Virginia Veterinary Centers - Fredericksburg

The doctor and staff are absolutely amazing!! I will recommend the Fredericksburg location to everyone! Do not go to Richmond they are not passionate about dogs. Thank you to all the staff and and doctors I know your jobs are very stressful sometimes and I just can't thank you enough for all your compassion for my Nebula!!

After a dog attack on my lab from the neighbors Rottweiler, I was referred to Virginia Veterinary Center by my vet for emergency care. We were able to get my dog right in. They took him in right away for triage. They kept us well informed of what to expect. They provided great care, stitched him up, and got him headed on the road to healing. I highly recommend them!

We had to put down our 18 year old puppy and I cannot tell you how amazing and kind the staff was. We were brought to a private space as soon as we arrived and they walked us through the process. They took great care of our puppy and although it was a hard experience it was made easier with their help. The room they brought us to had a door so we could leave directly without having to go through the lobby. So thankful for their kind words and loving approach to a tough day!

We came here tonight with our dog after she suffered a facial laceration that required stitches. Everyone, and I mean everyone, was amazing—kind, understanding, and professional. I can't recall everyone's names, but I do know the receptionist was Jasmine and, again, just simply the best! My dog is a sweet girl, but she’s very anxious, which often comes across as aggression, especially at the vet. Bringing her in is always a worst-case scenario because it’s tough on both her and the staff due to her anxieties. However, the staff here was incredibly compassionate, and I truly felt that my dog was in great hands. The facility was very clean, well-lit, and even had snacks and a "kids corner." We were seen quickly, and they promptly took her back for sedation to get the stitches. The entire visit lasted maybe two hours. The staff truly made an impact on me tonight. They managed my pup with grace, empathy, and compassion. And to top it off, her stitches look fantastic! This will now be my go-to emergency vet, and I will highly recommend it to anyone who asks!

I’ve thought long and hard about leaving a review. I would rather issue a warning to other pet owners who are unaware of the overall COST of treatment at this facility. I would like to mention that EVERYONE was extremely kind to me. I would recommend that the facility be better at providing levels of care options, especially when the recommended treatment is extremely expensive. I assumed an emergency clinic would be more expensive. I was NOT expecting to be quoted 4 times the regular cost for services. I was quoted $10k for a foreign body surgery I was able to get done for $2400 the next morning. The pricing felt predatory and I did not feel comfortable agreeing to such a risky surgery with such an inflated price. I hope management is able to shed some light on the extreme price difference. It would help me feel better about my decision to choose their clinic that night.
