Always do a great job with my pet. Aggresive tiny Chihuahua and they were able to get his shots in and clip his nails with ZERO issues. They also helped my blind Husky who was attacked by vicious dogs and saved her life along with following up to remediate a possible infection to the wounds. The staff loves being there and always treats us with respect. If you were treated otherwise maybe you should look inwards towards your tone with people and dont look to receive free services anywhere. They were decently priced but any money paid towards a happy and healthy pet is worth their weight in gold.

I took our new cat to Westbury Animal Hospital after he got sick and I saw a strand of nylon from his worm toy in it. Since I didn't know how much he'd ingested, I took him in. It was a long wait, but since he was acting normally we didn't mind waiting for them to take care of more critical animals. The performed an x-ray and, when it wasn't perfectly clear, asked us to go home, fast, and bring him back the next day. I was very pleased with the way they handled our case, as I wanted to be 100% confident that he was clear. Hopefully I never need urgently care for a cat again, but if I do, at least now I know where to go.

The doctors and staff truly deliver compassionate care. For years, Dr. Watkins has helped to deliver practical and compassionate care for our dog. Today, Dr. Phi, whom I just met, helped me to navigate through a very difficult decision. Many times, we had boarded our dog, and have always had peace of mind in doing so. Thank you Westbury Animal Hospital.

This place sucks. I took my dog in for an emergency procedure in January because her spay surgery stitches were coming undone. I go, they take my dog in, and apply more glue (I think this actually prolonged her healing because the wound would bleed again, dry up, and bleed again a few times.) I asked if I would have to pay for this and the staff said no. I checked the portal and I have a charge, then on a Monday in February, I got a mail notice. I call to confirm and tell the staff what I was told when I took my dog in. Then there’s this annoying back and forth until now, and it’s now March. It’s not about the money, I am willing to pay, but I have been a customer here for years and I have not gotten this experience of malpractice and horrible communication before. I was told I’d get calls back and I never got a call from this place. Can you let me know if I have to pay the charges that are due or will you be dismissing the charge? Don’t bring your pets here for emergencies—they’ll screw you and your credit. I am never coming back here. I urge others to do the same. UPDATE: I got a lengthy explanation from Jeff on why the charges were not ready, why I got a mail notice after NOT receiving an email invoice, and other “factors” that contribute to “miscommunication.” The doctor also went on and on rather than letting me, the customer, speak on what happened. There are better animal hospitals, veterinarians, and vet staff. DO NOT come here for emergencies or medical care for your pets unless you want the worst service. Did I mention how they worsened the stitches and prolonged the healing? Ooh also, forgot to mention that I’m still paying the charges when they “miscommunicated” that to me. Insanity and madness. You guys SUCK.

I first called Westbury Animal Hospital and spoke to a customer service representative. She was so calm and friendly that it helped me relax. The following week my cat, Olive, ended up being very sickly. I took her to the ER clinic since it was a Sunday morning. There was no wait at all. They immediately put us in an exam room. They first took my cat to do some vitals. Before they continued, they explained that my cat probably had neurological issues that could require bigger equipment like an MRI that they did not have at their clinic. They did not want me to pay for the visit here just to have to go to another clinic and pay the fee again. So very thoughtful of them. I ended up not going for the MRI. After they finished the exam, they explained all my options. Eventually we opted to put my cat to sleep. They then moved us to a very comfortable room with a couch and tissues, where we could have some extra privacy and stay a little longer. We got to cuddle with kitty and got to let them know when we were ready to proceed. Everyone was so knowledgeable, patient, calm, polite, understanding, and friendly – especially Dr. Geistert. It ended up being a very special moment for me and my cat. A few days later I got a sympathy card in the mail from the clinic with a handwritten note by Dr. Geistert. What a very special and personal touch in our very face paced world. All their kindness has been noticed and will go a long way. When I am ready to get another pet, I will for sure use this clinic for my regular vet needs from now on. Thank you so much for taking such great care of my cat, Olive, and me.
