Wildwood Animal Hospital & Clinic distinguishes itself through its broad spectrum of veterinary services, catering to both traditional companion animals and a significant number of exotic and "pocket" pets. This extensive service offering makes it a versatile choice for many pet owners. Their core services include:
General Wellness and Preventative Care: This encompasses routine check-ups, vaccinations, parasite control, and nutritional counseling, all aimed at maintaining the long-term health and well-being of pets. Preventative care is crucial for early detection and management of potential health issues.
Internal Medicine: The clinic diagnoses and treats a wide range of internal diseases affecting various organ systems. This includes managing chronic conditions and acute illnesses.
Surgical Procedures: Wildwood Animal Hospital & Clinic performs various surgical interventions, from routine procedures like spaying and neutering to more complex soft tissue surgeries. The positive review mentioning a successful surgery for a leopard gecko with a mass highlights their surgical capabilities, even for exotic species.
Dental Care: Oral health is critical for overall pet well-being, and the clinic provides comprehensive dental services, including cleanings, extractions, and treatment for periodontal disease.
Diagnostic Services: To accurately diagnose conditions, the clinic likely utilizes various diagnostic tools such as in-house laboratory testing (blood work, urinalysis), radiography (X-rays), and potentially ultrasound capabilities, although specific details are not provided. One of the most salient features of Wildwood Animal Hospital & Clinic, as highlighted by customer testimonials, is the exceptional care and expertise provided for exotic and pocket pets. The positive feedback about Dr. Bellen's investment in a leopard gecko's mass removal demonstrates a specialized skill set and dedication to non-traditional companions. This is a crucial distinction, as many general veterinary clinics do not possess the knowledge or equipment to properly treat exotic species.
Beyond specialized care, the clinic is praised for its staff's overall professionalism, thoroughness, and caring demeanor. The recurring theme in reviews is the "amazing" staff who are "very thorough and caring," ensuring that pets receive attentive and compassionate treatment. This commitment to patient well-being extends to the owner experience, with clients expressing their willingness to return for future pet needs, indicating a high level of satisfaction and trust built through positive interactions and effective medical outcomes.
The ability to handle a wide range of species under one roof streamlines care for multi-pet households that include both traditional and exotic animals, offering convenience and consistent quality of service. The clinic's dedication to diagnosing and treating complex conditions, even for small and unique pets, showcases a commitment to comprehensive care for all animals they serve.
Wildwood Animal Hospital & Clinic positions itself as a reliable and experienced veterinary provider for the Marshfield area, with a distinct advantage in exotic and pocket pet medicine. For potential clients, especially those with exotic pets like reptiles, small mammals, or birds, Wildwood Animal Hospital & Clinic appears to be an excellent choice. The reviews strongly recommend their services, citing specific positive experiences with specialized care. Feb 28, 2025 · Manda BallWe traveled about 50 minutes to get our guinea pigs checked out. The staff was amazing. Very thorough and caring. We will definitely keep coming back for our pets' needs.
Feb 28, 2025 · Amanda MillerWildwood has been taking care of my pets for 15. + Years. I put 2 dogs down in 3 months. The staff knew it was a hard time for me giving me plenty of support to me and my beloved dogs. They are caring and compassionate. I had a puppy that was very excited to visit them. She is 2 years now and was a handful then. The staff was very patient with her when she was a puppy. I was embarrassed of her behavior, the staff and Dr. Bellin never showed any frustration with her hyperness.
