I brought my 14-year-old retired sled dog Precious to Julia the last couple months. I was immediately comforted by the fact that Julia has carpet throughout her office - Precious, as an older dog, struggles on hardwood or laminate flooring. Precious is normally very wary and nervous at the vet (I normally have to give her sedatives), but Julia was so patient and clearly understands dog behavior exceptionally well and knew how much to push Precious right away. Precious typically hates the vet, but has absolutely no problem coming to Julia's office. I don't give her any sedatives to visit Julia's office. I was seeking guidance and advice on how to best prolong Precious' comfort and movement, because I noticed a sharp decline recently. Through some advice from Julia, including supplements, exercises, manual therapy, and advice on how to determine how much exercise is good for her, we were able to see SIGNIFICANT improvement. In the last couple of weeks, Precious has become a new dog, or, rather, she is back to her old self. She is perkier, more social, sassier, and I saw her run on the beach like I haven't seen her run in a couple years. She just seems happier and I can tell she is feeling good again. I'm so thankful for Julia's advice, guidance, and the manual therapy she does! Precious is very thankful for the delicious pork smoothies that Julia always has available :) I would absolutely recommend Julia for assistance for physical therapy for your beloved dog.

Introducing All Pets Health and Rehab, LLC, a unique "Pet Hospital" located at 1324 Main St, Philomath, OR 97370, USA. You can reach them at (541) 602-1893 or their mobile number +1 541-602-1893. Based on the enthusiastic reviews from pet owners, All Pets Health and Rehab, led by Julia (referred to as Dr. Julia by one reviewer), offers specialized care focusing on rehabilitation, physical therapy, and improving the comfort and mobility of animals, particularly senior pets and those recovering from injuries.
One reviewer brought their 14-year-old retired sled dog, Precious, to Julia and was immediately reassured by the clinic's environment, noting that the carpeted flooring was beneficial for Precious, who struggles on hard surfaces. This detail suggests a thoughtful consideration of the comfort of older or mobility-challenged pets. The reviewer also highlighted Julia's exceptional understanding of dog behavior and her patient approach, which allowed Precious, typically nervous at the vet and requiring sedation elsewhere, to be comfortable and cooperative without any sedatives. Seeking advice on prolonging Precious' comfort and movement, the reviewer reported significant improvement through Julia's guidance, including supplements, exercises, manual therapy, and tailored exercise advice. The result was a revitalized Precious, who became perkier, more social, sassier, and even ran on the beach after a long time, indicating a substantial enhancement in her quality of life. The reviewer expressed immense gratitude for Julia's expertise and the availability of "delicious pork smoothies" for Precious, highly recommending her for pet physical therapy.
Another pet owner contacted Dr. Julia when their 4-year-old Australian Shepherd-Border Collie mix, Skye, injured her hip. Dissatisfied with their regular vet's prescription of pain and anti-inflammatory medication that made Skye sick and listless, they sought Julia's expertise. Dr. Julia provided an in-home consultation lasting almost two hours, focusing on getting to know Skye, asking detailed questions, and treating her with gentle manual therapy, particularly on her hip and back. Remarkably, Skye showed trust in Julia despite being in pain, and by the next day, she was back to her normal activity level. The reviewer credited Julia with preventing a potential permanent injury and expressed profound gratitude for her genuine care and concern, noting her holistic approach and sensitivity to Skye's feelings during treatment. As Skye is a highly active dog, they now visit Julia's office for "maintenance treatment" to aid in relaxation and recovery from strenuous exercise, likening Julia to a massage therapist or chiropractor for their athletic dog. They concluded with a strong endorsement, stating, "We love her!"

Dec 20, 2024 · Brianna BowmanI called Dr. Moore (we now call her Dr. Julia) when my 4 yr old Australian Shepard-border collie mix hurt her hip from jumping too high and was limping and in pain. I was terribly distraught because our regular vet could only prescribe pain and anti-inflammatory meds. All that did was make her sick to her stomach and very listless. Dr. Julia came to our house and spent almost 2 hours getting know to know Skye, asking me lots of detailed questions, and treating her with loving care. She gently massaged Skye, especially in her hip and back areas. Skye was very trusting of her to let her touch her where she was feeling pain and by the next day she was running and jumping like nothing ever happened! I know she saved her from having a permanent injury and Skye and I are completely grateful. The genuine care and concern that she gave us seems embedded in Dr Julia's manner of treatment. She addressed Skye's ailment as a whole body issue and was very intent on respectfully sensing Skye's feelings during the treatment session. Skye is a highly active dog. She requires and gets daily ball runs and long walks so we have gone twice to her office for some maintenance treatment. (Not for the initial injury, which has never come back) It seems to help her stay relaxed and to more easily recover from her strenuous exercise. I think of it like Skye is an athlete and Julia is her massage therapist/ chiropractor. We love her!
Apr 18, 2017 · Terri KellyDr. Julia has treated EVERY dog in our family providing excellent rehab care in addition to pain management. our 14 year old pitbull is enjoying her old lady life with less pain and healthy skin. Our 5 year old rescued pitbull from California falls asleep at each massage and has gained better motion in his joints! Her expertise surpasses any Veterinarian I have ever worked with. She also cared for all of our labs (yellow, chocolate and black!). Our black lab suffered a lower body paralysis and with Dr. Julia's care we were able to rehab our black lab back to full recovery. Not only has she provided specialized care to our dogs, but also she has been there for each of our family members (DOG AND HUMAN!). She communicated each step of the way! THANK YOU for always making us and our dogs enjoy life!
May 24, 2017 · Dr. Sharon ElefantDr. Moore is a healer. She has treated 3 of my Staffordshire Terriers over the years. They all had torn or partially torn their cranial cruciate ligament, and one tore both of hers. The first one who tore hers was urged to have the CCL surgery "right away" by her routine veterinarian and I didn't feel comfortable with that. The surgery is invasive, and I didn't feel she would be a good candidate for surgery. I found Dr. Julia, and I'm glad I did! All 3 dogs have lived normal, happy lives, and after a few treatments, their limping stopped. I'm so grateful to Dr. Julia, and happy to know there are other options besides surgery.
Nov 06, 2023 · Jennifer ArendsDr. Julia Moore has worked with all 3 of my dogs - 2 for hip dysplasia issues and 1 just for general maintenance as she ages, since our experiences with the other dogs were so successful. In all cases, I saw clear changes in my dogs' behavior that indicated improved well-being and comfort in their bodies. Across all three temperaments and ages, Dr. Moore was able to put my dogs at ease for the treatments and earn their trust. We are so grateful to have Dr. Moore as a resource for our pups!
