I boarded my puppy here for a couple of days and when I picked him up he was absolutely filthy! Despite my obvious complaint the owner/ Vet Dismissed my complaint! He could care less of the quality service they provide, it’s all about the money!! No pride in their service professionalism, customer beware

My cat did something to his teeth. I appreciate that we got to see the DR face to face. We came here bcz everywhere else had a 2 week wait. DR kept saying my cat was obese. He is not. ANYWAY, very irritated that DR added $65 medication that he told me my cat didn’t need!!!! When I spoke to them about this -they didn’t care. This is probably why there is NO WAIT TO SEE THEIR VET. Here is photo of my “obese” cat, DR Lee

WARNING FOR PET PARENTS!! PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS TO THIS PLACE!! WALKER STREET DOG AND CAT HOSPITAL IN LA PALMA. They don't explain the charges before treatments. I took my dog there because I can't get an appointment from our vet. I thought this would be cheaper than ER. My dog has skin problems and when he tries to shave her under arm my dog moves so he tranquilizes her. He told me to come back after 2 hours. He charged me $85 for staying there for 2 hours. Tranquilizer for $175. The total bill was $797. OMG, everything was more than other vets. I wonder why their parking lot is empty all the time.

My experience with animal hospital was shockingly bad. I have explained once my cat had passed on and discussed how he should have been cremated. I requested both the vet and the nurses to stamp both front paws of my cat multiple times while the nurses at the front just nodded their heads and agreed. Two weeks later my brother picked up the ashes of my cat and I was given the wrong set of paw prints. I came back to the hospital, requesting for a refund for the cat paws. The hospital refused to give me a refund without me surrendering the extra paw print to them, and it was a mere 25$ extra charge I had to pay out of pocket. I wanted to keep both paws but still want my money back since I directly requested those specific paws on the day my cat passed away with all the staff at the time agreeing. Despite the vet’s knowledge, what was revealed to me was the sheer greed of this hospital over a miscommunication between the nurses and the service while they seem to not care about their cilents needs. I’d suggest you should go to another place for emergency vet care, because this place will not give you the respect your animal deserves.

Description: I took my six year old, healthy dog to Walker Dog and Cat Hospital, 6940 Walker Street, La Palma, California because he wasn't feeling well. The receptionist took my dog into the vet, and came back and gave me a paper to sign that I assumed was permission to have my dog seen by the vet. A few minutes later, the vet came out and told me he had put my dog to sleep!!! The receptionist then told me that prior to me coming in, someone had called her and told her they were bringing their dog in to be put to sleep and she assumed it was me! This is absolutely unbelievable and outrageous. The veterinarian never asked to speak to me, prior to putting my perfectly healthy dog to sleep. When I asked him why he did it, he said because his receptionist told him that's what I wanted. This vet knows me and knows how I am with my pets, and knows I would never arbitrarily put my dog to sleep without having a long discussion with him first. He has no business dealing with animals OR people for that matter. Also, the receptionist knew she made a HUGE mistake, when she had me sign the paperwork AFTER the dog was already put to sleep. I am both furious and heart broken.
