This is an amazing dog park! We were visiting Sequim and was very excited to discover they had a dog park. Its a large park, with two seperate parks for small and large dogs. We were in the large dog park. They had two nice covering from the sun and the rain. It has trees for shade and a good water place for the dogs. They also had large red ball that stays at the park. Our dog loved the ball and didn't want to play with anything or anyone else. We would defi nitly be back!

For dog owners across Washington, finding a dedicated, well-equipped, and inviting space for their canine companions to run free and socialize is a top priority. In the charming and often sunny city of Sequim, the Sequim Dog Park truly stands out as an exceptional resource. Nestled within the expansive Carrie Blake Park, this off-leash facility provides a vital and beloved haven where dogs can exercise, play, and interact with other pups in a safe and stimulating environment.

The Sequim Dog Park has earned a stellar reputation among locals and visitors alike for its thoughtful design and excellent amenities. It's much more than just a fenced-in area; it’s a vibrant community hub where dogs of all sizes can enjoy dedicated spaces tailored to their needs. Visitors consistently praise its large size, the presence of separate areas for small and large dogs, and the thoughtful provisions like shade covers and readily available water. The park owes much of its quality and ongoing improvements to the efforts of the Sequim Dog Park Pals, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that works in conjunction with the City of Sequim. This partnership ensures that benches, fences, shelters, and other amenities are continually improved through donations, while the city provides essential maintenance like mowing and weeding. This collaborative spirit results in one of the most highly-rated dog parks in the United States, offering a consistently clean, friendly, and engaging experience for both dogs and their human companions.

Sequim Dog Park is exceptionally well-equipped, offering a comprehensive range of services and features designed to ensure a safe, clean, and enjoyable experience for all its visitors, both canine and human.

Services Offered:

  • Separate Small Dog Park: A dedicated, securely fenced area is available specifically for small dogs, ensuring their safety and comfort away from larger, more energetic play. This separation is highly appreciated by owners of smaller breeds.
  • Waste Management: Poop bags and trash bins are readily provided throughout the park, making it convenient for owners to clean up after their pets and promoting a consistently clean environment.
  • Year-Round Drinking Water: A crucial amenity, the park offers a good water place for dogs with year-round drinking water, ensuring pups stay hydrated during their playtime. Bowls are also often available.
  • Agility Course: The park includes an agility course, offering an additional stimulating activity for dogs to engage in, promoting both physical and mental exercise.

As a public facility primarily supported by the City of Sequim and the nonprofit Sequim Dog Park Pals, the Sequim Dog Park does not typically offer commercial promotions or special discounts in the traditional sense. Its greatest "promotion" is the free and open access it provides to a top-tier off-leash environment.

However, the Sequim Dog Park Pals organization frequently engages in fundraising and community events to support the park's ongoing maintenance and improvements. These events, while not "promotions" for users, demonstrate the strong community backing that keeps the park in excellent condition. For example, they may organize work parties to freshen up the park or fundraising drives for new amenities.

Local dog-related businesses, such as pet stores, groomers, or veterinary clinics in Sequim, might occasionally offer their own promotions that indirectly benefit park users, such as discounts on pet supplies or training classes. Dog owners are encouraged to keep an eye on the Sequim Dog Park Pals website or social media, as well as the City of Sequim's official website, for any announcements regarding events, volunteer opportunities, or fundraising initiatives that support this wonderful park. Participating in these efforts is a great way to give back to the community that provides such a valuable resource.

Sequim Dog Park is exceptionally well-suited for locals in the Washington region, particularly for residents of Sequim and surrounding communities on the Olympic Peninsula. Its long-standing reputation and thoughtfully designed features make it an indispensable asset for dog owners.

One of the most compelling reasons for its suitability is the park's dual-area setup. The presence of both a large dog park and a separate, secure area for small dogs is a significant advantage. This ensures that dogs of all sizes and temperaments can play safely and comfortably, minimizing potential stress or conflict. Owners of small or shy dogs can have peace of mind knowing their pets are in an environment tailored to their needs, while larger, more energetic dogs have ample space to romp and burn off steam.

Furthermore, the park's commitment to essential amenities greatly enhances the local experience. The consistent provision of poop bags and trash bins supports responsible pet ownership, helping maintain the park's excellent cleanliness. The year-round access to fresh, clean drinking water is a critical health benefit for dogs, ensuring they stay hydrated during active play, regardless of the season. The added features like shade covers, trees, benches, and even an agility course make the park not just a functional space, but a genuinely enjoyable and stimulating environment for both dogs and their human companions.

The strong community involvement, exemplified by the Sequim Dog Park Pals, is another reason why this park thrives for locals. This collaborative effort ensures continuous improvements and a sustained high quality, reflecting the shared pride and commitment of the Sequim community towards its canine residents. The overall atmosphere of responsible and friendly dog owners creates a welcoming environment, fostering social connections among pet parents. For Sequim locals, this dog park is more than just a place to let their dogs run; it’s a valued community hub that significantly contributes to the health, happiness, and social well-being of their beloved four-legged family members.

The grass is green there's always water and poop bags. Owners always clean up after themselves and I like how there are actually small dogs here as well as big dogs. Separated areas of course. Beautiful dog park.

Great place to take your canine! Grounds are well kept, covered seating for inclement weather, watering station, obstacle course for training. 3 areas fenced- small dog area and a large dog area. Large dog area has two sections for alternating grounds so as not to overuse the grassy areas. My dogs love this place! They lose their minds when I turn into the driveway of the park, so excited to see & play with the other dogs. I live 30 minutes away and take my dogs to this park, it's the best city dog park on the Olympic peninsula!

A bunch of liars will try and tell you that a woman died because of a dog with a leash on it. It's a lie. Requiring dogs to be off leash at a off leash dog park is ridiculous. especially when people bring their aggressive dogs they don't secure. Mandatory off leash dog parks aren't a thing, no matter how hard you try. Losers.
