The North City dog park is the most puzzling park in San Marcos. It is a dirt lot with overgrown weeds and billboards in it. I’m assuming the city doesn’t maintain the dirt lot. What is really weird is that the North City has immaculate landscaping but the Dog Park is overgrown and sad. When those 800 residents move in, something tells me they aren’t going to be too excited about their dog park. Also for context this “park” or dirt lot has been here for years.

Feb 13, 2022 · AlexSuper close to Kaiser and the DMV great place to wait for the wife while she does her stuff. Not much as a park. Just an empty patch of dirt. But location location location.

Feb 23, 2025 · vtarangeNo benches, no water for dogs, no grass, and no shade areas. It's loose dirt and wood chips mixed in it... on a plot of land with a short chain linked fence around it. My dog was shaking when we stepped inside. She didn't want to play.
