02/28/25 ...52 weeks without you buddy. I miss you so, so much. Best Dog Ever Jakey, I love you buddy!! ❤️ 6 weeks ago, Leap Day, 02/29/24 I unexpectedly lost my sweet Jake. I miss him so much!! I always knew, though, that if I ever needed care for Jake, Woodside Animal Hospital was where I would take him for the best care. The employees here are caring, compassionate and professional. Always the best!! Thank you for always taking such good care of all of our pets!

Been going here forever. Dogs, cats, rooster, geese, even a duck. Dr. Porte retired, with no notice to patients. Now I can't even mail-order a prescription for my dog. Spent $90 to get her examined. New vet said it could take 4 weeks or more for her strain to heal, but only gave 2 weeks anti-inflammatory. Submitted online order for refill and it was declined. Receptionist said I need to bring her back in for blood tests first. Nonsense. Time for a new practice.

This used to be my go to vet, and I would tell everyone to come here when Dr. Porte worked here. She has since retired as of February 2024. Her son still works there, but Lorrie is gone. I came in to ask questions about what I thought was a blocked mammary gland on my female dog and was met with grave concerns of cancer and an estimated vet visit of $1700 with a follow up surgery that would cost another $1700. Dr. Porte would never have let this happen and she would have proceeded to rule out the least expensive and most likely diagnoses first before moving onto the kind of scare tactics that took $600 out of my wallet that day. All for a blocked mammary duct, which is why we came there in the first place. If I had any feedback for the new vet that works there, it would be to please try to rule out the least expensive thing first and keep the visit dry. Nobody needs extra panic in their life about aggressive cancers. I feel frustrated and I feel like the emotional appeals and poor guidance to which I was subjected caused me to spend $400 more than what the clinic visit plus an aspiration, soap and antibiotics/anti-inflammatory meds should have cost. I have two other rescues in my house and I need to be able to budget accordingly to take care of all of them when they have serious issues. I can’t afford to throw away hundreds of dollars over something as frivolous as a blocked mammary duct. The staff are wonderful and it was great chatting with them as I forked over hundreds of dollars. Ultimately, I’m just disappointed with myself because I had Dog mom intuition, I came in for help with a specific issue and I set it aside to listen to a vet who I didn’t know, and with whom no rapport had been built. I’ll be chalking this up to an expensive learning experience.

I really like the vet, she is great and her prices are very affordable. My problem is with the office staff. When I call, they keep me waiting and when I take my dog into the office I am kept waiting. Today, I was ready to check out, but they checked out two people ahead of me! I realize they are a busy office but good customer service dictates that you help the people in the office first in the order in which they are served. This was after I let them know I was ahead of the two other customers!

I have had 4 of my pets over the years go to Woodside Animal Hospital. This trip in, I had to bring my old lady pup for euthanasia. My heart was thrashed... losing my sweet sweet girl. All staff there were very kind. Very gentle. Loving on my Baby until she was gone. The care and concern expressed was very endearing. Professional. Accommodated us in an emergency situation. I am in gratitude. The facility is clean and well attended. It was busy lbutwe were greeted iand helped mmediately. I will continue to bring my babies to this clinic. Thank you again Woodside Animal Hospital. Olive and I will see you soon.
