Welcome to Vots
Welcome to the introduction of Vots, a "Pet Hospital" located at 301 Oyster Point Rd in Newport News, VA. Based on the available customer reviews, Vots appears to be a veterinary care provider that emphasizes efficiency and affordability, particularly for routine services like vaccinations. This introduction aims to provide local users with a detailed and objective overview of the environment, services, features, and any implicit promotional aspects of Vots, as gleaned from the experiences shared by pet owners online.
Location and Contact Information:
Vots is located at 301 Oyster Point Rd, Newport News, VA 23602, USA. For appointments or inquiries, you can contact them by phone at (757) 940-0431 or their mobile number +1 757-940-0431.
Environment:
The reviews offer limited insight into the physical environment of Vots. One reviewer mentioned being "typically in and out," which might suggest a streamlined setup focused on efficiency rather than extensive amenities. Another noted a "long wait" associated with a "discounted vaccine clinic," which could imply a high volume of clients, potentially in a more basic or busy setting compared to a full-service hospital focusing on a broader range of care. However, one reviewer specifically praised the "ladies at check out" as "AMAZING!", indicating a positive interaction at the administrative end of the visit. Overall, the focus seems to be more on the speed and cost-effectiveness of services rather than a luxurious or elaborate environment.
Services Offered:
The customer reviews provide direct information about some of the services offered at Vots:
Vaccinations: Both reviewers explicitly mentioned vaccinations as a key service. One stated, "I like it for vaxxes honestly," and the other mentioned coming back "every time I need to get my cats vaccinated." This strongly suggests that vaccinations are a primary and well-regarded service at Vots.
Microchipping: One reviewer had their kitten microchipped at Vots, indicating that this service is also provided.
The mention of a "discounted vaccine clinic" implies that Vots may specialize in offering more affordable routine preventative care like vaccinations. The fact that appointments are "easy to set" suggests a convenient process for accessing these services.
Based on the category "Pet Hospital," Vots likely offers other basic veterinary services, although these are not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews. These might include:
- Basic health check-ups, particularly in conjunction with vaccinations.
- Potentially, other preventative care measures like parasite control.
- Limited diagnostics or treatments for minor issues, although the emphasis on quick in-and-out service for vaccines might suggest a focus on more streamlined procedures.
To get a comprehensive understanding of all the services offered at Vots, local users are encouraged to contact them directly.
Features:
Several features of Vots can be identified from the customer feedback:
Easy Appointment Setting: One reviewer explicitly mentioned that "It's easy to set appointments," suggesting a user-friendly scheduling process.
Efficiency ("Typically in and out"): For at least some services, like vaccinations, Vots aims for quick service, allowing pet owners to get their animals the necessary care without lengthy visits.
Amazing Prices/Discounted Vaccines: Affordability is a significant feature, with one reviewer noting the "amazing" prices and another referring to it as a "discounted vaccine clinic." This suggests that cost-effectiveness is a key draw for Vots.
Amazing Checkout Staff: The positive feedback about the "ladies at check out" highlights the friendly and efficient administrative aspect of the clinic.
One potential issue mentioned was the failure to register a microchip, which the reviewer was working to resolve. While this indicates a service offered (microchipping), it also points to a potential area for improvement in their processes.
Promotional Information:
While there are no explicit promotional offers like discounts on other services mentioned, several aspects act as implicit promotions:
Affordable Vaccinations: The emphasis on "discounted vaccines" and "amazing prices" is a clear draw for pet owners looking for cost-effective preventative care.
Convenience and Speed: The ease of setting appointments and the "in and out" service for vaccinations appeal to busy pet owners.
Positive Staff Interactions: The praise for the checkout staff contributes to a positive overall impression of the clinic's customer service.
The fact that a customer states they will be "coming back every time I need to get my cats vaccinated" indicates a high level of satisfaction with this core service and its affordability.
In conclusion, Vots in Newport News, VA, appears to be a "Pet Hospital" that focuses on providing efficient and affordable veterinary care, particularly vaccinations. They offer easy appointment setting and aim for quick service. The prices, especially for vaccines, are considered "amazing," and the checkout staff is highly regarded. While there was a noted issue with microchip registration, the overall sentiment, particularly regarding vaccinations and cost, is positive. For local users seeking a convenient and budget-friendly option for routine preventative care like vaccinations, Vots is worth considering. To learn more about all the services they offer and their current pricing, contacting them directly is recommended.

Mar 30, 2025 · G. A.Wait was long, but what can you expect for a discounted vaccine clinic? Once it was our turn, they got us in and out! And the prices are amazing. Our only issue is that they forgot to register my kittens microchip, so when I went to try to sign in to add myself and my partner, it’s asking me to purchase the lifetime registration which the website says is included with the purchase of a microchip. So I’m working on getting that sorted out. Other than that I am so happy with my experience and I’ll be coming back every time I need to get my cats vaccinated💜
Sep 14, 2024 · McKenzie RectorI was happy when I finally found this place where my pets could be treated without drugging them. But today I had bad luck. If your pet is the nervous type, make sure Dr David is there, he knows how to treat pets. The replacement doctors do not have a bit of professionalism when treating "difficult" pets. Today I waited approximately 4 hours and when finally my turn came, they immediately returned with my pet covered up to the head saying that it was impossible to work with "Your dog almost ate us" (I put a muzzle on my pet even, other times real doctors even take it hands free, and I didn't have to put it on) If 3 people can't handle a small Chihuahua, it really makes me wonder how they will come up with other situations. The sad part is that this is not the first time I have encountered these types of "doctors." In another case, my dog was almost dying, and I took him to an "emergency hospital" waiting for hours in the early morning and when my turn came... They discriminated against me and threw my dog to the ground when my pet reacted badly. It was late, I was tired, everything was closed and with good reason because it was holyday. The only person who could help me that day didn't, this case was worse than the first of course, but today's treatment made me remember it.
Jun 29, 2024 · KarenNWღThe staff are amazing , the manager not so much. The front and back desk ladies are always kind and understanding, the vet techs are always willing to help and explain if you don't understand, but the way you see the manager treating their wonder staff breaks my heart some days.
Oct 14, 2024 · Kenny McNamaraI have always used the affordable vet care at care a lot for my dogs annual vaccinations. affordable vet care was so friendly and sweet to my dog despite his anxiety of new places and new people. today I took my beagle to get his annual vaccinations and the female asian tech from vots was RUDE. to start, she acted like a drill instructor while asking us questions about our beagle like she did not want to be there or care about him at all. I know she saw how anxious my dog was as I carried him to get his weight and she refused to take our leash or our dog physically when they took him back for his shots. she just kept telling us to drop our leash while she had a part of the retractable line and when we let go, she did not stop it from hitting our dog. then the whole time they were giving him vaccinations we could hear her yelling at our dog while he was crying and im sure scared to death. then she dragged him out at the end and again was basically giving us orders to get us out of there as quickly as possible. we usually come to get his vaccinations every year at care a lot but after this interaction we will be finding somewhere else to get his vaccinations.
