AAH does an amazing job providing veterinary services to a local feline rescue organization called Kitty Angels. I'm just starting to get involved with Kitty Angels as a volunteer, to help them shuttle cats back-and-forth to and from the vet. They take really good care of the cats that are coming in to KA, often times with diseases or injuries, and sometimes near starvation. They nurse them back to health, and turn them over to a Kitty Angels foster parent, complete with records, all of their shots, medications, and instructions for follow up care. My wife and I have adopted at least three of our cats from Kitty Angels, all of which had challenges earlier in their lives which had been overcome with the help of AAH, and of course KA. In addition to the work they do with Kitty Angels, AAH also provides services to pet owners, including exotics. Here are some shots of our kitties who came to Kitty Angels through AAH.

Been bringing my animals here for 24 years. Wonderful compassionate caregivers.

I have lots to say about this place. I first took my bunny here in 2018 when they where the only place open during my emergency. They where fine for the basic GI stasis my rabbit was experiencing. As I continued to go there I noticed the carelessness, low level of education, and questionable behaviour of the staff. I have owned rabbits for 5 years and have been to Amherst half a dozen times within my first couple of years of owning rabbits. Each time I went I was given more misinformed than the last. Makes me believe the staff have very minimal training in exotics. Honestly seems like a google education level to me. They knew minimal things about their diet. Basics like veg, pellets, hay and so on. Just the basics. I have also talked with others that have taken their rabbits here and have about the same things to say about them as I do. I will not be going here again nor do I recommend it to anyone looking for an exotic vet. I cannot say anything about their dog and cat care as I haven’t brought either in.
