I’m bringing my baby in as part of his treatment plan for a sudden neck injury. This has been such a stressful time for both of us. Being able to incorporate holistic care (acupuncture, laser therapy, herbal supplements) is important to me. The whole staff has been very kind and knowledgeable. My dog is reactive, so the fear free practices help both of us feel more comfortable. Wolfie says thank you! :)

These people are awesome with our rescue who had been abused. Their kind way of dealing with her is above and beyond what would be expected. Praline is always in good hands with them each time we visit. With each refill being handled so promptly. You go in to pick up the medication and you will find your fur babies name written in a special way on their bag. This has been our experience each time. You know they love what they do by the way the pets are treated. I am so glad our special girl has them. Praline is a German Shepherd Malinois mix which would make you a bit hesitant to deal with. However we know they love her. Thanks for being there for our precious fur baby!

I went to Dr. Khare as a reccomendation from my best friend who's pup was diagnosed with cancer. Mine was diagnosed with Stage 3 Kidney disease October 10th and that week I had done a lot of research and I just didn't want to put my pup on drugs for her kidneys to just process more, so I decided to make an appointment here to see my options. She is 11, 12 this month so I don't want to do anything extensive but supporting her through herbals and food, I can agree with. Her first appointment we got her on some herbals and changed her diet to something that would suit her, and she had been doing much better but the incontinence was draining me to have to clean, or make sure she wears a diaper inside but couldn't while I was out because I didn't want her to get a UTI on top of all this - a lot of thinking that was draining my mental health. Our follow up her urine culture came back negative for any infections, so we decided on some herbals and acupuncture for her incontinence. Two nights in a row now she hasn't had a SOAKED diaper and I am SO grateful. I plan on taking my other pup here once my sick pup is on a routine ❤

This place is phenomenal. When my old Bernie needed to cross to the rainbow bridge last year, they were they for me. They helped him gently and lovingly and it was beautiful. Today, January 13th, 2025, I needed to put down my dog Chesney. He had a mast cell tumor in a complicated location that got way too large - and not to diss other vets, but it wasn’t that large in October when I first took him in for it. I was given a run around of tests and consults and paid soooo much money for just bad news and no treatment.. My husband and I decided that he was only going to get worse, and it would be best for him to cross now... why I didn’t take him to whole pet veterinary when all of the issues first started.. I’ll probably kick myself for it forever. But in the end, this was the vet that made me feel safe and heard. This was the vet that gave my Chesney the best, most gentle last moments. They let me know I was being compassionate, that I was making the right decision, and overall just made me feel better for such a difficult situation. I don’t want any pets for a long time now.. but whenever I do decide to bring in a new family member, this vet has my heart. I won’t recommend anywhere else.

This place is great. They believe in alternative medicine. Meaning that the Dr. Doctors do not just give the traditional drugs that within a year your animal will be dead. I took one of my dogs there when she started having seizures. Her old vet gave me three drug options that were all bad and would lead to her organs shutting down probably within a year. I happened to go into Whole Pet Veterinary Hospital at Mt. Island and met Dr. Khare. She actually is one of only two vet’s in Charlotte that I know have been trained in specialized alternative medicine. She was trained not only here in the United States but also in China. They do acupuncture.and laser therapy at all their locations. They also do water therapy at the Mt.Island location because I have watched the animals. My sisters dog does water therapy somewhere else and the benefits are amazing. My dog who doesn’t have seizures anymore since meeting Dr. Khare started with acupuncture but she didn’t really like it. She does laser therapy now. And both her and i enjoy it. Dr. Khare worked out a medical plan for her that has kept her healthy and enjoying life for over three years. Not the 6-8 months I was originally given by my old vet. She just celebrated her 16th birthday. My other dog who was a rescue from the ASPCA has so much baggage. But he doesn’t mind going to support his forever sister at the vet. Therefore, when I took him the other day for himself he let Dr. Khare do anything she wanted to him. I have been to the following locations and received wonderful care at all three so I’m giving them all a 5. The Mt.Holly Huntersville Rd. , Davidson, and the one in Pineville/South Charlotte. They are all wonderful with great people. The receptionists, technicians, the person who answers the phone and all the doctors. I have had them all over the years and can not say how happy I am I found them. I have never been to the Lake Norman office.*****. After reading the review called truthful. I have to comment. My last vet killed my dog. They gave him a shot and missed his vein. The medicine went directly to his heart. He got the shot at 3:00pm and had a massive heart attack at 5:30pm at the emergency vet. So count yourself lucky. It sounds like they did what they could. At least they didn’t kill him!! Like my last vet did to my perfectly healthy dog.
