Apr 28, 2025 路 Jessica RotellaWorst vet experience I have ever had. This place USED to be the best in the county. Now, not so much. The WHOLE experience felt like I was being nickel and dimed like they were trying to bleed a turnip. I will admit that I ask A LOT of questions, but that is what a responsible pet owner does when they don't fully understand, and it had never been an issue in the past. Most recent experience: *After over $800 of testing/visit fees quoted, I applied for the CareCredit account that was recommended by the clinic staff and authorized the quoted price when I was approved. *Tests came back (done in house, so didn't have to wait too long, which was nice), cat is diagnosed with diabetes. * Dr. recommended two treatment options that were VERY expensive and out of my price range. **Putting the cat down was their recommendation when I stated that I could not afford those options. I told the Dr that I wanted to do some research and she offered to call me back later that day to discuss what I found out. *At check out, I was informed that there would be another fee for using the payment option that they recommended, adding almost $90 onto my bill bringing my bill to $915. (RED FLAG, since that was not mentioned when they recommended the option) *After several business days, I had to call them back to find out she had previously sent a vaguely worded email and recommended that I bring him back for another visit. *After again waiting several days for a follow up call from the Dr that never came, I called back up that Monday and was only then informed that the Dr I was working with left the clinic over the weekend (RED FLAG) and no one had bothered to reach out to me to let me know. *I had researched the medication that they did not carry, and I found it online for a reasonable price. When I called up to the office to request the prescription, I was told that they had spoke with the owner, and will now be carrying the new med in House (for $45 more than I found on line). So now, I would have to pay $18 per written prescription, and the initial prescription that had to be picked up BEFORE they got it in stock or I would be subject to the additional fee. I asked how late they would be open for me to be able to pick up the prescription, and was told 7pm. When I arrived at the office at 6:45p they had locked the doors, and even though I saw them walking around, they would not come to the door, and when I called it immediately answered with "our office is currently closed" and I had to take time off work the next day to pick up the prescription. Driving away (the third time trying to get my cat's treatment started), I saw that it was written with 0 refills. When called and asked about why, she said the other Dr wants me to bring him in for another office visit, and then they would write another prescription (office visit fee + prescription fee) * I found an option with the pharmacy that would allow them to call the vet to confirm prescription, and they were told that they do not provide that confirmation over the phone to outside pharmacies, and would not confirm the prescription. This will require me to send in an original written prescription, signed by the Dr. and that since I was given one with an electronic signature, it would be considered a photo copy and would need to be verified by the vet, which they already refused to do. Which would be subject to the additional fee, because now the med is in stock. I wish I would have written down the Tech's name who tried her best to be informative and companionate. She really did try to help, and seemed like she was bound by company policies that IMHO align more with making as much profit as possible, rather than aligning with the best interest of you and your pet. I have called another clinic that said they would be happy to review his case, and work with me on getting his treatment started as quickly as possible.
Mar 28, 2025 路 John BealI took the puppy that my children received for Christmas to Woodforest Animal Hospital. The visit began extremely well, and they got us in early as we arrived 20 mins ahead of schedule. Once in the observation room with the tech, they reviewed the breeders' recorders on the puppy. I shared very clearly what I wanted done. They took the puppy out for vitals (weight, measurements, etc.) and the Vet, Dr. Williams came in and disregarded everything that I told the Tech I wanted done. - Wormed - Vaccinated - Chipped Standard things for a new puppy. Instead, she began telling me what they would do. I politely said that the breeder recommended XYZ. Dr. Williams became defensive and said, "the Breeder did not go to Vet School." I said no they did not, but they have been a breeder for longer than you have been a Vet. Dr. Williams Reply was simple, "I doubt it." She then continued telling me what she was going to do. Obviously, she had our relationship confused. The whole episode was laughable. I took my puppy and left. This woman is arrogant and seemed to be suffering from a K-9 Mesiah complex. I will not recommend Dr. Williams as vet. The front staff and team were amazing. I have heard great things about Dr. Alverez and this is why we went to Woodforest Animal Hospital to start.
Jan 17, 2025 路 Travis CostonIF I could give 0 starts I would, I initially took my Dog for an open wound he was stitched up, we paid $702.77for all he was treated for we left happy no complaints but, right after 8 hours the wound started to open up again we came back and we were told that we had to pay again $344 Initially fee's on Saturday were for clip and clean wound $35 laceration fee $75 Today Monday Clip and clean wound fee $75 Laceration fee $125 I refused to pay all over those fees and left. I consider myself a good customer, don't like to complaint and don't like to ask for discounts or things like that. When things needs to be done I understand we need to pay for services that has been provided. I own a local business in downtown Conroe and been in customer service for little over 10 years I have never had an issue with any of my customers. All my customers leave happy and if anyone had an issue I try to address it properly and I make sure that customer leaves happy. And look forward for them to be back at our location. Unfortunately I have a very bad experience at this place.
