This dog park has a nice large fenced in area, it is clean with tree's and a tent for shade and rain protection. The water bowls are self filling and are always full and fresh. There is also a trail that connects to other parks at the right side of the entrance but dogs have to be in the leash for the trail. I highly recommend this dog park.

The Villa Chanticleer Dog Park excels in providing a range of services aimed at making the off-leash experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible for both dogs and their owners.
- Large Fenced Off-Leash Area: The park spans approximately 1.5 acres and is fully fenced, offering a secure and expansive space where dogs can run, play, and interact freely without the constraint of a leash.
- Water Stations: A critical service, as highlighted by numerous reviews, is the presence of self-filling water bowls and larger troughs. This ensures that fresh, clean water is always available for thirsty pups, promoting hydration and well-being.
- Shade and Shelter: The park provides natural shade from mature trees and also features a covered shelter or tent, offering protection from both sun and rain. This is a vital amenity for comfort during various weather conditions.
- Waste Management Facilities: Pet waste stations, including spades and trash cans, are provided to encourage and facilitate responsible clean-up, contributing to the park's overall cleanliness.
- Connected Trail System: Although dogs must be leashed on the trail, a convenient trail connects the dog park to other nearby parks, offering an opportunity for extended walks and exploration beyond the off-leash area.
The Villa Chanticleer Dog Park is celebrated for several standout features that enhance its appeal to the Healdsburg dog community.
- Expansive and Clean Space: Visitors consistently praise the park for its "nice large fenced in area" that is "clean" and "very large." This ample room allows for dynamic play and reduces overcrowding.

As a public park, the Villa Chanticleer Dog Park does not typically run commercial promotions or special offers in the traditional retail sense. Its inherent "special offer" is its free access and the high quality of its amenities for all members of the Healdsburg community and beyond. The park is managed by the City of Healdsburg Parks and Recreation Department, sometimes in partnership with groups like the Healdsburg Dog Park Committee, which may accept donations to help with maintenance and improvements. While not a promotion, contributing to these efforts helps ensure the park remains a fantastic resource.

Jan 20, 2020 · Ralph HershbergerMy dog Artemis loves it here. It is mostly for large dogs but my 17lbs 5.5 month old puppy is always accepted into their pack! It is very large and just had brand new mulch put in. There's a covered shelter, benches, mature trees, chairs, auto refilling water bucks and larger trough for the dogs to play in. It has many regulars with lovely dogs. But always be alert since sometimes out of Towners bring dogs there that aren't well acclimated to dog park life.
Oct 25, 2018 · Courtney schockFantastic dog park in Healdsburg! It’s big and on a bit of a hill. There’s a few different seating areas that are spread out (including some in the shade). There were a few large dogs when we arrived. They were all well behaved and pretty much doing their own thing.
Jun 08, 2021 · Michelle PiwowarskiI’m not a huge fan of dog parks but thought I would give this place a try. We moved to Healdsburg from SF and our dog has always been very friendly and mingles off leash at the beach for miles with other dogs but he absolutely hates this dog park. I’ve been a couple times and most of the dogs are regulars and immediately surrounded my dog which he didn’t like so he got aggressive. I leashed him and left. There are better trails and parks to spend time at. It is a nice park but it wasn’t for us.
Sep 06, 2024 · Tami FultonExcellent dog park. Everyone keeps it clean. Plenty of room for the doggies to run. Fencing is good. Fresh water available too. All around great park. Hiking trail next to the park also.
