I went here to get my dog spayed. They were the most affordable. The appointment set up was very easy. Dr was very kind and informative. The location is difficult to get into and the parking is limited but we arrived first thing in the morning and was seen right away. Very pleased with our visit.

Welcome to Westside Animal Hospital Inc.
Located at 42052 50th St W, Quartz Hill, CA 93536, USA, Westside Animal Hospital Inc. offers veterinary services to the local community. The clinic can be reached by phone at (661) 943-0303 or via mobile at +1 661-943-0303. While specific operating hours are not extensively detailed online, a common practice for veterinary clinics is to operate during standard business hours, often with limited or no weekend hours.
Based on customer feedback, the physical environment of Westside Animal Hospital Inc. presents some considerations regarding accessibility and parking. One reviewer noted that the "location is difficult to get into and the parking is limited." This is an important point for new visitors to be aware of, especially if arriving during peak hours. However, the same reviewer also mentioned that arriving "first thing in the morning" allowed them to be "seen right away," suggesting that strategic timing can mitigate potential inconveniences related to access and parking.
The overall atmosphere within the clinic, as perceived by clients, appears to be a mixed experience. One positive review highlighted that the "Dr was very kind and informative," and the appointment setup was "very easy," contributing to a "very pleased" visit. This indicates that for some, the interaction with staff and the efficiency of the process can be positive. However, it's essential to consider all feedback to form a complete picture of the environment.
While a comprehensive list of all veterinary services offered by Westside Animal Hospital Inc. is not widely publicized, based on the available customer reviews, certain services are confirmed or implied:
- Spaying and Neutering: A key service mentioned explicitly by a satisfied customer is spaying. This indicates that the hospital provides common surgical procedures essential for pet health and population control. The reviewer noted that the spay service was "the most affordable" they found, suggesting competitive pricing for this procedure.
- General Consultations/Examinations: The nature of veterinary practice suggests that general consultations and examinations are a core service. However, one critical review raised concerns about the depth of examination, stating, "He never even examined our dog" during a consultation for a sick animal. This particular feedback highlights a potential inconsistency in the thoroughness of examinations from one experience to another.
- Medical Advice and Diagnosis: Veterinarians provide advice on pet health and work towards diagnosing illnesses. The reviews suggest that advice is given, though the manner and helpfulness of that advice can vary.
Given that it is a "Pet Hospital," it is reasonable to infer that Westside Animal Hospital Inc. would typically offer other fundamental veterinary services, which commonly include:
- Vaccinations: Essential for preventing common pet diseases.
- Preventative Care: Routine check-ups to maintain overall pet health.
- Basic Diagnostic Services: Such as blood tests, although the extent of on-site diagnostic capabilities (like X-rays or ultrasound) is not specified.
- Treatment for Common Ailments: Addressing various health issues, from infections to minor injuries.
However, without direct confirmation from the clinic's official channels, these inferred services remain assumptions based on typical veterinary practice.
Customer experiences with Westside Animal Hospital Inc. present a dichotomy, with both positive and negative feedback regarding key features of their service.
Affordability: A notable positive feature mentioned is the affordability of services. One client explicitly stated that the spay procedure for their dog was "the most affordable" they encountered, indicating that the clinic may be a budget-friendly option for certain procedures.
Ease of Appointment Setup: Another positive aspect highlighted is the simplicity of scheduling appointments, described as "very easy." This suggests an efficient administrative process for initial bookings.
Mixed Professionalism and Compassion: This is where the reviews diverge significantly. One client praised the "Dr was very kind and informative" and expressed being "very pleased with our visit." This suggests a positive and helpful interaction. Conversely, another review describes the "Vet" as "unprofessional, condescending, and incompetent." This highly critical feedback stems from an experience where the reviewer felt blamed for their dog's illness, that the vet "never even examined our dog," and was more focused on proving a point than offering real help. This stark contrast in experiences points to potential inconsistencies in patient care or client communication.
Communication Style: While one review found the doctor "informative," the negative review heavily criticized the communication, calling it "constantly condescending and rude during the entire 'consultation'." This indicates that the communication style of some practitioners at the clinic might not resonate positively with all clients, potentially leading to frustration and a feeling of being unheard or judged.
Thoroughness of Examination: A major point of contention in the negative review was the perceived lack of a proper examination for a sick dog. This raises concerns about the clinic's standard procedures for assessing ailing animals, at least in that specific instance.
While no explicit promotional campaigns or discount programs for Westside Animal Hospital Inc. are available in the provided information, the clinic is clearly perceived as an affordable option for certain services, particularly spaying. The mention of "the most affordable" suggests that cost-effectiveness is a key characteristic of their pricing structure.
Regarding pricing transparency, the critical review mentioned being "charged 60$ for a 'consultation'," implying that fees are charged for initial visits, even if the client feels the consultation was not helpful. This is standard practice in veterinary medicine, where time and professional advice incur a fee. However, the context of the review suggests dissatisfaction with the value received for that fee.
As with most veterinary practices, it is advisable for potential clients to call ahead and inquire about specific service costs and to confirm what an initial consultation fee covers. Given the mixed reviews on client experience, potential clients might benefit from asking questions about the typical consultation process, including the extent of physical examination for sick pets, before scheduling an appointment.
In summary, Westside Animal Hospital Inc. appears to offer competitively priced veterinary services, especially for routine procedures like spaying, and some clients have reported positive experiences with kind and informative staff. However, potential clients should be aware of possible limitations in parking and consider the mixed feedback regarding the thoroughness of examinations and the professionalism of certain interactions, ensuring their expectations align with the type of care they seek for their beloved pets.

Apr 04, 2025 · Philip HerreraThe “Vet” here is unprofessional, condescending, and incompetent. My dog had been sick for days and not eating, and all the vet wanted to do was tell us that it’s all our fault because we “let him” get into something he shouldn’t have. He never even examined our dog. Constantly condescending and rude during the entire “consultation”. He was more set on proving his point that we’re bad dog owners than any real help. Every time one of his assumptions about what we do for our dog was wrong he would jump to some other made up point about how this is all our fault. You’re better off waiting for an appt at a real vet than bringing an animal here for anything. Unless you want to be charged 60$ for a “consultation” where a loser tries to make assumptions about you to make up for his incompetence.

Oct 09, 2023 · B CI’m so thankful for this vet! He runs his business with pride, care and concern for the pets and customer. I have been going for the last year after trying many other vets in the valley. He never recommends unnecessary tests, treatments etc. he always takes the time to educate me about my animals condition and explain all his diagnosis and treatment. I’ve been able to be seen almost immediately every time.

Sep 15, 2018 · John Sharon VollrathMila's and Bucky's vet is awesome. He is so nice to them. He takes his time with every dog and he also can let us get in without any appointment when we are concerned about our dogs and or we have a little emergency. He helped me last year to get some medication all the way in WA state. There was a misunderstanding with the medication when he prescribed it but he was so patience on helping us solve the issue so my Mila could continue her eye treatment while we were down in WA for the holidays. I recommended him!

Nov 18, 2019 · Norma W Mtz.New to the area and I was so happy that Dr. Hagos had the time to care for my cat. Very professional and to the point as to what he needed to do to diagnose her problem. He did not make me feel like I was just another $. He explained my choices and we went from there.
