Nov 24, 2024 · DiAnn GrossI suspected my dog was having some tooth troubles, so I brought he in for a pre-exam, and then expected to set a date for a surgery. Sure enough she had a broken tooth that’ll likely need to be extracted. The staff at Westosha Vet was really great, all around, from the person I spoke to on the phone to the Vet techs and doctor, they were very caring and supportive of my dog (and myself haha!). We go back in a week for the operation but I’m confident everything will go smoothly. I went here based on other positive reviews and experiences clients had here, specially around dental cleanings and procedures.
Feb 28, 2025 · Nick ZehnerDanni has been a patient for a number of years and given great care. She will be going back to her vet in Kenosha although it is a distance for me. Two events have made my decision. Dr Juleen gave Danni a prescription of dog food for her stomach. She is the worse picky eater. She eats it occasionally, when l first got it they told me that I could pick it up anytime. A few months later I went in and they gave me attitude, that they didn’t have it to just give out. Order from their pharmacy. When I checked it out, I had to order a whole case of food . 50 dollars. Had attitude on her face. She gave me two can reluctantly, Second event Danni had had breathing problems all weekend. I called in the morning to see if she could see her. I guess they said 11 o’clock. When I got there it was 11:15. She said you were supposed to be here at 11. I said sorry, I thought 11:30, can I wait? Yes but I have to charge you a late fee of $25. I said that was unacceptable. I was really upset because I have spent hundreds of dollars at that office always paying. This was more of an emergency call. I had had a very stressful morning that morning for many reasons. I am close to 80 years old and my memory is not what it was. How many times when you see any doctor you wait patiently knowing they are very busy. They are definitely harming their practice. I have been in the customer service over 70 years. Attitude gets you nowhere. I’ve had my say. Danni has a great vet in Kenosha.
Feb 26, 2025 · Stacy Si klerWe've been bringing our two pups here for about 6 months now for shots, checkups and spay/neuter. We recently had an issue with one of our pups as she got stung by a bee and had a puffy face/eyes. I called and they said to bring her in right away and were willing to look at her. After some observation and treatment, I was able to take her home and all is OK. Overall - everyone here is very nice and enthusiastic about seeing our dogs and taking care of them. We are very confident in their knowledge and ability to treat our dogs now and into the future. Thanks!

After more than 20 years of going to this vet at two locations on Hwy. 50, and never having skipped an appointment and always paying promptly, they now (last few months) want to charge me a $100 "reservation" fee to see my two cats. When I asked about the policy--which they never informed me of via mail, email, text, or phone--the front office said that they needed to collect the fee as a monetary safeguard because of people who didn't show up for their appointments. I have two problems with that. First, I don't appreciate being punished or penalized or inconvenienced or made to feel irresponsible by mistakes other people have made. I have never blown off an appointment. Their policy does allow for your down payment to be subtracted from the final bill, but that leads me to the other problem. Why should I be expected to give them $100 to sit on for 3, 4, 5, 6 weeks or more while I'm waiting for my appointment? I have better things to do with my money than to turn it over to a business when no service has been rendered. When I explained my concerns to the office, they basically told me their hands were tied. Evidently, the practice merged with another and is now part of a corporation, so they can effectively hide behind the excuse that the down payment is a "policy" that they have no control over. So, in an effort to stave off financial losses, they ruin a relationship with a loyal customer (ex) and lose out on earning $300 - $500 from my visit with two cats. Seems very short-sighted to me. I suggested that they take a customer's credit card number, and then if that customer blows off an appointment, charge them at that time. Not weeks or months before being seen. They might want to ask themselves WHY people are blowing off appointments in the first place. Is it because they don't want to be judged for how they raise their pets? Is it because their prices are too high? Is it because people are struggling to put food on the table. Let's see: feed the kids or pay excessively high prices for pet care? Additionally, putting political signs on your business property is a sure-fire way to tick off about half of your clientele, and that's a conservative estimate. Not a good idea. The policies of your endorsed candidates are why people are struggling to put food on the table. Yesterday, I called three other vets in my area. Not one of them requires a deposit/down payment, so I'm done with Westosha Vets. They have no loyalty, so why should I? Unfortunately, for them, I have been telling every pet owner I know about this place and why they might want to avoid it. Your office should be ashamed of yourselves. You're no longer interested in primarily helping pets. It's all about the money.
