Services Offered

While Paws & Play Dog Park is primarily an off-leash recreational area, it offers several key services and amenities that enhance the experience for both dogs and their owners.

  • Separate Areas for Large and Small Dogs: This is a highly valued feature, ensuring that smaller, more timid dogs can play safely without being overwhelmed by larger, more boisterous canines. Each side provides ample space for running and exploring.

  • Waste Bag Stations: To promote cleanliness and responsible pet ownership, the park provides readily available waste bag dispensers. This helps maintain a tidy environment for everyone.

  • Double-Gated Entry System: For enhanced safety, the park features a double-gated entry. This design minimizes the chance of dogs accidentally slipping out of the park during entry or exit, offering peace of mind to owners.

  • Free Entry: Paws & Play Dog Park is completely free to use, making it an accessible and budget-friendly option for all Massachusetts dog owners.

  • Off-Leash Play: The core service is, of course, the ability for dogs to play and run off-leash within a secure, fenced environment. This freedom is essential for a dog's physical and mental well-being.

  • Benches and Seating: While not always clearly defined, there are often benches and seating areas available for owners to relax while their dogs play. These spots offer a chance to connect with other local dog enthusiasts.

Features / Highlights

Paws & Play Dog Park boasts several features that make it a standout choice for Massachusetts dog owners, contributing to its positive reputation.

  • Clean and Well-Maintained: Visitors consistently praise the park's cleanliness. The commitment to keeping the space tidy makes for a more enjoyable and sanitary experience for all users.

  • Gravel/Stone Surface: While some might initially be surprised by the gravel or stone surface in parts of the park, it's a deliberate choice that significantly reduces mud, especially after rain. This means fewer muddy paws to clean and a more pleasant visit, even on damp days.

  • Friendly Community: The park attracts a welcoming community of dog owners. Many visitors report meeting incredibly friendly people and pups, fostering a positive and social atmosphere.

  • Plenty of Space: Both the large and small dog areas offer ample room for dogs to run, chase, and explore. This generous space prevents overcrowding and allows for varied play. The park spans about an acre.

  • Grassy Areas (Unfenced): Beyond the main fenced areas, there's also a non-enclosed grassy area in the back of Webner Park that some visitors enjoy for a leashed cool-down walk or additional play, though it's important to remember this section is not fenced.

  • Shade Shelter: The park features a shade shelter, providing a reprieve from the sun for both dogs and their human companions on warmer days.

  • Water Fountain: While specifics can vary, some sources indicate a two-level water fountain, a convenient amenity for keeping thirsty pups hydrated during playtime.

This is a nice little park in a great area of Revere. There is plenty of space in both smaller and bigger dogs areas. I originally didn't love that the ground was gravel?/stone?/rocks? but after reading some reviews, it makes sense due to the mud. There is non enclosed area in the back with grass, but it isn't fenced. I have met lovely people here who have been incredibly friendly to me and my pup. There can be some folks who are not always cleaning up after their dogs, but that happens everywhere, unfortunately.

It’s a good start. I’m grateful to have a public dog park, for sure. But there really needs to be more shade/shelter. A designated parking area would also be nice.

Dogs had fun. Seemed fairly clean..the small dog area had a lot of poop. It's just not great with irresponsible dog owners. Love dogs, people eh. Decent spot to let your dog sniff and do their thing.

I brought my Akita there when she was almost a year old, and I was really hoping that it was going to be a fun time for her. Another woman was coming into the area for the large dogs with her beagle, someone had told me her dog was aggressive so I asked her to please wait for me to put mine on her lead instead she let her dog into the area and it attacked my Akita grabbing her by the throat and the lady wouldn't stop her dog. I don't think you should be allowed to have your dog in the park if they are aggressive or if you can't control them, since then I will only take my dogs there when the park is empty. And I agree with the other person they have so many poop bags for FREE and trash barrels is it that hard to pick up after your dog goes, I can hardly move my leg half the time but I still pick up after my dogs. Hopefully they can make something work.
