Addressing such issues would undoubtedly elevate the overall experience for large dog owners.

As a public park managed by the City of El Mirage, Gateway Dog Park does not typically run commercial promotions or special offers in the traditional sense. The park's availability during extended hours (6:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily) also acts as an ongoing benefit, allowing for flexibility in visiting times to suit various schedules. Occasionally, the City of El Mirage Parks and Recreation Department or local animal welfare organizations may host community events, pet adoption drives, or educational workshops within the broader Gateway Park complex. While these are not direct promotions from the dog park itself, they contribute to the vibrant community atmosphere and offer added value to visitors. To stay informed about any such intermittent community events, it is advisable to check the official City of El Mirage website or local community calendars. The inherent value of Gateway Dog Park lies in its consistent provision of a free, well-equipped, and welcoming space for canine recreation and owner interaction.

The big dog side really needs some attention relating to the horrible muddy areas!!! It's obviously a sprinkler problem. It's very frustrating because the dogs all go in the mud and I have to give them a bath everytime I go. It's been This way for a couple years!

Nice enclosed dog park with a separate large and small dog area. Water, shade, benches and a picnic table. Plenty of parking! Well tended and clean.

DO NOT go to this dog park if you own a pitbull. My wife and I tried coming here tonight for the first time with our two dogs, one of them being a pit, and we were IMMEDIATELY yelled at by three people inside the dog park. We didn’t even make it inside the gate. We couldn’t even get inside the gate due to one of the patrons physically blocking it while telling me “you have an aggressive dog.” My wife had our 1-1/2 year old strapped to her chest. Needless to say, my dogs are more than friendly and that was evident. There needs to be some kind of regulation at the dog park. My tax dollars help fund it, and the nasty ignorant patrons have a power struggle over it.
