I called several animal clinics/hospitals and none of them were able to accommodate my litter. Finally I called Yonkers Animal Hospital and the receptionist was so helpful with setting up my appointment. They were professional, wonderful and took great care of our puppies. They went above and beyond to accommodate our litter of 12 puppies. I highly recommend this hospital for your pets !

Yonkers Animal Hospital Introduce
Welcome to Yonkers Animal Hospital, located at 526 Saw Mill River Rd, Yonkers, NY 10701, USA. This "Pet Hospital" can be contacted at (914) 965-0557 or their mobile number +1 914-965-0557. Reviews regarding Yonkers Animal Hospital present a mixed perspective on the services provided.
One customer shared a positive experience, highlighting the helpfulness of the receptionist in scheduling an appointment for a litter of 12 puppies when other clinics were unable to accommodate them. They described the staff as professional and wonderful, emphasizing the great care their puppies received and recommending the hospital.
Conversely, another customer shared a deeply negative experience. This review alleges concerns about prioritizing money over the pet's well-being. The reviewer details bringing in a young kitten with a fever who was initially sent home. Upon returning a week later, the kitten received antibiotics after the owner advocated for them. Following blood work that was reportedly deemed normal and a subsequent injection, the kitten died in the owner's arms two hours later. The reviewer expresses feelings of discrimination and a lack of compassion, also claiming to have witnessed a staff member kicking a puppy. The owner of the deceased kitten reported that the hospital was unaware of the death until the owner informed them three hours after it occurred, with a staff member reportedly stating they don't call all patients back due to business demands. This reviewer strongly advises against visiting Yonkers Animal Hospital.
Based on these reviews, experiences at Yonkers Animal Hospital appear to vary significantly. While one customer appreciated the accommodating nature for a large litter and the professionalism of the staff, another reported a tragic outcome and expressed serious concerns about the hospital's care, compassion, and ethical practices.

Oct 11, 2024 · S YuWhat a joke !!! If these people was so good why they not a five star was you guys paid to say this. Lisa you got a curtesy card how nice must be a white thing. Well I took my kitten Selena which was only a year old. First thing they was concerned about was money. She had a fever and she was sent home sick to die. So I took her back because she needed antibiotics which I fought for them to give her which was a week later. I also got blood work was told she was ok they gave her a shot of something two hours later she died in my arms. So Lisa it’s nice they catered to you all of you. But not only did I feel discriminated I felt no compassion. I also witnessed one of the workers kick one of the puppies in a room. Where was the owners ? I’m sure that puppy will have issues later. My point Is I had to go up there to tell them Selena died in my arms which was March 27 2024 they didn’t even know until today. Her concern was we run a business I don’t call all my patients back. Really so which ones get a call back???? I wouldn’t advise anyone to go here you might loose your pet. I sat with her dead for three hours before they came and got her.
May 08, 2024 · Melinda OrdonezI don't know why their reviews aren't better. This is the first place where vets speak to me with humanity and empathy. I recently moved from Latin America so I am getting used to how things work here. However, it was hard for me to find vets that actually cared and that can hold space for the emotions that surround a vet visit. My dogs are service dogs and I have a very special bond with them. They spend almost 24/7 with me and they are my life line. I've asked to be with my dogs in appointments (we have separation anxiety from each other lol but mostly because being medical alert SDs they are trained to keep me safe and to watch over me) and they have been so understanding. when possible, they've let me be in the exam rooms. They also call back after vaccines to see how our dogs did the day after, they listen so carefully to everything you say...I can't be happier! Thank you to everyone in the team. From the receptionists to all vets, you make it very special!
Aug 09, 2024 · Lucia Miri EchavarriaI really want to like this vet, but why do they think it’s okay to take my pet to the back to give him shots or whatever while I’m not present. They literally try every time we’re there to leave me in the waiting room while they take my pet to a back room cause they never have “enough space”. Well I’ll wait until you make enough room for me and my pet! You are not taking my pet to give him shots without me being there! Why are they trying to keep us out? What don’t they want us to see? Do they manhandle the pets? Do they say they’re giving them shots or treatment and give them nothing? I don’t know! I’ll be damned if you take my pet away from me to treat them this is a terrible practice that they need to stop or they are going to lose customers!
Mar 12, 2025 · Jennifer PerezI would give this place zero stars if i could. The major issue here is this place does not have the proper machines that a animal hospital should have. They DO NOT have a urine machine so god forbid you need urine tested and need results the same day. I took my cat here asking for answers why shes been acting weird just for them not able to give me a answer and to charge me over $700 for the office vist and for the “work” they did, just for my cat to end up passing. Honestly if you love your pet don’t go here and pay the extra money and go to the ER
