Water's Edge Veterinary Hospital offers a comprehensive suite of veterinary services, encompassing everything from routine preventative care to advanced diagnostics and complex medical and surgical interventions. Their foundational service is annual physicals and comprehensive wellness exams, which are crucial for the early detection and prevention of diseases. These routine check-ups are essential for maintaining optimal health throughout a pet's life. Vaccination programs are customized to each pet's lifestyle and risk factors, providing protection against prevalent infectious diseases. Effective parasite control strategies, including deworming and prevention of fleas, ticks, and heartworm, are also integral to their preventative care offerings.
The diagnostic capabilities at Water's Edge Veterinary Hospital are robust, allowing for thorough and accurate assessments of a pet's health. They boast in-house laboratory diagnostics for immediate blood and urine testing, which enables rapid diagnoses and timely treatment. Advanced imaging services include radiology (X-rays) for examining bones and internal organs, and ultrasound/echocardiogram for detailed soft tissue and cardiac evaluations. These diagnostic tools are critical for uncovering underlying conditions and guiding effective treatment plans. Jan 27, 2025 · Jessica SchmidtI had to put my fur baby to sleep. I was so sad and Peg who is my cats vet was extremely soothing and comforting. She showed me what was wrong and I knew he had no quality of life except for what he gave me and I gave him, LOVE! She was wonderful with him always. Highly recommend!
Feb 04, 2025 · Linda BottaiDr Barlow is AMAZING… you will be pressed to locate a better Veterinarian. As a breeder; she’s been an AMAZING sounding board & is precise, HONEST & truly loves animals! Did I mention she’s a Tufts Veterinarian Grad & might just be super human?!?! 😂❤️ We love you Dr. Barlow & all of her Tech staff & Receptionists. Happy Valentines Day
Feb 08, 2022 · Pamela GaniI have always been disappointed when going here. Dr. Barlow has terrible bedside manner and does not seem to understand animals at all. I had blood tests done on my senior cat, and some level came back high but she told me I shouldn't worry about it and didn't give any dietary advice. Took him to another vet 6 months later and they were horrified she didn't explain the issues he was having or offer any advice. He ended up passing a few weeks later from a treatable condition because Dr. Barlow did not do her job properly.
Sep 12, 2024 · KristenMy two year old rescue dog has only been a patient here for a year...I've brought her two times for shots and a check up! Found them very thorough and pleasant.. my dog is a very nervous one, they handled her just fine! Pretty reasonable on their prices as well!
