This well-regarded dog park offers a fantastic solution for locals looking to give their dogs the exercise and socialization they need in a secure and amenity-rich setting.

Ace of Hearts Rotary Park isn't just an open field; it's a thoughtfully designed recreation space that caters to the diverse needs of the canine community. A key highlight is its fully enclosed nature, providing peace of mind for owners as their dogs explore and interact freely. This park is a product of collaborative efforts, developed through partnerships involving the City of Anacortes Parks Department, the Anacortes Rotary Club, and other community groups. For many locals, Ace of Hearts Rotary Park has become a cherished part of their routine, a place to connect with other dog lovers, and a vibrant hub for canine fun. It's often highlighted by visitors as a welcome alternative to other dog parks where experiences might be less consistent.

Visitors will find a welcoming atmosphere and a range of features designed to enhance their experience. While like any public space, responsible pet ownership is key, the overall feedback from the community consistently points to Ace of Hearts Rotary Park as a well-maintained, friendly, and highly suitable destination for dog owners in Washington.

Being part of a larger multi-use park, Ace of Hearts Rotary Park also benefits from existing city infrastructure, which contributes to its overall convenience and management.

The park's design, including its fully fenced perimeter and often double-gated entrances, prioritizes easy and safe entry and exit for dogs and their owners. While some areas might experience mud, especially in the beginning after rain, a small hose is available to help clean off muddy paws before leaving.

These comprehensive features contribute to the park's excellent reputation and make it a highly desirable destination for dog owners seeking a safe, well-equipped, and enjoyable off-leash experience.

Promotions or Special Offers

As a public facility, Ace of Hearts Rotary Park, managed by the City of Anacortes Parks Department, does not offer traditional commercial "promotions" or "special offers" in the retail sense. Its primary value proposition is providing a free, publicly accessible off-leash area for the community's dogs.

However, the City of Anacortes Parks Department, in collaboration with the Anacortes Rotary Club and other local organizations, may occasionally host or promote community events that can be considered valuable "offers" to locals:

  • City-Sponsored Pet Events: The Parks Department might organize dog-related events such as pet adoption drives, responsible pet ownership workshops, or "Dog Day" events, which are typically free or low-cost to attend. These events foster community engagement and pet welfare.
  • Rotary Club Initiatives: Given the Rotary Club's involvement in the park's development, they may occasionally sponsor community dog-focused events or initiatives at the park.
  • Volunteer Opportunities: Opportunities for community members to participate in park clean-up days or volunteer efforts are sometimes available, offering a chance to contribute to the park's upkeep and connect with fellow dog enthusiasts.
  • Local Pet Business Collaborations: While not direct park promotions, local pet supply stores, groomers, or veterinarians in Anacortes might offer discounts or hold events that are promoted in conjunction with local dog parks, benefiting visitors.

  • Check the official City of Anacortes Parks and Recreation website for announcements.

This is a nice park for the dogs, completely enclosed, lots of room to run and separate enclosure for small dogs. Running water is available for the dogs to drink and pools are provided for their play. There's even a port-a-potty, which is actually pretty clean.

After a ferry ride, I was looking for somewhere my pup could play before we were going to drive... Ace of Hearts is a fun spot. Hills and a trail around the perimeter. Pup-friendly water feature. No restrooms - plan ahead.

I really enjoyed this place. The dog park is great size, and it even has a water spout for the dogs, along with a little blue kiddy pool. What I really love is how they have a undercover cabana that has one wall to protect you from the wind & rain. Not to mention they also have an open field right next to it, as well as a trail. I haven't yet went on the trail. So I don't know where it leads to. 🦴🐕🐕‍🦺🦮
