Thank you for giving my sweet Aria such loving and dignified care in the end. I miss her every day and I’m grateful Dr Schneider was there because I know she did everything she could to help. Thank you again for being so professional and as caring as a human could be in such a difficult and important job. It’s hard making this review because obviously I would have loved for it to go differently, but I am grateful every day that Aria was shown the love and respect she deserved up to the end. Thank you again for caring about what you do.

Jan 29, 2025 · Audrey EliseTonight I brought my pup in because he was suddenly unable to walk and seemed really scared. The vets were kind and provided fast, compassionate care. They ran a drug panel and determined it was most likely due to marijuana exposure. They recommended an anti-nausea shot but didn’t push for any unnecessary tests or blood work. I really appreciated how considerate they were about my budget, and I never felt judged for choosing not to do the extra testing.
Apr 16, 2025 · Meadow AraujoAll I can say is WOW! What an incredible team they have at Wilvet Salem! We brought in our French Bulldog who was in labor yesterday. We were tired and scared, but obviously came to the right place. They helped us birth 6 beautiful puppies! We were there for about 9 hours total, and the whole time I felt like we were the only patients there because the staff and Doctor were so attentive! Not once did I feel like an inconvenience. They were amazing with our girl Oakley and her puppies, and even made sure we had snacks and drinks. I have never received care like this before. Dr. Haze (sp?) and her assistant (sorry can’t remember your name, I was exhausted) were amazing and clearly knew what they were doing, not to mention just so nice! I’m just so thankful that Oakley was in their care. Can’t recommend this place enough and if I ever have another emergency this will be my first call. Top Notch
Mar 07, 2025 · Shawna WatsonWe took our 3 year old pitbull in after she had stopped eating. They took x-rays and told us it’s absolutely necessary to do surgery to get the foreign bodies out. They demanded $5,100 up front and talked about this number like it’s no big deal. We put ourselves into debt for them to perform this surgery, just for the vet to call the next morning and tell us the foreign bodies were so small she should have been able to pass them herself. While it’s concerning she wasn’t passing food through, it seems they probably could have determined the size of the foreign bodies with the x-ray and considered other options prior to going straight to surgery. They didn’t recommend bringing her home until she ate something so we paid an additional $1,500 for another 24 hours of care. About 10 hours into that 24 hours my husband and I decided to bring her home as she’s more likely to get back to her normal self in the comfort of her home with her family around. When my husband said we would like to take her home the nurse agreed she’s ready. So they were fully prepared to continuing charging us $1,500 per day to unnecessarily keep our dog there. I’m absolutely appalled by the entire experience and will never be taking any of my animals there again. The entire thing feels like a money grab. The fact that they would put a dog under anesthesia and put her through major surgery unnecessarily for more money rather than trying less invasive and less expensive options first is disgusting. The picture attached is the rocks they put my 60lb pitbull through surgery for. The penny is only in the photo as reference to show how small the rocks were.
May 03, 2025 · Hannah EspericuetaI brought my 3-year old Rottie into Wilvet on Sunday night due to ingesting toxic poison. I had called while enroute and was greeted promptly upon arrival, Young Z was seen within minutes of our arrival and received the care he needed quickly. I was so pleased with the care and compassion given to my boy and myself. This is not always the case with Rotties, I have had several rotties and unfortunately we have experienced lack of care and compassion in some instances. Thank you for being one of the Clinics and Veterinarians that we can trust when we need help.
