White Oak Veterinary Urgent Care

Took my dog in with cysts between toes. My Vet for 2 days had no openings. The staff were wonderful. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Treated my dog and we came home with meds. He is already close to normal again! I highly recommend!! Thank you to the whole staff.

Our little friend wasn’t doing well and unfortunately had to cross over to Valhalla without notice. Staff and clinic were top notch in candor and care for my wife and me. The process was beautiful and pain free as much as possible. Highly recommend this establishment.

Thank you to the great staff and Vet for helping my little Jack Russel with his eye injury! Everyone was very caring, helpful and I was able to get care quickly and efficiently. Beautiful office, easy location and there when you really need help!

They took amazing care of my dog during a stressful situation. The staff was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and compassionate, putting both me and my pet at ease. The wait times were surprisingly short for an emergency clinic, and their services were very affordable compared to others. I’m so grateful for their excellent care and would trust them with any future emergencies!

I cannot thank the staff at White Oak veterinary urgent care center in La Plata enough. This past Sunday, January 19, 2025 my Moses, who was suffering from mega esophagus, took a turn for the worse. He had lost his balance, began vomiting and literally laid down in the snow and refused to move. It was time for us to let him go, and I made the call to see if the hospital could assist me. Due to the impending weather, the clinic was going to close early, but once the customer care representative heard my story and guided me through my tears, the vet said that she will wait for us and they did just that. They had a nicely prepared room for me and my three kids, and they guided us through the procedures and let us know everything that was going to happen. Their empathy and humanity and compassion was so much appreciated. I could not have been blessed with a better facility to handle the worst moment of my families life. There is a special place in heaven for all dogs and there is a special place for caretakers who know how to comfort and show empathy. I strongly suggest this facility for any of your pet’s needs. I had a very unfortunate incident with my 3 year old child and our puppy at home. Devastated, distraught, & hysterically crying I brought my puppy here for help bc they were the closest to me. Paid $1,700 to SAVE HIM bc I LOVE HIM. The $1,700 was for oxygen, fluids, and heating pad for the day. He progressed, but still had some time to go. They wanted me to take him to a 24/7 facility in Annapolis when they closed, which would've been another $4-$8K. I declined bc I couldn't afford that much more money, and he had made improvement. So I brought him home when they closed & THEY CALLED ANIMAL CONTROL ON ME!!!!!!! After my daughter looked at their reviews we realized we aren't the only people they've done this to. Its crazy to me that they think people who pay thousands of dollars to SAVE their dog are intentionally abusing them, or not giving them proper care. Also, animal control pointed out to me that they should have given us pain meds for him, and they did not. Highly recommend finding a different vet.
