Welcome to Warner Center Pet Clinic

Warner Center Pet Clinic, located at 20930 Victory Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91367, USA, serves as a comprehensive "Pet Hospital" for the Woodland Hills community and surrounding areas. With contact numbers (818) 710-8528 and +1 818-710-8528, the clinic states its mission is to provide top-notch medical care in a warm and welcoming environment, valuing client satisfaction and the unique bond between pets and their owners. The clinic emphasizes having experienced veterinarians and a knowledgeable staff.

The environment at Warner Center Pet Clinic is designed to support a wide range of veterinary services, indicative of a full-service pet hospital. This would include a reception area, multiple examination rooms, and dedicated spaces for advanced medical procedures. The clinic explicitly states that it utilizes "state of the art equipment and specialized training" in a "clean and energetic atmosphere." This implies the presence of digital radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy, and a therapy laser, all intended to provide advanced diagnostic and treatment options. A sterile surgical suite with modern anesthesia monitoring equipment (including heart, blood pressure, and SPO2 monitors) and a heated surgery table to prevent hypothermia would be standard. An in-house laboratory for quick and accurate blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic tests would also be part of their facility. The overall aim of the environment is to provide a professional, safe, and comfortable setting for pets to receive care.

Warner Center Pet Clinic offers a comprehensive array of veterinary services for dogs and cats. These services are designed to address various aspects of pet health, from preventative care to complex medical and surgical needs:

  • Annual Exams and Wellness Care: Routine physical examinations are recommended annually, or more frequently for older pets (aged 5 years and older), to assess overall health, discuss pet owner concerns, and recommend routine bloodwork, fecal tests, and vaccinations. They also offer Wellness Exams with full blood panel and urinalysis for early detection of organ issues.

  • Vaccinations: Essential vaccinations for dogs (including rabies, rattlesnake vaccine, Canine Influenza (H3N8), Lyme, and Corona vaccine) and cats are provided. Vaccine titers are also available for immune-compromised pets or to prevent over-vaccination.

  • Dental Care: Comprehensive dental services, including professional cleanings and procedures, are offered. They mention both anesthetic and non-anesthetic dental options for general cleaning on approved patients, with discounts often available during National Pet Dental Month.

  • General & Laser Surgery: The clinic’s doctors are experienced in general and reproductive surgeries, including spays, neuters, cystotomies, and mass removals. They utilize CO2 laser for many surgical procedures to reduce bleeding and minimize post-operative pain. Pain management is tailored for each patient.

  • Advanced Diagnostics: Utilizing modern diagnostic tools such as digital X-rays, ultrasound, endoscopy, and advanced blood panels for accurate diagnosis of various conditions.

  • Emergency and Urgent Care: They have a veterinarian and personnel on duty six days a week to handle urgent care for dogs and cats. They also provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and reproductive services.

  • International Travel Health Certificates: They assist pet owners in obtaining Domestic or International Health Certificates for travel, requiring current Rabies vaccine certificates for pets four months or older.

  • Pain Management & Integrative Therapies: They offer laser treatments for arthritis, pain, swelling, surgical wound healing, and ear infections. Acupuncture and Biologics (for conditions like osteoarthritis, allergies, and diabetes) are also listed among their services.

  • Senior Pet Care: Specialized care for older pets, addressing their unique needs related to aging organs, osteoarthritis, and other senior-specific conditions.

  • Allergy Care: Diagnosis and treatment for pet allergies, including elimination diet trials, biologics, and immunotherapy.

Among its features, Warner Center Pet Clinic highlights its experienced team, led by Dr. Debra Jackson, DVM, who is the owner and practices general medicine with a special interest in surgery. Dr. Jackson is noted for thriving on emergency surgeries and complex challenges, earning a reputation as a "plastic surgeon for animals" due to her skill in laceration and wound repair. The clinic prides itself on providing "A1 customer service" and quick wait times, as indicated by some positive reviews. Their commitment to utilizing advanced technology like digital radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy, and laser surgery positions them as a modern veterinary facility. They also accept CareCredit and pet insurance, making veterinary care more financially accessible for clients. The clinic's online resources, including newsletters on various pet health topics, demonstrate an effort towards client education.

However, it is crucial to present a balanced view, as client experiences at Warner Center Pet Clinic appear to be highly polarized. While some clients laud Dr. Jackson and her staff as "the best in LA County" and praise their knowledge and dedication to getting pets "right," a particularly detailed and critical review raises significant concerns. This review alleges unprofessional practices, including:

  • Administering an unnecessary rabies vaccination despite being explicitly told the dog was already vaccinated and only needed a titer test for international travel.

  • Providing false medical information to justify additional charges, specifically claiming a rabies vaccine was needed for a titer test.

  • Failing to communicate about test results for almost four months after taking a substantial deposit, leading to significant distress and potential travel complications for the pet owner.

  • Charging what the reviewer describes as "extremely high prices compared to other clinics."

This negative feedback suggests potential issues with communication, transparency in billing, and adherence to client instructions, with the reviewer explicitly questioning the clinic's "integrity and competence" and accusing them of prioritizing "profit over pet health and owner concerns." Such a strong dissenting opinion, particularly one detailing alleged medical misinformation and negligence in follow-up, is a significant point for potential clients to consider.

From a promotional perspective, Warner Center Pet Clinic's official messaging, as seen on their website and other online profiles, would naturally focus on their strengths: their comprehensive range of services, advanced technology, Dr. Jackson's surgical expertise, and their commitment to providing "the finest in veterinary care" in a "caring environment." They likely promote their acceptance of various payment options like CareCredit and pet insurance, aiming to reduce financial barriers for clients. Online forms for new clients and active social media presence on Instagram and Facebook would be used to engage with the community. They also feature various newsletters on pet health topics. However, the presence of highly critical reviews means that pet owners researching the clinic would encounter a diverse set of opinions, necessitating thorough personal investigation and direct communication with the clinic to address any concerns before committing to services.

In conclusion, Warner Center Pet Clinic in Woodland Hills, CA, presents itself as a comprehensive "Pet Hospital" offering a wide array of veterinary services, from routine wellness and vaccinations to advanced diagnostics and general as well as emergency surgery. It prides itself on state-of-the-art equipment and a professional team led by Dr. Debra Jackson, known for her surgical skills. While some clients praise the clinic's efficiency and customer service, others report concerning experiences regarding unnecessary procedures, false information, and lack of communication, particularly concerning specialized services like international travel requirements. Prospective clients should carefully weigh all available information and consider discussing their specific needs and expectations with the clinic to ensure it aligns with their priorities for their pet's care.

I brought my dog here for a Rabies Vaccine Titer test needed for international travel. This experience was nothing short of frustrating and concerning. When I arrived, I CLEARLY explained to the nurse that my dog had ALREADY received his rabies vaccine, and we only needed the titer test and certificate for travel purposes. She quoted me $942.50 total, with an initial payment of $302.50 due that day and the remainder due when results arrived. I agreed to these terms. After waiting 30 minutes, they returned with an invoice for $336.50, the agreed $302.50 PLUS an additional $34 for a rabies vaccine. I specifically told them was unnecessary! When questioned, the nurse claimed "he needs it for the titer" which is completely false information. A titer test MEASURES EXISTING ANTIBODIES from previous vaccinations. Worse yet, administering multiple rabies vaccines within a short period could potentially harm my dog's health. They didn't give me any choice in the matter and I was forced to pay the full $336.50 to get my dog and paperwork. The nurse promised someone would contact me within 3-6 weeks after blood results arrived. It's now been ALMOST FOUR MONTHS with ZERO communication from them. No results, no follow-up, nothing despite taking a substantial deposit. This clinic appears to prioritize profit over pet health and owner concerns. They: -Administered an unnecessary vaccination after being told my dog was already vaccinated - Provided false medical information to justify additional charges - Failed to communicate about test results for months - Charged extremely high prices compared to other clinics Save yourself the headache, money, and potential risk to your pet's health. These unprofessional practices make me question their integrity and competence as veterinary providers. What makes this especially egregious is that pet care services should be built on trust and transparency. Our pets can't speak for themselves they depend on us to ensure they receive proper care. A veterinary clinic willing to administer unnecessary vaccines, provide false medical information, and neglect follow-up communication demonstrates a fundamental disregard for animal welfare and the human-animal bond. This type of behavior is particularly dangerous in pet healthcare where owners rely on professional expertise to make informed decisions. Unnecessary medical procedures can cause stress, potential adverse reactions, and health complications for our beloved pets. Any facility putting profit above pet health has no place in the veterinary profession. My advice? STAY AWAY from these professional scammers who clearly don't have your pet's best interests at heart!
