Alta Vista Veterinary Hospital

I have taken multiple pets to Alta Vista for the last 15 years. Our current vet, Dr. Jackie Rind is literally THE BEST! She loves animals, and it oozes out of her wonderful, bright personality as she compassionately treats our pets. When we had to put down our extremely senior dog last winter and showed up 3 months later with our newly adopted dog, Dr. Rind screamed with joy and celebrated with me on the floor meeting our new little man. I think vets have a really tough job. They work with little creatures that we human beings are undeniably crazy about, and when they get sick and we can't communicate with us, it is heart breaking. Dr. Rind always communicates clearly, listens thoughtfully, and I always feel cared about. Super duper recommend!!!!

I’ve been going to Alta Vista for years for multiple pets. This morning I was a walk in with my beloved 15 1/2 year-old rescue pit bull mix named Amma for end-of-life care. The team at Alta Vista was so attentive, loving and supportive even bringing an extra blanket for Amma to snuggle in. Thank you for supporting Amma and myself through a difficult experience.

I took my cat Cowboy here for an emergency surgery and had a great experience. The staff was so helpful during such an intense and stressful day. They have very reasonable pricing and payment options. My baby was very well taken care of, and we will definitely be continuing to come here for future services for both my kitties!

my sister recommended alta vista to me when i couldn't find anywhere to take my cat on a saturday. I had had a horrible experience there years ago, but she had gone there for years and said it was great. Worst experience i have ever had at a veterinarian office. The staff out front was good, the tech was ok but the vet was cold as ice. Dr. Reynolds kept disappearing and i would have to talk to the technician who couldn't and shouldn't be answering my questions. He would go get her. the waits were forever in between her "visits" to us. She delivered bad news to me in a very cold hearted way and when she knew i wasn't going to spend all kinds of money on things that would do no good I felt like she just wrote us off...I had spent over $400. That isn't enough to be treated like a Pet Parent?? I would l suggest looking elsewhere as this is the place of which my nightmares from years ago came from. If you want caring and compassionate care STAY AWAY FROM HERE.

A friend recommended this practice, for my dog Monster, so so so many years ago because they offered same day appointments. Saw a few different vets. She was part jack russell and wasn’t the easiest patient, keep in mind. During Covid, I set an appointment for an exam to get my dog’s teeth cleaned. They ended up finding a heart murmur and breaking the news to me while I was sitting in my car. I took the news badly and got rude after getting blindsided. I’m sorry for that. It’s probably one of the harder things they have to do. The vet stayed super professional and still provided a treatment solution to help extend her life. They pivoted treatment from her teeth (saving me $1000) to heart meds and gave me more time with my furry best friend. 🙏 For that I’ll forever be grateful.
