) and grooming (as indicated by the cat grooming review). The grooming services include shaving for matted long-haired cats and potentially baths. The positive review of the annual visit suggests that they offer routine check-ups, where the staff takes the time to explain things and answer questions. The itemized bill for the annual visit was considered "very appropriate" by the reviewer, contrasting with the lack of price transparency reported in the grooming service. This suggests that the clinic provides a range of pet care services, but experiences regarding cost communication can vary depending on the specific service.

Several features of Animal Care Clinic can be identified from the reviews. The availability of grooming services, including shaving for cats, is one feature. The presence of friendly and helpful staff, such as Dr. Butch and Lori, who take the time to explain things to pet owners, is another positive feature highlighted. However, a potential area for improvement, based on one review, is the transparency of pricing, particularly for add-on services like baths during grooming. The clinic did offer a "punch card" loyalty program as a form of compensation for the unexpected charge, where spending $100 earns a punch, and 16 punches ($1600 spent) would result in a $100 credit. However, the reviewer found this offer unfavorable. The quality of the actual service provided (shaving) was acknowledged as good.

The "punch card" offer mentioned in one review could be considered a form of promotional information, although the customer who received it did not view it as a good deal. It suggests that Animal Care Clinic has a loyalty program in place. However, without further details, it's difficult to assess the overall promotional strategy of the clinic. Potential local users might want to inquire about any current promotions or discounts when contacting the clinic.

For local users in Singapore considering a pet hospital, the experiences at Animal Care Clinic offer some mixed insights. It's important to find a clinic where staff are not only friendly and knowledgeable but also transparent about the costs of all services before they are rendered. Positive aspects to look for include veterinarians who take the time to explain things and answer your questions, making you feel comfortable and informed about your pet's care. If grooming services are needed, it's crucial to confirm all associated costs beforehand to avoid unexpected charges. Loyalty programs can be a bonus, but their value depends on the frequency and amount of spending required to redeem rewards.

When searching for a Pet Hospital in Singapore, you might prioritize clinics that have a reputation for clear communication about pricing, in addition to providing quality medical and grooming services. Reviews from other pet owners in Singapore can be helpful in gauging the transparency and overall satisfaction levels with different clinics. The positive feedback regarding the friendliness and helpfulness of the veterinary staff at Animal Care Clinic is a good indicator, but the negative feedback about unexpected grooming costs highlights the importance of proactive communication from the clinic regarding all charges.

In summary, Animal Care Clinic in Lexington, KY, offers both veterinary and grooming services. While one customer praised the friendly and helpful nature of Dr. Butch and Lori during an annual check-up and found the billing appropriate, another experienced a lack of transparency regarding the cost of a grooming add-on service. The quality of the grooming itself (shaving) was satisfactory. The clinic offered a loyalty punch card, but it was not seen as a valuable offer by the customer. Potential local users should be aware of the importance of asking about the full cost of any service before proceeding to ensure transparency and avoid unexpected charges.

I recently saw Dr. Butch and Lori for my cat’s annual visit. They were extremely friendly, helpful, and explained everything. I didn’t feel rushed and left with all my questions answered. My itemized bill seemed very appropriate. I will definitely be going back and I highly recommend them for your pet’s care. They really care about their furry patients.

Dr. Schroyer is truly a miracle worker. I called the office in a panic, never having taken my bunny there before. She was completely flaccid with a slow heart rate and we had no idea what happened. Not only did they say to come right away, when even the emergency vets did not have anyone that did exotics available, but everyone was so kind and reassuring. Dr. Schroyer gave me realistic expectations, and when she made a complete recovery, we were both incredibly and pleasantly surprised. The techs were wonderful and even sent me pictures of updates. Forever grateful to this clinic!

Everyone at the Animal Care Clinic is so caring and helpful. I've been taking my feline buddy there since he was a kitten and he always gets the most attentive and professional care. No matter how many questions I have, Dr. Matt and his staff are patient and informative. They willingly spend the time it takes to leave me feeling confident that Simon (my cat) is getting the very best care.
