Dr. Bailey has been our veterinarian since she opened her practice on Main Street.We have seen her multiple times a year for over a decade I have never met a more kind and compassionate veterinarian. She truly understands how important her patients are to the human that brings them to her office. The entire practice is a testament to the old saying “birds of a feather, flock together.” Dr. Bailey & her team are the same. They share the same love of the animals, kindness towards clients & integrity. Our Lab is now 13 and has arthritis. She gets a monthly shot & takes a daily med to control her pain. Tyler, at the front desk, knew that I was caring for my mother while she was undergoing chemo treatments. He called to tell me Mollies prescription was ready for pick up and would I like him to drop it off on his way home. I say all that so you will know what type of care to expect from Dr. Bailey & her entire team.

May 09, 2025 · Jamey HobgoodDr. Bailey and the team at Youngsville Animal Hospital are the best! Our dog is a very friendly German Shepherd/Husky mix, but he does not like to be examined. Dr. Bailey and her team are always extremely understanding and patient in making him feel as calm as possible and taking exceptional care of him. I cannot recommend the team at Youngsville Animal Hospital highly enough!

May 09, 2025 · S BenderRecently my wife and I took our 13-year-old dog here to get her teeth cleaned. We knew she needed extensive dental work that would require anesthesia, so when Youngsville Animal Hospital gave us an estimate in the $1100-$2100 range, we were okay with it. During the procedure, they called my wife to let her know that the bill had reached the top of the estimate with 2 teeth left to pull and to ask if we were okay with them going above the estimate. When she asked how much longer it would take, they told her they didn't know. Since they'd already pulled 37 teeth, she gave them the okay to continue, figuring it would be a few hundred dollars more. Our final bill ended being double the high end of the estimate, and that was after a 20% "courtesy discount". My wife and I both called YAH to see if they would be willing to work with us further on the bill, but the response we both got boiled down to "you said you were okay with going over the estimate". Ashley, the office manager, kept offering to let us listen to the recording of the call, as if somehow that would make us okay with the situation. Both my wife and I felt her attitude was a little condescending - like she couldn't understand why we might be upset. The only concession she was willing to make was a $100 credit on a future visit (which just felt insulting) or an extension on our Care Credit financing period (which my wife was able to secure on her own by calling Care Credit). Ashley was also difficult to communicate with. It wasn't entirely her fault, as she had a family emergency one week, but even when she was in the office she failed several times to call us back when promised, and it's disappointing that no one else was able to handle things while she was out. Ashley told us that they're going to change how they communicate in the future, and I'm glad they're trying to improve. That doesn't help the unexpected financial burden we've been saddled with, though. I don't think YAH was trying to take advantage of us, I just think they failed to communicate their intentions appropriately. It felt like they interpreted our consent as a blank check, which wasn't the case at all. I suppose we could have told them "don't go more than $500 over the estimate", but never in our wildest dreams did we think we might end up having to pay double what we were quoted. YAH said they wanted to do what was right by our dog, and I have no reason to doubt that, but I wish they had considered our financial well-being as well. I've tried to be as clear and objective as possible in this review, but I suspect YAH will respond with their own take on the situation. I'm not disputing any of the facts, I just think they could have handled things better during and after the procedure. If they had only asked "how far over the estimate are you comfortable going?" this 1-star review could have been a 4-or-5-star review.
