We have seen Dr. Mulch, Dr. Aubrey, and Dr.Wood and never a bad thing to say. They all listen throughly to my concerns and make sure I leave feeling confident in what we discussed. Mulch is also an animal chiropractor and my dogs thank him for always having their backs!!! 🤪 I also can not thank the Vet Techs here enough for always going above and beyond for my babies. They are truly unmatched.

Whitehaven Veterinary Center Pets and Pigs Introduce

Welcome to the introduction of Whitehaven Veterinary Center Pets and Pigs, a local establishment categorized under 'Pet Hospital'. Located at 5320 Belle Ave, Davenport, IA 52807, USA, they can be reached by phone at (563) 386-9680 or mobile at +1 563-386-9680. The name itself, "Pets and Pigs," suggests a broader scope of animal care than some traditional pet hospitals, potentially including services for non-traditional pets like pigs and exotic animals. To provide an objective view, we've compiled information from the provided customer reviews.

The customer reviews for Whitehaven Veterinary Center Pets and Pigs are overwhelmingly positive, highlighting several key aspects of their care. One reviewer with dogs praises multiple veterinarians – Dr. Mulch, Dr. Aubrey, and Dr. Wood – noting that they all "listen thoroughly" to concerns and ensure the owner leaves feeling confident. Notably, this reviewer mentions that Dr. Mulch is also an animal chiropractor, a unique service that their dogs apparently benefit from greatly. The reviewer also expresses immense gratitude for the veterinary technicians, describing them as "unmatched" and consistently going "above and beyond." This suggests a highly competent and caring support staff.

Another reviewer shares their positive experiences bringing their rats to see Dr. Snyder, emphasizing Whitehaven's expertise with exotic animals. They appreciate the understanding shown regarding the shorter lifespans of rodents and the sensitive approach to end-of-life care, particularly euthanasia. This reviewer found the euthanasia process at Whitehaven to be the "easiest one" they've experienced due to the sweetness of the staff (specifically mentioning Caitlin and Brooke) and the comforting procedure that allowed them to hold their pet as she passed. This level of compassion during a difficult time is a significant feature. The reviewer also notes that the prices are "decent," especially for exotic animal care, and that the entire staff, including reception, are always in good spirits and sensitive. Dr. Snyder is also commended for being willing to discuss different treatment options and associated risks.

A particularly touching detail from the second review is the mention of clay paw prints made by a vet tech, Caitlin, for the owner after the euthanasia of their rat. This "small thing" is described as deeply meaningful and indicative of the care and empathy shown by the staff during a hard day.

Based on these reviews, the features of Whitehaven Veterinary Center Pets and Pigs include a team of knowledgeable and attentive veterinarians (Dr. Mulch with animal chiropractic skills, Dr. Aubrey, Dr. Wood, and Dr. Snyder who specializes in exotics), highly competent and caring veterinary technicians, a sensitive and compassionate approach to end-of-life care, and a friendly and helpful reception staff. Their willingness to care for a variety of animals, including dogs, and exotic pets like rats (and the name suggests pigs), is also a significant feature.

As a Pet Hospital, Whitehaven Veterinary Center Pets and Pigs likely offers a broad range of services. For traditional pets like dogs, this would include routine wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite prevention, and treatment for illnesses and injuries. The mention of animal chiropractic by Dr. Mulch indicates an additional therapeutic service. For exotic animals, the expertise of Dr. Snyder suggests specialized care, including understanding their unique medical needs and providing appropriate treatments, even for end-of-life situations. Given their name, they likely also have the facilities and knowledge to care for pigs, although the reviews don't specifically detail this.

The environment of Whitehaven Veterinary Center Pets and Pigs, as suggested by the reviews, is warm, friendly, and professional. The staff are described as being in "good spirits" and sensitive, creating a positive atmosphere. The ability to provide a comforting euthanasia experience indicates a caring and thoughtful approach to their facilities and procedures. The fact that a vet tech went the extra mile to create a keepsake paw print suggests a personal touch that makes clients feel valued.

I've been to quite a few different exotic vets before coming to Whitehaven and seeing Dr. Snyder for my rat girls. The thing about rats and rodents as a whole is they live pretty short lives and so end of life care is something that comes up pretty quickly and this seems to be something understood when determining the best course of action when I come here. Dr.Snyder and the vet techs I've had, notably Caitlin and Brooke, have been great each time I've come in especially this last time which was unfortunately a euthanasia. It was probably the easiest one I've had to go through with one of my girls just because of how sweet all the staff were and how they conduct the procedure here vs other vets. It was comforting to be able to hold her as she fell asleep vs being apart for the entire procedure as many exotic vets' policy is. Anyways, prices are decent especially for exotic animal care, staff are always in good spirits and sensitive including reception both in person and over the phone. And Dr Snyder is always willing to discuss different options and risks associated with them when I ask. Very nice vet. (Pictures included is the clay paw prints they made for me. It seems like a small thing but seeing the care that Caitlin put into making this for me and my girl Sugar on a hard day meant a lot).

I can not thank these kind, hardworking, individuals here enough. My baby, flop, ate a large amount of sewing thread. She showed no other symptoms other than some puke and tiredness. After a few tests, things seemed inconclusive. Flop declined so we took her back the next day. The doctor found that she had string tied around her tongue and immediately went into emergency surgery. The surgery had many complications and this team stayed till 10pm to make sure she was properly taken care of. Whitehaven has been our go to for years. This will never change. They truly treat your animal like it is their own. THANK YOU!!! I don’t know what else to say. I love all of you❤️

I absolutely love this Vet office! I have taken my dog here for three years and they have been great through every step of her life. All of the staff are amazing and so kind. We see Doctor Snyder, she is our favorite! She is so nice and takes the time to talk through any concerns I have and answers all of my questions. It’s so nice to go somewhere that truly cares for my dog and never rushes anything. I recommend this place to everyone!

This the best collection of vets and care givers I've been to in over 10 years of having cats. I never feel under serviced for my money, I feel like I have a team that really has gotten to know my animals and I've always left with answers and reassurance. I know they love my animals and all animals like their own and deliver service as they would their own. Highly recommended
