I started going to Vinewood Animal Clinic in the start of 2023, I heard the new doctor was great and wanted to give them a try again. I took my not very friendly Aussie there and they did great. I was already in the veterinary field and seeing how well they did with my dog and how they approached her slowly and gave her time, made me want to work there. Other clinics didn’t do to good with her. The staff was amazing and friendly and Dr. Frans was great explaining everything to me and being extremely slow with my aussie. I started working there the end of 2023 and has been there since. I have learned so much from Dr. Frans. I am not planning on taking my dogs to any other vet even if I work there or not. Dr. Frans has shown all 7 of my animals love and compassion since 2023. 🐾❤️

The clinic’s features, as reflected in customer reviews, present a mixed picture, highlighting both strengths and areas of concern. On the positive side, Dr. Frans is consistently praised for his excellent approach, particularly with difficult or anxious animals. One client, who also works in the veterinary field, noted how Dr. Frans and the staff handled their "not very friendly Aussie" with remarkable patience, approaching her slowly and giving her time. This slow, compassionate, and understanding approach is a significant feature, indicating a deep commitment to animal welfare and behavioral understanding. The staff is described as "amazing and friendly," contributing to a positive experience. The same reviewer, who later joined the clinic's team, emphasizes learning "so much from Dr. Frans" and expresses unwavering loyalty, stating they would not take their "7 animals to any other vet." This suggests a highly skilled and empathetic veterinary professional who inspires trust and admiration, even among peers.
However, another review raises a serious concern regarding Dr. Tyler's diagnostic capabilities, specifically in reading X-rays. A client brought in their English Cream Golden Retriever with a knee injury, and Dr. Tyler diagnosed a patella injury. After two weeks without improvement, the client sought a specialist who, upon reviewing Dr. Tyler's X-rays, identified clear signs of an aggressive osteosarcoma bone cancer, including a "moth-eaten" bone and a break. This misdiagnosis led to tragic consequences, with the dog losing a leg and subsequently succumbing to the cancer within two months. This stark difference in experiences highlights the importance of consistency in diagnostic accuracy across all veterinarians within the clinic and is a significant point of concern for potential clients. It suggests a potential variability in the level of expertise or attention to detail for complex cases within the clinic's veterinary team.
From a promotional perspective, Vinewood Animal Clinic can leverage the overwhelmingly positive feedback regarding Dr. Frans and his team's compassionate and effective handling of challenging pets, as well as the generally friendly and supportive staff. Showcasing these positive client experiences, perhaps through testimonials emphasizing the clinic's gentle approach and the staff's dedication, would be highly beneficial. Highlighting their comprehensive range of services, including specialized care for difficult animals, boarding, and grooming, could attract a broad client base. Emphasizing the welcoming environment and the staff's commitment to continuous learning (as expressed by the new employee) could also be part of their promotional efforts. However, in light of the negative review concerning a misdiagnosis, the clinic might also need to address how they ensure consistent diagnostic excellence and, perhaps, whether they offer second opinions or specialist referrals when complex conditions are suspected. Promoting their focus on "high-quality veterinary services" would need to address public trust in diagnostic accuracy across all veterinarians.
In conclusion, Vinewood Animal Clinic in Prairie Grove, AR, presents itself as a comprehensive Pet Hospital. It shines in its compassionate approach to handling difficult animals, particularly under the care of Dr. Frans, and benefits from a generally friendly and dedicated staff. The wide array of services offered makes it a convenient option for many pet owners. However, the presence of a severe negative review concerning diagnostic accuracy highlights a critical area where potential clients might perceive inconsistency in veterinary expertise. For pet owners, choosing Vinewood Animal Clinic would involve considering both the strong positive aspects of compassionate care and the concerning aspect of diagnostic reliability based on the available feedback.

Mar 05, 2025 · Lexi PenningtonI brought my English cream golden retriever in with a knee injury. Dr. Tyler did x-rays and told me she injured her patella in her knee cap. After 2 weeks of healing she still couldn't walk on it so I took her to a specialist in Stillwell Oklahoma. Dr Tyler sent over his x-rays. It was clear to see that the entire bone was moth eaten while the other leg bone was smooth, also there was a break. Dr. Sheets in Stillwell got the same exact x-rays. He diagnosed piper with cancer. Dr. Tyler miss diagnosed piper and after the biopsy and waiting weeks to heal, she had an aggressive osteosarcoma bone cancer. Her leg was amputated and 4 weeks later it moved to her lungs. In two months time I brought Piper home in a box. Dr Tyler apparently doesn't know how to read x-rays. I lost my beautiful girl and my heart is broken. Dr Tyler was Piper's vet. Will never use him again!
Mar 02, 2025 · Joy DurhamI am new to this area with a little elderly fur baby Chloe . I have used another animal hospital in this area and was not impressed at all. So when my little one was declining in health, I called Vinewood. From the first Moment I spoke with the lady on the telephone who was very compassionate, understanding and sweet, the technician, the sweet young lady, who brought my Chloe a kiss and the Doctor I couldn’t have asked for better care. They were all very understanding and patient with me at the moment of the hardest decision I had made. I would highly recommend them. I know when and if I get another little fur baby, they definitely Be the veterinarian of my choice. Thank you for taking such good care of Chloe.
