Our Rambo got a cut that wouldn’t stop bleeding on the bottom of his paw. Dr. Hendrickson got us in right away and helped get it wrapped up and got his vaccines updated too. Our sweet boy was so scared but he was GREAT with him. Highly recommend. Thank you all for getting our boy in right away and helping him ❤️

Wayside Veterinary Clinic Introduce

Welcome to the introduction of Wayside Veterinary Clinic, a pet hospital located in Rossville, Indiana, serving the local community from its address at 52 E Main St, Rossville, IN 46065, USA. Wayside Veterinary Clinic can be contacted at (765) 379-2226 or +1 765-379-2226 for inquiries about their veterinary services and to schedule appointments for your animal companions. As a local pet hospital, they aim to provide medical care for the health and well-being of pets in the area.

Customer feedback regarding Wayside Veterinary Clinic presents contrasting experiences. One pet owner shared a positive account of the clinic's responsiveness in an urgent situation. They described how Dr. Hendrickson accommodated their dog, Rambo, who had a bleeding paw injury, by seeing him "right away." The clinic not only addressed the immediate issue by wrapping the paw but also updated Rambo's vaccinations during the same visit. The reviewer noted that their dog was scared but that Dr. Hendrickson was "GREAT with him," emphasizing a positive interaction and gentle handling of their pet. They concluded by highly recommending Wayside Veterinary Clinic and expressing gratitude for the prompt and helpful care their dog received.

In contrast, another customer reported a highly negative experience with Wayside Veterinary Clinic. This reviewer expressed extreme dissatisfaction with the clinic's billing practices, alleging that the final cost of services was double the amount they were quoted prior to the appointment. They specifically mentioned unexpected charges, including an unrequested X-ray, and discrepancies in the cost of blood draws and a re-check-up fee. The customer stated that they had spent over $600 in just four days for these services. A significant point of contention was the alleged lack of transparency in pricing and a feeling of not being listened to regarding the services provided. The reviewer also mentioned having brought five animals to the clinic previously but vowed to never spend another dime there due to this experience, labeling the charges as "sneaky" and the practice as "totally unprofessional."

Furthermore, this negative review included a serious concern about the medical care provided. The pet owner stated that their 7-pound Pomeranian mix had a dislocated hip for five days, and the only recommended option was an FHO surgery costing an additional $2000, because the veterinarian "refused to put her hip in." This raises concerns about the immediate treatment provided and the communication regarding available options.

Given these conflicting reviews, it is challenging to provide a definitive description of the environment, services, and features of Wayside Veterinary Clinic. The positive feedback highlights the clinic's ability to respond quickly to urgent situations and the gentle and caring nature of at least one of their veterinarians, Dr. Hendrickson. This suggests a clinic that values timely intervention and compassionate animal handling in certain cases.

However, the negative review paints a concerning picture of the clinic's billing transparency and communication practices. The allegations of unexpected charges and a significant discrepancy between quoted and final costs are serious issues that potential clients should consider. Additionally, the concerns raised about the handling of the dislocated hip and the communication surrounding treatment options are noteworthy.

Without a comprehensive list of services offered by Wayside Veterinary Clinic, we can infer that, as a pet hospital, they likely provide a range of veterinary care. This typically includes emergency services (as indicated by the prompt care for the injured paw), routine check-ups, vaccinations, diagnostic services (including X-rays and blood draws mentioned in the reviews), and treatment for illnesses and injuries. The reference to a potential surgical procedure (FHO surgery) suggests that they may also offer surgical services.

The environment of the clinic is not explicitly described in the reviews, although the positive mention of Dr. Hendrickson's interaction with a scared dog implies a calm and reassuring examination process in at least some instances. The negative review does not comment on the physical environment but focuses on billing and perceived lack of appropriate medical intervention.

Specific features of Wayside Veterinary Clinic, such as the availability of advanced medical equipment, in-house laboratory services, or specialized consultation rooms, are not mentioned in the provided feedback. The contrasting experiences suggest that the quality of service and communication may vary.

There is no promotional information available for Wayside Veterinary Clinic in the provided text. Pet hospitals sometimes offer introductory discounts for new clients or special offers on certain services. To learn about any current promotions at Wayside Veterinary Clinic, it would be best to contact them directly.

In conclusion, Wayside Veterinary Clinic in Rossville, Indiana, has received both positive feedback regarding their responsiveness in emergencies and the gentle care provided by at least one veterinarian, as well as serious negative feedback concerning billing transparency, communication, and perceived medical management in a specific case. Prospective clients should carefully consider these contrasting experiences when making decisions about their pet's veterinary care. It is recommended to contact Wayside Veterinary Clinic directly at (765) 379-2226 to inquire about their services, pricing policies, and to address any concerns you may have based on the available feedback. It may also be beneficial to seek additional opinions or information before entrusting the care of your beloved animals to this clinic.

Transparency in pricing and clear communication are essential in building trust between a pet hospital and its clients. Addressing the concerns raised in the negative review regarding billing practices and medical management is crucial for Wayside Veterinary Clinic to maintain a positive reputation within the local community.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Never have I gone to a place of service where you get told prior to making the appointment the cost of what you need and then they slide in other charges and double the actual told amount. I will never spend another dime here. Spent over 600 in just a 4 days for just 2 x-rays one of which was not asked for, checkup and re check up fee of which the later was told was going to be part of charge prior to bringing her in, and blood draws that cost over 225 and was told it would be less than 180. Overall, my question is why the sneaky charges and not listening to customer? We've brought you all 5 of our animals and this is just absurd and totally unprofessional. By the way my animal in question is a 7lbs pomeranian mix and now because her hip has been dislocated for 5 days her only option is an FHO surgery. Another 2k bc he refused to put her hip in.

We love this Vet, they take great care of our Labradoodle and they’re really good about notifying you when Maggie is due for yearly shots or vaccines, which we really appreciate. We will continue to recommend this Vet to our friends and family!

They were able to diagnose the issue my little friend was having in regards to her inability to keep food down, prescribe gastro friendly food that she is tolerating well, and improve her quality of life so much! I have decided to continue her routine care with Wayside, the staff is friendly and easy to deal with, and I know my best friend. Bitsy will be getting the best care possible!

Excellent service for my puppy & dog. They've neutered my potbelly pig, did lab work for my goats and answered all sorts of questions over the phone. They're about a 20-30 min drive from me but we don't mind. Prices are reasonable.
