Dr. Weeth personally came out to my car to meet my dog Daisy Mae and me. She thoroughly reviewed Daisy Mae’s medical records and spent a lot of time explaining to me why she requires a diet that is very low In fat and high in protein. She is a good listener and is very smart and thorough. I highly recommend her if you need a veterinary nutritionist.

Welcome to Weeth Nutrition Services

For pet owners in Los Angeles seeking specialized dietary guidance for their beloved companions, Weeth Nutrition Services presents a dedicated option within the "Pet Hospital" category. Located at 6565 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90038, USA, this practice primarily focuses on veterinary nutrition, offering expert advice and tailored dietary plans for animals with specific health needs. While traditional veterinary hospitals often provide general medical care, Weeth Nutrition Services carves out a niche by concentrating solely on the critical role of diet in animal health and disease management.

The core of Weeth Nutrition Services revolves around the expertise of a veterinary nutritionist. This specialization is crucial for pets facing conditions that can be managed or improved through precise dietary adjustments, such as kidney disease, pancreatitis, allergies, obesity, or specific metabolic disorders. The approach is often highly individualized, moving beyond generic commercial pet food recommendations to create bespoke meal plans that address each animal's unique physiological requirements and medical history.

Environment and Consultation Process

Based on the location at 6565 Santa Monica Blvd, the facility is situated in a bustling part of Los Angeles. While specific details about the interior environment are not widely available, one customer review highlights a unique aspect of the consultation process: Dr. Weeth personally coming out to the car to meet a dog and their owner. This suggests a personalized and potentially accommodating approach, especially for pets who might be anxious in a traditional clinic setting or for owners with mobility challenges. Such an approach can significantly enhance the comfort level for both the pet and the owner, fostering a more relaxed and productive consultation. It indicates a focus on individual attention rather than a high-volume, impersonal clinic setting.

The consultation itself appears to be thorough, involving a detailed review of the pet's medical records. As noted in a customer testimonial, "She thoroughly reviewed Daisy Mae’s medical records and spent a lot of time explaining to me why she requires a diet that is very low in fat and high in protein." This emphasizes the educational aspect of their service, where pet owners are not just given a diet plan but are also provided with a comprehensive understanding of the rationale behind it. This empowers owners to better manage their pet's health long-term.

Services and Features

The primary service offered by Weeth Nutrition Services is veterinary nutritional consultation. This includes, but is not limited to, the assessment of a pet's current diet, identification of nutritional deficiencies or excesses, and the formulation of customized diet plans. These plans can involve home-cooked diets, recommendations for specific commercial foods, or a combination thereof, all designed to support the pet's overall health or manage specific medical conditions. The emphasis is on precise nutrient balance, calorie control, and the inclusion of appropriate ingredients to optimize health outcomes. The service is highly specialized, catering to complex cases where general dietary advice might not suffice.

A key feature of such a specialized service is the depth of expertise. A veterinary nutritionist possesses advanced training in animal physiology, metabolism, and the nutritional requirements of various species and life stages. This allows for the creation of diets that are not only effective but also safe and palatable for the pet. The ability to listen and thoroughly explain complex concepts, as highlighted by a satisfied customer, points to a strong client education component, which is vital for compliance and successful dietary management.

Customer Feedback and Considerations

Customer reviews offer valuable insights into the practice. One highly positive review praises Dr. Weeth for her thoroughness, intelligence, and excellent listening skills, particularly recommending her for anyone needing a veterinary nutritionist. This speaks to the high quality of the specialized service provided and the positive impact on pets' health.

However, another review highlights a significant concern regarding the delivery of diet plans and refunds. This customer reported paying a substantial amount for a diet plan that was not delivered within the promised timeframe, leading to prolonged communication issues and only a partial refund after considerable effort. This feedback suggests that while the clinical expertise might be strong, there could be occasional challenges with administrative processes or follow-through on promised deliverables. Potential clients should be aware of such feedback and might consider clarifying timelines and refund policies upfront during their initial inquiries.

Promotional Information and Accessibility

While specific current promotional offers are not available through general internet information, the very nature of a specialized nutrition service acts as its own promotion. Pet owners seeking this specific expertise are typically those whose pets have ongoing health challenges or complex dietary needs that cannot be met by standard veterinary care. The phone number (855) 350-7387 (also listed as +1 855-350-7387) serves as the primary point of contact for inquiries and scheduling appointments. This centralized number suggests a streamlined communication system for clients across various locations, reinforcing the idea that it is a specialized service accessible to a broader clientele beyond just the immediate vicinity of Santa Monica Blvd.

In summary, Weeth Nutrition Services, positioned within the Pet Hospital category, offers highly specialized veterinary nutritional consultations in Los Angeles. Their focus on individualized diet plans for pets with specific health conditions, coupled with a potentially personalized consultation approach, makes them a valuable resource for owners. While positive feedback emphasizes the clinical expertise and thoroughness, potential clients should be mindful of reported administrative challenges regarding diet plan delivery and refunds, and perhaps discuss these aspects during their initial contact. This practice fills a crucial gap in comprehensive pet care by providing in-depth dietary solutions that can significantly improve the quality of life for many animals.

I do not recommend. I took my two dogs to consultation with Dr. Weeth. In the form they gave me, it was written that the diet would be delivered in two months. In total I paid almost a thousand dollars. After five months I still hadn't received the diet. After many emails and phone fights i get a small part refunded.

I had such high hopes when I reached out to Dr. Weeth as I very much needed help for my pet and her service was the only one of its kind in the area. It has been 3 months and $650 later and not only have I not received the final diet with recipe and recommendations as promised, I have not even received a TRIAL DIET or had a single one of my questions answered. The lovely woman who initially helped me and was so responsive has been replaced by someone who is unknowledgeable and who deliberately misstates what was agreed to, in writing, at the outset. No one has ever reached out to explain why the delay or to apologize. They are unprofessional and untrustworthy and I caution anyone from wasting their time and money.
