My wife and I have been bringing our pet here for years so this is disappointing to write but I feel obligated to share our recent experience with them. We made an appointment with them on a Friday afternoon because they had an opening to get our dog vaccinated and when we made the appointment over the phone they assured us because we were getting vaccinations the checkup fee was waived. Our dog was also losing small amount of fur on her foot so we mentioned this during the phone call. So we went in and got our dog vaccinated and while we were in there we asked them to look at our dogs paw to make sure everything was okay, (paw losing some fur) defintly not an emergency situation just more of a curiosity thing. They look at it briefly and tell us they don't know but give us a shampoo to try. We go to check out and they threw in an additional $75 fee for a checkup fee. This is the fee they told us they would waived so I asked about it and got no where with the front desk and asked if I could speak to the manager. The manager came out and said that because it was an emergency visit we were getting charged. I then explained how this clearly isn't an emergency, our dog walked in with no limp and it doesn't even seem to bother her that she is losing a small amount of fur. The manager agrees with me that it isn't an emergency and says she will have to talk to the Dr. A few days later they call me back about the situation and explain to me that the reason we got charged wasn't because it was an emergency but because it was a same day appointment. I then explained to them that when we made the appointment that whoever we spoke to from their office, informed us that it would get waived because of the vaccinations. This back and forth lasted 2 weeks before they agreed to refund only half of what they charged. This shows how dishonest they have become just to make an extra buck. Extremely disappointed because like I previously said we have been going there for years and they threw in an extra charge that they said they would waive for a checkup they didn't give us any answers to except that they didn't know. I would leave a 0 star review if I could.

All of the staff here are so wonderful and have taken great care of my cat Stella. They have been flexible with visit times and fitting us in when there's an urgent need. Can't say enough good things about the amazing care they provide, and are always up front about cost as well.

I'm so happy we have ZVS in our community. On two occasions in the past, I was in need of emergent care for a pet not currently their patient. (We were not able to obtain an appt. with our own vet.) ZVS staff and doctors were so kind and agreed to see us. I know they did this despite being fully booked and truly didn't have time, but made time nonetheless. I was so relieved and grateful. I'm sure it's hard to turn people down when they call in a panic; I bet these types of calls come in daily. (I SEE YOU receptionists...your job is hard. You hear people's desperation but also see your vets/techs running way behind, drowning at times. Do you dare ask to fit someone in, AGAIN?) We switched all of our animals to this office and from euthanizing when necessary to ongoing care for our senior pets' many issues, they've been outstanding.

All our pets use Zeeland Veterinary and love it! Got in and out within 15 minutes!

We love Dr. Mary Reichardt & the staff. They all are so helpful, knowledgeable & compassionate. They feel like a family that truly cares.
