This area is actually part of Stotzky Memorial Park, so it took a bit of time to locate the dog sections. There are two small fenced-in areas: one for small dogs and another for large dogs. You can let your dog off-leash, but if your pup is a digger, be cautious—there are spots where a fast digger could potentially escape. It wasn’t crowded at all during the week; in fact, I didn’t see another person or dog.

Sep 10, 2024 · Fred GastonIt's relatively clean but could be better maintained. I walk the park with my dog often and its ok but could be better
Jun 08, 2025 · Andrew CIt was a decent park. A bit small but fenced in quite well. The dog park in rockaway is much larger and the one we usually visit. Very disappointed in the other owners there. My dogs are very friendly but very protective. One owner came in with a baby and their dog was constantly coming up to one of mine and barking aggressively. I had to restrain my dog from attacking. The other owner just said, "he is being very protective of the baby today." Didn't discipline his dog or anything. So we left. Very upsetting. Another dog owner there, obviously friends with that owner, didn't even say anything. They just kept taking about getting together one night during the week.
May 15, 2022 · Francesco GiaramitaLarge and small dogs are separated, which is good. It's not a huge area but it's sufficient. I've used it twice now to introduce a new rescue to my other two dogs. Did the trick. All dogs are happy and playing nicely together.
