We went in to unfortunately put our dog down due to old age and other health reasons. We waited over 30 minutes past our appointment time until we were seen by the Dr. I understand giving families time with their animal, but also it can be worst for them to wait too (it was in our situation because our dog gets anxious at the vet). When Dr. Paige came into the room she could barely walk and said her equilibrium had been off from being sick. I understand you can’t control your illness, but that does not bring someone comfort when they are with their last moments with their animal. It brought more anxiety to the situation at hand. Her hands were shaking when doing the injection. If you are not feeling well you should not be working and should reschedule things if needed, this was not an emergent situation. I had to keep asking what was going on during the process because she was not explaining anything. I even had to ask if he was feeling any pain because she did not say. She had to get more “solution” to complete the process because his veins kept blowing. I know that is not her fault but some explanation during it would have been appreciated. I felt like there was no empathy from Dr. Paige. As our family was crying while she shaved his fur to get being access she said “you have some really thick fur” it seemed like an inappropriate comment to make at the time. It was not sympathetic to the individuals crying over saying goodbye to their dog. Once the process was over, my family member moved our dog’s leg so that it seemed comfortable. It never felt like Dr. Paige was concerned about his comfort. This seemed like something she just needed to do today. Our dog deserved better than what he got. Correction, ANY dog deserves better than what we experienced today and so does the family experiencing it. The rest of her staff were kind throughout, but they weren’t the ones conducting the end of life process. We have other animals we bring here but will be looking for another vet as soon as possible. I will not be recommending this office to anyone.

Features of a veterinary clinic often include the expertise and compassion of the veterinary staff, the availability of necessary medical equipment, and a commitment to providing quality care. However, the provided customer reviews offer mixed perspectives on the experience at West Milton Veterinary Clinic.

One review details a deeply negative experience during the difficult process of euthanizing a dog. The reviewer mentions a significant wait time, discomfort with the attending veterinarian's physical condition and demeanor, a perceived lack of empathy, and insufficient communication during the procedure. This account raises serious concerns about the quality of care and the sensitivity shown during a particularly emotional time for pet owners.

Conversely, another reviewer specifically praises the kindness and welcoming nature of the front desk staff, awarding them a 5-star rating. However, this positive aspect was overshadowed by a negative interaction with another staff member during a drop-off appointment. The reviewer felt their questions were met with impatience and a condescending attitude, leading them to reconsider future veterinary care for their cat at this clinic despite spending $258.00 during the visit.

These reviews highlight a potential inconsistency in the customer experience at West Milton Veterinary Clinic. While the front desk staff is acknowledged for their positive interactions, concerns are raised regarding the empathy, communication, and professionalism of at least some of the medical staff, particularly during sensitive procedures and routine inquiries.

Currently, there is no promotional information available for West Milton Veterinary Clinic based on the provided data. Veterinary clinics sometimes offer promotions such as discounts on first visits, vaccination packages, or seasonal specials. Local pet owners interested in learning about any potential promotions or special offers should contact the clinic directly.

In conclusion, West Milton Veterinary Clinic in West Milton, Ohio, provides veterinary care services for local pets. While the front desk staff has been commended for their kindness, the limited customer feedback reveals significant concerns regarding the empathy, communication, and professionalism experienced during medical procedures and routine interactions. These accounts suggest a potential need for improvement in certain aspects of patient and client care. Local pet owners considering West Milton Veterinary Clinic for their pet's health needs should weigh these experiences alongside their own priorities and potentially seek further information or clarification from the clinic directly to make an informed decision.

I want to start by saying that the ladies at the front desk are incredibly kind and welcoming—they truly deserve 5 stars. Unfortunately, our experience took a turn when a woman came into the room during our drop-off. We had questions about the procedure and the shots, but she made us feel like we were a burden. Her demeanor while answering our questions suggested she expected us to already know everything, as if we were trained professionals at the vet. Given that I spent $258.00 during this visit and felt treated poorly, I’m seriously considering finding a different vet for our cat.

Have been going to Dr Paige for a long time - our 8 rescues have gone there and the three we currently have are patients. She has taken wonderful care of all of our dogs - especially compassionate when we had to say goodbye to the rescues we had. Wouldn’t take our dogs anywhere else ♥️

Dr Paige has been amazing with my animals. Her and the staff always go above and beyond even in emergency situations. They are very welcoming and you can tell all the ladies on the staff care.

My vet, Dr. Paige and her staff are wonderful! They have cared for my animals for so many years, I've lost count. Throughout the years, no one has ever exhibited insensitive or uncaring behavior towards my pets or me. I would have found another vet had that happened. I appreciate Dr. Paige's honestly when I struggle to make the right choice. She never tells me what to do, but lays it out in a way that helps me to make the decision that's right for my pet, not me. For that I'm extremely grateful. Another reason I stay is how they have treated my beloved fur babies when it's time for them to cross over Rainbow Bridge. To see my vet and staff with tears in they're eyes speaks volumes and I am so grateful to have them caring them for all of these years. I can't thank them enough.
