The staff here is extremely compassionate and attentive. I brought a dog I was pet-sitting for here when he had a seizure, and the staff immediately took him to the back and hooked him up to an IV. They were very good at explaining everything to me and keeping me updated on how he was doing. When I picked him up the next morning, they thoroughly explained how to care for him at home, etc. It was so refreshing being in a place where the staff is so kind and understanding.

We experienced the most peaceful passing last night. I went with my sister and niece for support with their 19 year old kitty Helmet. This was my second time having to go through this experience here. They handled everything so beautifully and calmly which was very important to us as it was my niece’s first loss and major heartbreak in life. Unfortunately with my dog Moose things escalated very quickly we never made it to their special room, but we were in there last night and it honestly couldn’t have gone any better given the circumstances. I wish we could have made it there with Moose and I wish everyone could experience such a peaceful passing like this. Thank you so much to the staff for your care and kindness. I know it’s not an easy job but it means more than you know 🤍

I took my golden retriever puppy here Friday because she had massive swelling in her face and neck. They told me they would likely have to give her a steroid injection and keep her for at least an hour to make sure the swelling goes down. They sat me in a room for over 2.5 hours and not a single person came in to fill me in as to what was going on. I asked the front desk for an update 3 hours later… they were rude and went to check. Well the Vet finally came in and said she wanted to run some tests cause it might be xyz. Said it would take close to an hour. Two more hours later she finally came back with a diagnosis. They didn’t do anything for her besides run a couple tests the 5 hours we were there!!! They wanted to charge me almost $300 for medication (antibiotics and steroids) which I was able to get at my primary vet and other a couple other things too for less than $60. $500 later and they still sent my baby home swollen and in pain!!! I will NEVER take my babies here again.

I can’t thank the staff and especially Dr. Dan enough for saving my cat. He developed liver disease when he stopped eating while we were on vacation. After my first visit with them when he was horribly jaundice, the vet thought he was terminal and sent me home with food for palliative care. When he seemed to be going downhill, I brought him back to be euthanized and saw Dr. Dan who asked me some questions and was happy to look at his chart. We ended up doing more bloodwork and he thought we should treat. My kitty was sent home a few hours later with a feeding tube in place and five different medications. Within a few days he was starting to perk up and within a few weeks, he had gained over two pounds and was back to his normal self! The feeding tube started coming out on its own so I took him back and they got it out quickly. I didn’t even have to wait for a room on a busy Saturday afternoon. I literally feel like they brought my cat back from the dead and can’t thank them enough! ❤️ (video is from after his last visit when he was thrilled to be free of the feeding tube and his cone!)

This place absolutely deserves five stars. They have saved two of my dogs lives three years apart. Both times my pets needed immediate care and they really know how to triage the animals coming in based on what they need. They are affordable and so kind. While your pet is in their care you can call whenever you want and they are more than happy to tell you how your pet is doing and what kind of care they’ve received since the last time you called. No other emergency vet anywhere close to Macomb County can compare to them. I hope I never have to see them again but if I do, I know my pet will be in the best hands. You guys are so appreciated and an office like this is hard to find.
