I've been a client.. or my pets have... at WCAH since some time in 2013 or 2014. Dr. Andersen was our primary vet initially, and the quality of care and concern he showed for my pets was heartwarming. He made sure to give us options when things were good and bad, he tried everything to keep my pets healthy. We moved away for a while and came back 2 years ago, this time Dr. Josh is our primary. Previous vets dismissed my concerns (apparently clicky joints and wheezing is normal in cats?!) but I decided that I had to ask again because it seemed like my Princess Beans was moving less and less as her clicking got worse... Turns out she has arthritis and my other cat that wheezes has asthma. Dr. Josh took our concerns and testimony about their behaviors to heart and gave us several avenues to pursue. In the end he recommended the least costly to start, and see how they improved. This clinic is not in it for the money. They want your animals to be healthy and will tell you if things are available over the counter, knowing that cost and availability are barriers to pet care. Beans improved drastically over the last year, and while we keep the knowledge of the higher end treatments in our pocket, as she ages, they weren't necessary yet. Logan, my asthmatic guy, is just starting his treatment, but I have confidence that Dr. Josh and WCAH will work with us for the best treatment options. I recommend WCAH to all my friends.

Nov 08, 2024 · Nikki SmithWe took my cat Simon to Waugh Chapel Animal Hospital for an emergency that led to a very serious surgery and 10 days in the hospital. The entire staff was amazing and supportive during this time and after we took him home. They gave Simon a ton of love while he was there and kept us up to date almost daily.
May 20, 2024 · Lauren GalloDr. Scott Andersen was so kind when my son and I were there with his dog. The news we received wasn't good, and the doctor spent extra time with us explaining what was wrong and how much time we may have left. While the news was hard to hear, it was greatly appreciated so that we can prepare. Thank you so very much Dr. Andersen.
Jan 27, 2025 · Debbie WoodfieldDon't bother calling if you have an issue that needs to be addressed in a timely manner. It's one thing to not have appointments available, it's another thing to have the office rush through your phone call and have little concern for you or your pet. If you're looking for someone with a bit of empathy, look elsewhere. In response to owner who responded to my review. If I am calling as soon as you are open for business, looking for an appointment as soon as possible, it's probably because there is a significant issue. I genuinely don't need an attitude from Katie when I mention that my cat is not social. She certainly made it seem like she was a) not happy to be at work, b) not really interested in helping me. And just to be clear, you did not offer me an appointment. You offered me to drop off my pet and a doctor would see him at some point during the day. And you said "the pet has to be here by 8:30." So, No, you did not offer an appointment. Long story short. Yes, you did offer me a service. It was analogous to a mechanic saying "drop your car off and we'll get to it sometime today." Needless to say, I care about my cat a whole lot more than my car. And I doubt I am the only one. So, if you are someone who cares about your pet and doesn't want to deal with someone who will treat you as if that pet isn't important, than I stand by my review "If you're looking for someone with a bit of empathy, look elsewhere." But you know, it's probably me. Just check all the negative reviews I have posted online in the past! I must make it a habit to go out of my way to put negative reviews online! Oh wait, you checked. It's not a habit of mine.
Aug 19, 2024 · Andrew HuntDr. Andersen and his staff are simply AMAZING! I recently took my bulldog, Rocky, to get a much needed tail amputation due to reoccurring tail pocket infections. The process from start to finish has been flawless and professional. Everyone is very knowledgeable, friendly, caring, and compassionate. I cannot say enough good things about this animal hospital. THANK YOU for taking extra special care of my boy!
