Wilderness Trace Veterinary Clinic Introduce
Wilderness Trace Veterinary Clinic, situated at 276 Henry St, Junction City, KY 40440, USA, serves as a dedicated **Pet Hospital** providing essential veterinary care to the local community. This clinic functions as a comprehensive animal healthcare provider, offering a spectrum of services and goods vital for the well-being of companion animals. From critical emergency procedures to routine health maintenance, Wilderness Trace Veterinary Clinic is committed to addressing the diverse needs of pets, integrating a pharmacy within its operations to ensure convenient access to necessary medications.
The **environment** at Wilderness Trace Veterinary Clinic, based on available information, aims to be a functional and caring space for pets requiring medical attention. While detailed descriptions of the interior design are not extensively publicized, the nature of a veterinary clinic implies a focus on cleanliness, organization, and equipment necessary for animal diagnostics and treatment. The staff's demeanor plays a crucial role in shaping the environment; one glowing review highlights their politeness, kindness, and willingness to go "above and beyond" for a pet undergoing emergency dental surgery. This suggests a team that strives to create a supportive and empathetic atmosphere, especially during stressful situations for both pets and their owners. However, another review indicates potential challenges with operational efficiency, mentioning long wait times and difficulties in scheduling appointments that align with client availability. This suggests that while the intent may be to provide a welcoming environment, practical aspects like patient flow and scheduling management can sometimes impact the client experience. A positive environment in a veterinary setting not only comforts the animals but also reassures their human companions, and it appears the clinic is working towards balancing both compassion and practical logistics.
As a **Pet Hospital**, Wilderness Trace Veterinary Clinic offers a wide array of **services** crucial for maintaining the health of local pets. These services encompass general veterinary care, which includes routine wellness examinations, preventative vaccinations to guard against common diseases, and comprehensive parasite control programs. They are equipped to handle various medical conditions, offering diagnostic services such as blood tests, urinalysis, and potentially imaging capabilities (like X-rays) to accurately identify and address health issues. Surgical procedures are a significant part of their offerings, ranging from routine operations like spaying and neutering to more complex and emergency surgeries, as exemplified by the emergency dental surgery mentioned in a customer review. This capability for emergency procedures is vital for a **Pet Hospital**, ensuring that critical cases can be addressed promptly. Dental care, as highlighted by the emergency surgery, is clearly a strong suit, indicating their capacity for advanced oral health procedures, including extractions and post-operative recovery care. Beyond these, general health counseling, nutritional advice, and potentially behavioral consultations would also be standard offerings to support the overall well-being of their patients. An integrated **pharmacy** within the clinic is a key part of their service delivery, enabling veterinarians to dispense prescribed medications immediately after diagnosis, ensuring that treatment can commence without delay. This on-site pharmacy stocks a range of veterinary drugs, pain relievers, antibiotics, and preventative medications for fleas, ticks, and heartworm, offering convenience and continuity of care for pet owners.
Several **features** characterize Wilderness Trace Veterinary Clinic. A standout feature, as attested by a client, is their willingness to extend their hours and "stayed over the hours of the clinic to fit her in" for emergency dental surgery. This demonstrates a strong commitment to patient care, prioritizing the urgent needs of animals even if it means working beyond regular operating times. The staff's dedication to ensuring a pet's comfort and recovery post-surgery, as described by the "polite and kind" team who "made sure that she was ok after recovery," highlights a compassionate and attentive approach to patient welfare. This level of personalized care, especially during critical moments, builds significant trust with pet owners. However, another aspect of their features, as conveyed by a different review, points to challenges in appointment scheduling and communication, indicating a potential area for improvement in client service efficiency. The difficulty in securing convenient appointment slots and the perception of limited options can be a significant hurdle for pet owners with busy schedules. Therefore, while the clinic excels in compassionate and dedicated medical care, particularly in emergencies, the logistical aspects of patient scheduling appear to be an area where the clinic is working to meet client expectations. The integration of an on-site pharmacy is also a beneficial feature, streamlining the process of obtaining necessary medications and advice, directly after a consultation.
For **promotional information**, Wilderness Trace Veterinary Clinic, as a functioning **Pet Hospital**, would typically highlight its range of medical and surgical services, its emergency capabilities, and its compassionate team. While specific promotional deals are not generally available in public reviews, potential clients are encouraged to inquire directly about any offers or programs. Clinics often provide new client discounts, wellness packages that bundle preventative care services, or seasonal promotions on vaccinations or specific treatments. They might also engage in community outreach, offering advice on pet health or participating in local events. To obtain the most accurate and current information on services, appointment availability, and any ongoing promotions, pet owners should contact Wilderness Trace Veterinary Clinic directly. They can be reached at **(859) 854-5055** or **+1 859-854-5055**. When calling, it would be beneficial to discuss specific needs, inquire about their approach to managing wait times, and ask about their scheduling flexibility. While the clinic shows a strong commitment to urgent and compassionate care, as evidenced by positive testimonials for critical situations, potential clients should consider all aspects of service delivery, including scheduling convenience, when choosing a veterinary provider. The overall aim of the clinic is to be a reliable and caring partner for pet owners in Junction City, ensuring their animals receive the best possible medical attention.

Apr 16, 2025 · Sheila HarrisFirst time I went there I had to wait in the parking lot for over an hour till I finally just left and went to another vet. Then the second time I tried to go there the lady on the phone tried to make me an appointment after I had already told her twice I had to work those hours. She said that's the first available and didn't even give me a second option or time and date sounded like it was my only option and I yet again will be going to another vet.
Dec 09, 2024 · SkullcrusherHad an older stray cat that we brought here. Wanted a check up and exam to see if there was anything we needed to do because she was so skinny, only weighing 4 pounds . The only thing they checked was her thyroid by taking blood. They gave us thyroid medication that made her so sick, so we quit giving it to her. The second appointment we brought her in and told them what was going on, they just ignored us and gave her a higher dose of thyroid medicine, they also gave us a “controlled substance” because she was so stressed out being there. When we had to get her put down only a month later, her liver and kidneys were failing, very dehydrated, depressed, her temperature was below normal, and had lost over a pound. The new vet we took her to was extremely concerned, and was very willing to help, checked everything they could. And started off with a temperature check, looked at her stool, urine, and blood, unlike this awful place. The new place we went to gave us our options and was very professional. Our sweet cat was so sick, and we didn’t even know it. The vet we took her to called this vet for the blood work. They said “ of course we will send it over as fast as possible “ but never sent them. So disappointed with their service and professionalism. Don’t waste your time here like we did. Spent so much money here on two appointments for them to do nothing…. My sweet girl had to pay the price.
Jul 06, 2024 · Logan AdamsThis veterinarian clinic is a wonderful place we have found to take our kitten babies. We had a bad experience with Wilkey in liberty ky and had to bring our kitten here to undo and repair a terrible job of spaying that Wilkey performed which made us very untrusting of the professionalism of vets but thank goodness the staff at Wilderness trace treated us with professional courtesy and took care of our kitten baby. We are grateful for the professional care Dr. Raispis and staff gave our kitten and the patience understanding and kindness they have shown us. Our trust was restored by Wilderness Trace in the skill and knowledge of people caring versus just making money from someone.
Feb 21, 2019 · S HallVery! Great! Veterinarian. Major my half rot half husky ate a rope and some plastic. Dr Stephanie was a God sent. She removed the rope and plastic. She made Major feel at home, she treated him as if he was family, me as well. Zack was there by Majors side to help the whole way, he took the time to thoroughly explain and answered all my questions and concerns. I would say they treated him/me like family. I would give 6 stars but it only let me put 5. God bless Dr Stephanie and her staff.
