Wonderful dog park! 4 separate fenced areas based on size, wooded sections, large open areas, and benches for when you need a break. There are water pumps but they are actual old fashioned pumps so if it's really hot and you're not super strong, bring water. Quieter during the day on weekdays so we're able to bring our Chihuahua into the big dog park with our larger Black Mouth Cur mix. Afternoons, evenings and weekends are busier so if you have a social dog, those are great times to play with others. Lights only at entrances so glow collars are helpful if you will be there close to dusk or dawn. Grounds are very well maintained year round. Our dogs love it!

Promotions or Special Offers

As a county-managed facility, Jefferson County Dog Park operates on a permit system rather than traditional commercial "promotions" or "special offers." However, the pricing structure and accessibility options provide clear value propositions for both local residents and visitors.

  • Annual Permits for Value: For frequent users, purchasing an annual permit offers the best value.
    • Jefferson County Residents (dogs licensed in Jefferson County): $25 for the first dog, $15 for each additional dog.
    • Non-Residents (dogs not licensed in Jefferson County): $30 for the first dog, $20 for each additional dog.
    • Seniors (65 and older) and/or Persons with Disabilities: A discounted rate of $15 per dog for both residents and non-residents.
These tiered pricing options ensure affordability for regular use, especially for multi-dog households or those eligible for discounts. Annual tags are typically available starting December 1 for the following year.
  • Convenient Daily Permits: For those visiting less frequently, or specifically for travelers on a road trip, a daily permit costs $5.00 per dog. These can be obtained easily

at the Park or Now Available Online

via a self-registration form. This flexibility makes the park accessible for casual visits without committing to an annual pass.
  • Required Municipal Dog License: It's important to note that a valid municipal dog license from the municipality in which the dog lives is required to purchase an annual permit. This ensures responsible pet ownership within the community.
  • "Great Place to Stop During a Road Trip": As highlighted by a customer, the availability of a daily rate makes it an attractive and easy stop for dog owners traveling through Wisconsin. This serves as a significant "offer" of convenience and quality during journeys.

This was a great place to stop with our dog during a road trip. You can pay a daily rate if you are not from the local area and utilize the park. The park was clean and well groomed. There is water available for your dog if you are willing to pump it out of a well. Mosquitos are pretty thick in the wooded trail areas but nothing a little bit of bug spray and brisk walking can’t handle.

Staff is friendly. Dog park is huge and well maintained. No leash is required whilst walking in enclosed dog areas. An annual fee is required. Small price when considering the gorgeous park your four-legged family member is able to enjoy!

The large dog enclosure is acres of fun for your large dog. In the spring it can be rather wet so be prepared if your dog loves to splash in the mud like our big boy. The water well pump serves up easy and refreshing water. There’s a double gate entry and separation from the small dog enclosure…something for everyone.

This is a great dog park. Plenty of room for big dogs to run and play. There is water and water bowls for the pups. There is also a small dog area. Park is clean and mowed, there is some tall grass, that our dogs loved running through. We’re from out of state, so we paid $5 a day to use the park, which is ok I think. If I lived in the area, you pay I believe $25 for the year and $15 for each additional dog. It’s totally worth it especially if you have big dogs. We took our German shepherd/wolf on vacation and he loved it!
