Winterville Animal Clinic

I've been using WAC since they opened in Winterville. Every doctor I have used has treated my pets with love and care. The staff has always been amazing and accommodating. Through cancer, venomous snake bites to kennel cough, my boys have been well taken care of. WAC takes the best care of my boys, Chester and Duncan. The staff is awesome! I love WAC!

A few years ago, my senior pit Layla had a sudden instance of extreme pain, it was not at all clear what the issue was. We went to the emergency vet and my usual vet, neither could find anything wrong and suspected it was a back issue, possibly a slipped disc that wasn't showing up on scans. Even on heavy sedatives, painkillers, and steroids, she was in severe pain and couldn't walk. A friend suggested I try acupuncture, and despite having very little hope of it working, I drove the 45 minutes each way for sessions at Winterville Animal Clinic. The difference was immediate and drastic. She had about six months of regular treatments that allowed her to live a mostly normal life while her back healed. I am so, so grateful to Dr. Anna and all of the incredibly kind staff there! It has been almost two years since her last treatment and she has been going strong with no relapses at all. I could not believe what a difference acupuncture made in her comfort level. There were several times prior to starting treatment where she would collapse in the yard and be in too much pain for me to move her. I have been in animal rescue a long time and seen many animals in rough shape, but having to wait for the pain to pass so I could lift her and get her inside was one of the worst experiences of my life. I am eternally glad that the acupuncture was able to keep her at ease while time helped her back and she is now able to live a perfectly normal life as if nothing ever happened!

We recently moved to Athens and found this vet through online recommendations. We have only been one time for a yearly checkup; but so far, I am very impressed. Everyone in the office was very kind and accommodating. They explained things more throughly than our previous office. (Oral care for our dog, what vaccine reactions look like..) The service was excellent and the price is very reasonable too. I’m so glad we found them to care for our pup!

Everyone here is so so sweet and kind. They really care for your pet like their own, I completely trust and recommend them. Unfortunately, we were missed quoted for my dogs surgery, but they did everything in their power to make it right. Miscommunications happen, they handled it very well. Thank you guys so much from Peggy and our family for taking good care of her during her surgery.

I took my cat today to come get a checkup. They treated him with amazing care and made him as comfortable as possible even bringing a blanket and treats. The staff was super nice and they accommodated us well!
