We have been taking our 2 dogs - Odie and Finnigan - to Ypsilanti Animal Clinic and we couldn’t be happier with the care they receive. The techs and the vet are amazing - they spend time with you and your pet and offer different options and treatments. They are patient and seem to genuinely care about your fur babies. I’m so thankful for this clinic!

Welcome to Ypsilanti Animal Clinic
Welcome to Ypsilanti Animal Clinic, a Pet Hospital located at 37 Ecorse Rd, Ypsilanti, MI 48198, USA. We aim to provide veterinary care for your beloved pets. Based on customer feedback, experiences at our clinic appear to vary, and it's important for prospective clients to consider these different perspectives.
One positive review highlights the clinic's caring and thorough approach. This client, who brings their two dogs to Ypsilanti Animal Clinic, expresses happiness with the care received. They specifically mention that the veterinary technicians and the veterinarian are "amazing," taking the time to engage with both the pet and the owner, and offering various treatment options. This reviewer appreciates the patience shown by the staff and their apparent genuine concern for the animals under their care, stating their thankfulness for the clinic.
In contrast, another review presents a significantly different experience. This customer, who had been bringing their dogs and cat to the clinic for several years, strongly advises others to seek veterinary care elsewhere. Their critical feedback centers on an incident involving a missed rabies vaccination for their dog during a routine visit for recurring vaccinations. According to this review, the rabies vaccination was omitted because it wasn't due until the following month, and the client was allegedly not informed of this omission. Consequently, the client believed their dog was fully vaccinated until an incident involving an unvaccinated pit bull attack revealed the oversight to animal control.
The negative review further claims that the head of staff at the hospital attempted to place blame on the pet owner for not reminding them about the rabies vaccination, suggesting the owner should have known it wasn't administered because they didn't receive a tag. The reviewer expresses strong dissatisfaction with this response, labeling the staff as "rude, incompetent," and lacking accountability. They also state that no apology was offered for the alleged negligence, leading them to conclude they would not return and would advise others to avoid the clinic, emphasizing the potential risk to their pet's life due to the missed vaccination.
Considering these contrasting viewpoints, it appears that while some clients have experienced caring and thorough service at Ypsilanti Animal Clinic, as indicated by the positive review mentioning detailed explanations and a genuine concern for pets, others have encountered significant issues, as highlighted by the negative review detailing a critical error in vaccination records and a perceived lack of accountability.
As a Pet Hospital, Ypsilanti Animal Clinic would typically offer a range of services aimed at maintaining and improving the health of your pets. These services generally include routine wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite prevention, dental care, and treatment for illnesses and injuries. However, based on the conflicting reviews, the execution and communication surrounding these services may vary.
Regarding the clinic's environment, the positive review implies a welcoming atmosphere where the staff spends time with pets and owners. The negative review does not directly comment on the physical environment but focuses on the perceived incompetence and lack of professionalism of the staff. Therefore, it's challenging to provide a comprehensive description of the clinic's environment based solely on these two reviews.
Neither of the provided reviews mentions any specific promotional information or goods for sale at Ypsilanti Animal Clinic. To obtain details about any current promotions or the products available, it would be best to contact the clinic directly at (734) 485-1622 or +1 734-485-1622.
In summary, Ypsilanti Animal Clinic is a Pet Hospital in Ypsilanti, MI, that has received both positive feedback regarding caring staff and thorough explanations, and critical feedback concerning vaccination protocols and accountability. Prospective clients should consider these differing experiences when making decisions about their pet's care. To learn more about the clinic's services, environment, or any potential promotions, please contact them directly. It is important to weigh all available information when choosing a veterinary provider for your pet.

Oct 10, 2024 · Jill TaitTAKE YOUR ANIMALS SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! Not only is this place incompetent, BUT THEY HAVE NO ACCOUNTABILITY WHEN THEY MAKE A MISTAKE. I have taken both my dogs and my cat to this veterinarian for years. At first on the surface they seem competent and capable. But as time goes by, you will surely find out they are anything but that. The most recent incident: I took my dog there roughly 45 days ago for her reoccurring vaccinations. For whatever reason, they left out the rabies vaccination because it wasn't due the following month. Instead of asking me if I wanted the vaccination then, So I wouldn't have to come back again, they decided to skip it without my permission and didn't let me know. So I'm under the impression My dog is fully vaccinated. Three days ago we get viciously attacked by a pitbull that didn't have any vaccinations. When I go give the animal control officer all of mine and my dogs information, they call up this veterinarian only to find out that my dog was seen roughly two months ago but wasn't given her rabies vaccine. Not only is that bad enough, but the head of staff at this hospital tried blaming their There incompetence and lack of professionalism on me, Saying that it was my fault that I didn't remind them that she needed the vaccination! Saying I should have known that she didn't get the rabies vaccination because I wasn't given a tag for my dog's collar! Like any of this is my fault!! This place put my dog's life at risk! That is the worst possible thing any veterinarian could possibly do! The staff was rude, incompetent, and had zero accountability for their actions! They did not even apologize for their negligence and ineptitude. Needless to say I will not bring my dogs back here, AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU.
Feb 01, 2025 · Dennis PaquetteStarted here when I first got the boys fresh out of college. I'm so happy for many reasons I bought my house in Wayne, especially that I can take the kitties here again without causing them too much stress. 20 minutes of the yowling (they HATE my car) is worth the care they receive here. Literally every single staff member is a gem. Even in between when I had the apartment in Farmington Hills (yuck) I had called them twice over concerning behaviors and they were so happy to assist over the phone and give me great advice, even when they didn't know I'd be coming back to them permanently one day. Dr. Kunoff rocks and you can tell right away he is truly an expert in his profession. He is real, he is kind, and the service is extremely affordable for such amazing quality. Always grateful I know I can come here.
Oct 03, 2024 · Kaitlin BedroI want to continue to bring my cat here, but it deeply worries me that the last time she had an infection, this clinic told me she did not have one. I had to get her urine emergency tested at 1 am across town when she was wailing and peeing blood…I just don’t want them to overlook anything else in her care. Accidents do happen, but they weren’t even kind about it. Dismissive. Would love to discuss further but they never allow me inside, even post COVID.
Mar 30, 2025 · Gabe HowardWe've been taking our cat, Jonesy, here for 3 years now, and they always have taken care of him with love and kindness, and affordability. They do have a curbside policy in which visitors drop their animal off and stay in their car, but that never bothered us. Staff are still communicative and involved. Thanks for all you do to keep Jonesy happy and healthy!
