We have taken our dogs to the 15th Street vet since the 80's. They have always taken great care of our dogs and continue to do so. I've only had to use one other vet in Tulsa since 2017 because of a very unique situation. Once my dog gets into the building, he absolutely loves it and all of the people who work on him.

Welcome to 15th Street Veterinary Group

For pet owners in Tulsa, Oklahoma, finding a reliable and compassionate veterinary care provider is paramount to ensuring the well-being of their beloved companions. The 15th Street Veterinary Group, located at 6231 E 15th St, Tulsa, OK 74112, USA, stands out as a well-established and highly-regarded "Pet Hospital" that has been serving the local community for decades. With a commitment to exceptional animal care, a dedicated team, and a history of positive client experiences, 15th Street Veterinary Group offers a comprehensive range of services designed to meet the diverse needs of pets and their owners.

Operating under the "Pet Hospital" category, 15th Street Veterinary Group provides an extensive suite of veterinary services, much like a human hospital caters to people, but with a specialized focus on animal health. This means they are equipped to handle everything from routine check-ups and preventative care to complex medical procedures and emergency situations. The philosophy behind a "Pet Hospital" is to offer a holistic approach to pet health, encompassing diagnostics, treatment, and ongoing wellness management, all under one roof.

When considering the environment of 15th Street Veterinary Group, one can infer from customer reviews that it is a welcoming and calming space designed to minimize stress for both pets and their owners. While specific details about the decor or waiting areas are not explicitly provided, the fact that a dog "absolutely loves it and all of the people who work on him" upon entering the building suggests a positive and comfortable atmosphere. This indicates that the clinic likely prioritizes a clean, safe, and friendly environment where pets feel at ease, potentially incorporating elements like comfortable seating, soothing colors, and perhaps even separate waiting areas for different animal types to reduce anxiety. A well-maintained facility is crucial for a pet hospital, ensuring a sterile environment for procedures and a pleasant experience for all visitors.

The services offered at 15th Street Veterinary Group are comprehensive, covering the full spectrum of modern veterinary medicine. As a "Pet Hospital," they would typically provide:

  • Preventative Care: This includes routine wellness exams, vaccinations tailored to the pet's lifestyle and risk factors, parasite prevention (fleas, ticks, heartworm), and nutritional counseling. Regular preventative care is fundamental to early detection and management of potential health issues, contributing significantly to a pet's longevity and quality of life.
  • Diagnostic Services: Equipped with advanced diagnostic tools, they would offer in-house laboratory testing (blood work, urinalysis, fecal exams), digital radiography (X-rays), and potentially ultrasound to accurately diagnose a wide range of conditions. Prompt and accurate diagnosis is critical for effective treatment.
  • Surgical Procedures: From routine spaying and neutering to more complex soft tissue surgeries and orthopedic procedures, a full-service "Pet Hospital" like 15th Street Veterinary Group would have a sterile surgical suite and experienced veterinary surgeons. They would also provide pre-operative assessments and post-operative care.
  • Dental Care: Pet dental health is often overlooked but is crucial for overall well-being. Services would include professional dental cleanings, extractions, and management of periodontal disease.
  • Internal Medicine: Diagnosis and treatment of various internal conditions affecting organs such as the heart, kidneys, liver, and digestive system.
  • Emergency and Urgent Care: While not explicitly stated as a 24/7 emergency center, a "Pet Hospital" typically handles urgent medical situations during business hours. For after-hours emergencies, they would likely provide referrals to specialized emergency clinics.
  • Pain Management: Offering various strategies to manage acute and chronic pain in pets, improving their comfort and mobility.
  • Microchipping: A vital service for pet identification and recovery if a pet ever gets lost.
  • Pharmacy: Dispensing necessary medications, ensuring convenience for pet owners.

This compassionate approach fosters a positive experience for both pets and owners, creating a comforting and supportive atmosphere during what can often be stressful times. The fact that prices are described as "great" suggests that they offer competitive and affordable rates without compromising on the quality of care, making excellent veterinary services accessible to a wider range of pet owners. The positive interaction between the staff and animals, as evidenced by a dog's fondness for the people working on him, is a testament to the gentle and professional handling practices employed by the veterinary team.

Regarding promotional information, while specific current promotions are not detailed, the existing customer reviews serve as powerful testimonials. I absolutely LOVE this vet! I’ve gone here for awhile now and they have always been super helpful and caring towards my pets. The prices are great and you can tell that everyone in there actually cares about each animal that comes through their door. Would highly recommend this vet if you’re looking for a new one!

Just left there.. put in a room at 12 oclock with my sick dog there was only one person in the waiting room and she was waiting on prescription.. they put me in a room with my sickly dog and forgot about us.. im not the type to open the door an ask how much longer.. if I walked into your establishment for help and was forgotten about that is entirely on them.. I left at 1 still not being seen and at this point no one was in the lobby when I walked out other then elderly gentleman receptionist and younger female.. all she could say is you haven’t been seen yet I’m so sorry.. to make matters worse in the room we could here employees cracking up laughing over whatever but couldn’t do there job of taking care of my dog.. all the receptionist wanted to do is apologize.. at some point apologies aren’t enough.. it’s not my job to make them remember that we’re waiting to be seen in a room.. while overhearing the laughter of employees not doing anything. My dog may not matter to any of them but she’s my baby and she deserved so much better. Never once did she deserve this type of disrespect.. I was bringing her in here because I thought smaller place they seem to care more but it an it it at all.. stick you in a room and forget about you. I even heard her say room 3 but others wanna forget about it.. it’s unfortunate and sorry just isn’t enough when it comes to waiting patiently to never be seen.. Should’ve done better..

Our cat Marie Antoinette displayed symptoms of illness so we took her in for an examination, tests, and received antibiotics. The Vet and Veterinary Technicians were so kind and explained everything thoroughly. We highly recommend 15th Street Veterinary Group.
