Just moved to Illinois from Arkansas today I took one of my dogs for first visit it was sooo pleasant everyone was very nice and helpful 馃檪. Have 3 more dogs hoping all goes as well as today . Great place !!!!!

Mar 27, 2025 路 Jennifer MorelandI had an issue about 3 years ago. Im just mentioning it now because the cat that I brought there, with complications, has been euthanized, not officially, due to FIP. That is not this clinics fault. But I do feel like I need to say something about my experience here. Every interaction I had with this clinic was just ok, or not great. The first time I took my cat there the male Dr had attitude about my cat having dirty ears.. Okay he cares, cool. But she came from a literal dumpster. Figured they should probably be examined and professionally cleaned since I couldn't see the skin in her ear. Few months go by, my cat had respiratory issues that I brought her in for. After the issue being persistent, the male dr did a nasal cavity exam and didn't find anything but still diagnosed it to most likley be nasal polyps and gave a prescription shot for it three different times. She did get better. Then, during her spay, a petiole retracted resulting in a larger incision being made, that then assisted in the opening of the internal incision. They tried to charge me almost $600 to fix a surgical mishap/mistake. I called other clinics in the area to ask how they would handle it, and the ones I called did say that they wouldn't charge for that. The vet also blamed his secretary for not reading his report properly which is why I was originally being charged that $600. When I asked the lady she said she just puts in the info on the report from the vet. So it got lowered to around $350. My cat was not doing well again and had to bring her in. Haven't paid the other bill yet. The secretary came out with a microsoft office document saying that I need to sign it and put my SS# on it. Which i did none of those things. It just looked like a piece if paper they typed up and printed. While this happening they are done with the exam/visit so they are technically holding my cat until i pay for the previous bill. I told them i'd be paying for this current vist and that I'd work on getting them the other money. But they wanted me to sign that paper and would not give me my cat until I did. I wasn't budging so obviously they gave me my cat. Fast forward a few years and my cat is having issues again and my new vet is almost certain it was FIP. There was good reason to not think it was nasal polyps. Especially after the physical nasal cavity exam. Everything about the situation was pointing to inflammation. We should have done scans to see if there was inflammation, and where the inflammation was at. About 2 years ago I brought her into a quick vet visit in Earville when she wasn't doing well, and the vet said there isn't much they can do unless it starts to get worse, then more advanced surgeons can cut out the polyps. But I wasn't technically a patient so it was just quick visit to make sure she wasn't doing worse then I thought. During this last flare up, I was thinking it's just the same issue as the previous times. I knew my cat wasn't doing well but there isn't anything they can do for nasal polyps except advance surgery. By the time I was able to get my cat to vet it was too late. Inflammation was blocking the view on scans, can't put her under because she's manually breathing, cant take blood without risking complications. Even if I took her earlier there is no prescription cure. The only solution is an experimental drug, but it seems to work if it's used early enough. There is also no test to see if a cat has FIP. But there are symptoms. There's no one to blame for a cat getting this disease. And I can't even say forsure she always did have it. But it was never mentioned. Never even heard of it until I was reading a poster at the vet clinic. I personally feel like I was never respected by this vet, as a patient who cares for their animal should be. I was young. Didn't know much about owning animals. I get going to the vet is expensive. It's okay to say "hey, we really don't know what's wrong and it would be expensive to figure it out. Maybe consider getting it looked at again when you can take on those bills"
